    I left my phone on 7 Dwarves Mine Train. Talk about panic since our whole trip agenda was on there. The cast members were very helpful and reunited me with my phone in about 2 minutes.

    We lost our 6 year old child at typhoon lagoon. But we had told him what to do ahead of time. After we had run around the park terrified we went to the lost child area…… which is what we had told him to do🤦🏻‍♀️. He was there having a lovely time!! He was calm, and did what was expected. It was us that panicked and behaved like drama queens 😂

    Lost parents 😉 can be pretty common in the parks.
    I’ve had a three year old get separated from their family in DAK Asia and end up by me in Dinoland - everything always works out and we’re always able to reunite parties, especially if all remain calm.
    Best tip for everyone is take a group pic at the start of your day so you know what everyone is wearing, and if anyone is separated see the first cast member you can find and tell them what’s going on. Especially those cast that have radios, we found the family and had the three year old headed over to Baby Care for a reunion within minutes.

    One thing to remember is that Disney's free cancellation policy applies to hurricane warnings but *not* hurricane watches. The National Hurricane Center will issue a warning if hurricane force winds (74+ mph) are expected in the area, and does so 36 hours before the expected arrival of tropical storm force winds (39+ mph). A hurricane watch means that hurricane force winds are possible, and the Hurricane Center will issue one 48 hours before the anticipated arrival of tropical storm force winds. Watches can turn into warnings and there's always a cone of uncertainty around storm paths.
    These time periods may seem long, but can go by quickly if you're traveling a long distance to get to WDW.

    I lost my wallet with ID in it in MK in 2018. I didn't use the site as I didn't know about it, but worked with the hotel staff and police to report it. I had to go through extra pat downs and hassles at the airport because I didn't have my ID. I got my wallet with ID and credit cards still in it mailed to me, but the cash was all gone. I'm glad I got it because getting a new ID is a pain.

    On our last trip to DisneyWorld, I lost my sunglasses case (hard sided clip on zipper pouch) with my regular glasses in it ($800 titanium framed prescription glasses). I was wearing my sunglasses and somehow managed to lose the case somewhere between Sanaa for lunch and Animal Kingdom watching the kite show. As soon as I realized it was gone, I went back to look at the last few places I had been, then eventually to guest services at the front of the park. They had me fill out the lost and found form on the website, and I went about the rest of my trip hoping. I checked back with guest services on the way out of the park that day, but no luck. A few days later they suggested that I check with lost and found over at Disney Springs (which is where all the valuable stuff moves to after it hits the front of the park if it isn't claimed). They didn't have anything for me, and I thought I was going to lose my glasses for good. On the day before our trip was over, I checked back with lost and found at Disney Springs and the girl working the counter said they found a case but she wasn't sure if they were mine. She took time out of her day at the end of her shift to go over to the warehouse location, took a picture of my case and glasses, and sent it to me. Somehow, my glasses had been found and turned in! I was able to get them back on the day of our departure. Nothing like spending 10 days at Disney without your glasses. Fortunately my sunglasses are also prescription so I wasn't completely blind.

    Speaking from experience, I got food poisoning from Ohana back in 2019. It was NOT fun. It happened on day 2 of my 7-day trip, and I didn't fully recover until a day after getting home. Disney, luckily, was very accommodating and gave me a few compensations. During the trip they gave me a few free fastpasses, and after the trip, they refunded me for one of my nights (since I spent half the day in that offsite urgent health spot). Also, I was advised to call their claims service after my trip for further compensation, and was given a partial refund to my dining plan (since I could barely eat all week), and two free nights at any moderate or lower hotel (or a discount at a deluxe hotel).
    Disney does their best to make right a situation they were in the wrong for! I knew I had gotten food poisoning in the park since I got it after 24 hours of just eating on the dining plan.
    It was an unfortunate, very uncomfortable vacation overall, but Disney did their best to still make it magical :)

    I had a mild panic my first trip that I didn't end up needing help for. after a whole day at Animal Kingdom, after a whole day at epcot the day before, I had a dining reservation in Magic Kingdom and by the time I got into the park and to the restaurant I was genuinely worried I wouldn't have the capacity to walk back out. Thank goodness an hour at dinner with my shoes off on the cold floor under the table did the trick, but I was starting to wonder if First Aid could wheel me back to the bus!

    If you’re anything like me and prone to going down quick while sick with a stomach bug or food poisoning (like trip to the ER, down quick). Talk with your doctor (or any doctor at an urgent care or somewhere similar) and ask if they can provide you with a prescription for nausea a medication for the trip. These meds have saved me after I finally realized I needed to do something different. They come with me on every trip now

    I need some help with my WDW vacation. Can someone tell me the chances of the virtual cue ending for Cosmic Rewind and or Tron before September 10th? Has any info been revealed concerning that? If you had just one day to do EPCOT and MNSSHP how would you get from the Swan to EPCOT (would you enter at the international gateway or the front entrance?), then to MK, and back to the Swan after MNSSHP? My niece moves into Flamingo Crossing the next day to start her DCP experience. Two of our top priorities are Cosmic Rewind and Tron. Okay, that’s my top priorities, because she’ll have months to ride them while she is working at WDW on her DCP. 😄 Thanks!!!

    • @prettyaintajob
      @prettyaintajob Рік тому

      I don't know about the virtual queues but I do know that the International Gateway is much closer to the Swan than the main entrance. You can either walk or take the water taxi, both will be faster than taking a bus/driving to the front of the park. There is a monorail that goes between EPCOT and MK so you could very easily take that to get to MNSSHP. Afterwards, you'll most likely need to take a bus back to the hotel. Hope this helps!
