- An overnight Car Camp in heavy rain with my dog Border Collie Bruce. Used my Ford Ranger, The North Face Wawona 6P tent and the Aqua Quest Defender 6x4m tarp. We had a great time, cooked some great food and explored the area. Unfortunately my back injury resurfaced and gradually I was becoming incapacitated.

Just finished this part. I had a whiskey and chilled with you and my 2 retrievers. I’m watching on a 100” projector screen so Brucey is life-size and my dogs keep trying to get his attention 😀 We’ve all had a crappy 2021, let’s hope that 2022 is much better. Looking forward to watching more adventures. 👍🏻

It's morning time here in Georgia and I have just recently started watching your videos. I have truly enjoyed them but this particular one I felt like I could relate to the most. I have the same background as you (Military) and enjoy camping and hiking for fun and relaxation. Like you, I also lost my father but he passed away in February 2021. I went through emotional ups and downs at various times throughout the year and needed to find something to help me relax and deal with the issues at hand. We have a family property in the country and that is where I spent most of my off time and also with family. The past few years have been hard for me particularly because I have lost a family member each year and before this had not ever dealt with the loss of someone and now I have lost 4 within a few years and the family looks to me for stability and guidance. With all that said, I understand and felt your pain in the video and hope you find peace and comfort.

Hey there. I'm in Georgia too. Where are your camping spots? I love Suches the best. At the "swinging bridge" which is actually a suspension bridge over the Toccoa river. Deep in the woods where except for people white water rafting down the river you don't see anybody. I have camped there for weeks at a time without seeing anybody. But with a military background you and Tony and Bruce are far more advanced at it than I am. Dahlonega and Helen are great places too. I live in Powder Springs. Nice to meet a neighbor on here! Sorry to interrupt, Tony and Bruce!! Happy adventures to all of y'all!! And before I go, my condolences to both of y'all for your grieving. God bless and may your loved ones RIP. Tony, that was real when you shared about your dad. It really moved me and I pray for you and Douglas, my neighbor.
@@braves9652 Dahlonega and Helen are beautiful places and I actually have a cousin that lives in Dahlonega. I love to go into the mountains in North Georgia or go up towards Gatlinburg. Anouther place is near Piscah Forest. There are numerous places around here but making sure the weather is right is the fun part. I actually have to drive up to the mountains as I am about 4 hours away sadly.
My heart goes out to you. I cannot imagine the year you've had.

I too lost my dad in 2020, on 14 Feb, known here in Cda as Valentines Day. B/c of craziness, I was unable to be near him, there’s a 3200km distant btwn where we live. While I am missing him greatly, I am also grateful as he missed all the nonsense of restrictions as with his dementia he would not have been able to understand any of it. I thoroughly enjoy the sound of rain on the tent, so tranquil, great night ambience.

My dad was who taught me that to love someone is not a feeling, but a decision, and that lesson was able to carry me thru another 12 yr journey w my beloved hubby who suffered w MS. W/out that decision to be by his side thru every challenge I would not have been able to weather that storm in our lives. May the Lord also bless you with peace and memories of your dad ❤️

I’m so sorry for your loss.❤ 2021 was absolutely horrible for me and my family too. We lost my Mom and I wasn’t allowed to be there either nor her funeral. I went through the Delta variant too and lost my 11 year old bobcat Baby. He really was my Baby. Your videos have been helping me to get through this. It’s so hard. Take good care.❤

Yay! Now I'm really missing you guys and the bushcraft videos. I'm missing Brucie, Monty Rueger and all the dogs. Am tearful now cos just a week ago had my beautiful Great Dane Baghera (Horsey) put down. I hugged her and bade her farewell but know she's happy in the doggy heaven. She had a growth that couldn't be operated on and it outgrew her. Now I find peace watching all the camping and bushcraft dogs. Go boys and gals! That rain sound is so cool and it's really an awesome place and setup you're in. Wishing you and your loved ones a really blessed New Year.

I know I haven’t said this enough on UA-cam: I’ve learned a great deal from you and your experience with camping. I also camp a few times a year in the U.S. (California Big Sur and northern California’s Red Woods) and apply what I’ve learned from you to my own camping. I enjoyed watch not only camping but also New Zealand’s camping scenes!

Tony you are an awesome UA-camr, you and Bruce make every video as fun and enjoyable as it should be. I’ve learned quite a bit about tents from you, and the fact that having a tarp is best overtop of your tent. I was in boy scouts when I was younger, and we used to sleep under a lean two (I think is how you say it) but I never figured to put a tent under it, but it makes perfect sense, otherwise you’re in your tent the entire time if the weather is bad lol. Rest In Peace to your dad, but I’m almost certain he’s with you enjoying every trip in spirit, and who knows maybe he’s playing with Bruce every time he runs off ☺️. Please continue making more videos, even if it’s not camping, just whatever adventure you and Bruce can do together, would also be enjoyable, even to see New Zealand, as I’m from the United States! Btw your North Face tent the giant orange one, has me excited to one day buy one and go on my own adventure with a tent like that, it looks awesome! Oh Brother, I'm so sorry about your pop. Our father is our original hero. He's the standard by which we judge all other men. I remember once when I was a little boy, my pop tackled a shop lifter in a local mall. I was terrified and proud at the same time. Your Dad taught you right from wrong, he gave you the tools to succeed in life. And you've taken those tools and thrived. I am confident that he is proud of you for the man that you are. Thank you for sharing your life and your passion for the outdoors with us. Your videos are a warm fire in our hearts.
When I first found your channel I thought they were too long. But utube saves your place and starts where you left off. I enjoy one video over a couple or so days so I enjoy them very much.

Thank you Tony and Bruce for all of your adventures in 2021. My thoughts my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family for the loss of your father and how horrible that must have been to not be able to go to his funeral. Also I'm glad you touched on the opioid crisis I lost my 30-year-old son in 2016 to a fentanyl poisoning. After 5 years the person who poisoned him finally with sentence to 15 years in prison it will not bring him back but we feel it will keep him up the streets from harming anyone else. My son Zachary loved the outdoors and shared a cabin with his father in the North Woods of Wisconsin that was his happy place. He also always took his little dog Roo on all of his adventures up north. I'm looking so forward to camping the spring. After watching you set up and tear down your tent through all of these videos I hope I have an easier time this year. I have learned some wonderful tips from you keep on doing what you're doing. I love watching your videos in the evening when I have hard time sleeping it takes my mind off of the more unpleasant things in life. Thank you again for all that you are doing for so many people and entertaining us and all that you do. ♥️🏡👀🌲

I love the long format; maybe not with someone else. Love the rain. Here in southern Arizona we get all excited if we get six drops of rain. My husband spends hours watering our plants. We look forward to the monsoons. Don’t forget - though it’s so sad that you had to lose your father. The good news is you had a father. Some of us didn’t. I’ll watch all of your vids.

Glad you’re feeling much better. I have got to say I struggle to sleep and relax so much due to work schedules taking it out of me. Hi Tony and Brucie! My Mom loved the rain, she would sit out on a gravel bar on the river, with a straw hat, and fish in the rain all day! I also love the rain and your rain camping videos are so relaxing, just love them!!!! My Mom made the best cheeseburgers, she used Colby-jack cheese, and she placed the bun on top of the burger at the end and if you could just place some kind of lid, or even foil, on for a few minutes, it just creates the best moist burger possible! Love you guys!!!

Tony,I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your father in 2021,and there is always something that we never are prepared for when that happens,but we must continue to live our life to the fullest,because back in our mind we know that the person that we lost would like us to continue to do what we love the most,in your case Tony it’s being out camping with Bruce,during my 65 years of living I lost my two parents when I was very very young,and later in my life I lost one brother and one sister,but we keep on living and try to do the best whit our life.So from a Sweden in the beginning of February 2022 with cold weather (no rain though) I wish you and Bruce a better 2022,be safe and take care cheers :) :) :)
Hello Tony, your pancake look very good, for your back pain try cooking with 1 table spoon of Turmeric powder in your cooking like soup, or vegetables what ever you cook, stews and eat a lot of fresh blueberries or strawberries Grapes, bananas and fresh pineapple juice in the can or fresh, what ever you like, it will take some of your pain away or you can get in the shower let the water run on your back as hot as you can stand it, you will see a big difference and also try drinking peppermint tea is good, God Bless you Tony and Bruce!
