We finished the sheet rocking and now we wait for the mudder. thankful to be one step closer to done. Thank you everyone for your kind comments! Music By- Imovie
You two are doing an amazing job on your bath project. Chet, as young as he is, really knows what he's doing. So do you Nicole. Both of you are a love story made in Heaven.
I was thinking #1 rule I've found with cutting drywall.... no wall is ever perfectly straight.... it was probly 86 3/4" at the bottom of the wall but 86 5/8" at the top... but also... totally yes!!! that's why you use 90 minute drywall mud and mix it in 5 gallon pails and mud quickly, then it drys relatively fast even if you have to lay it on thick, if you need more time to work, you can just add some extra water when mixing it, and use a drywall sander to sand it off if you get it a little thick.. just a large sander and use 40-80 grit sand paper
The sheet was bowed when you measured it, keep your saw horses closer and possibly cut it a 1/8 to 1/4 inch short. Your Adhesive Fiberglass Joint Tape and joint compound will fill in the seems.
Way to work Chet after a long day of farming and shop work . His labor will be worth the time and hassle when done . The bathroom looks great for it being a diy project . You can't tell that you guys did 95 percent of the work . Nice video stay safe and keep up the good work !
So so so sorry I've been looking back some on previous days I enjoyed you both working together ,,, I am lost for words sorry I will keep you all in my prayers
Its looking good guys There is something about doing it yourself beside saving money its also a great learning experience and its satisfying most of the time
Hey Chet and Nicole, also just a heads up, when putting the final sheet into a room like that, what you do is bow the centre of the sheet, get ur 2 ends in true, then push your centre home, that few mm, (quarter inch) or so will sit right at home! (30 yrs Dry-Wall experience) Awesome job you 2! :)
Don't you just love sheetrock? LOL I have had enough of that for a lifetime. LOL I would rather paint! Excited to see the finished projects! I bet it's going to be beautiful! Blessings
2 hints or tricks from a sheetrocker both carry from the face side it a lot easier and if it doesn't fit hold the internals and just bow the centre out. Glad you took my advice and double layered the ceiling much easier. Cheers Tony, sydney Australia
Nicole, put in some electric towel racks. They can serve as radiators in the winter. Chet is a smart dude, but I would push back on the “doors are always open” theory. Good way to get frozen pipes in the MN winter.
wow, that's gotta be a pain with the No Dairy, I know I used to not be able to have dairy, soo I took some allergy shots when I was a teenager every week and between those and getting older I grew out of it, sooo glad I can have cheese now!!!
Rosin paper on the stairs man. And Chet sounds just like Dougie. "Ridiculous!" Usually you have to have a vent per code. Check with your township (the county down here in TX)
Looking good guessing it’s to late but the 45 minute spackle work best. If you add salt to mixing water it’s sets even faster. Glad you guys didn’t kill each other. Great video
Rip every inch of carpet out, hardwood, laminate flooring, with big rugs if ya want soft-on-the-feet flooring, easy cleaning, ur Mrs. will love it, cheers!
You are very patient. My husband and I, married 47 years, can not carpenter. Immediate fight. He is very clever but grumpy and I have never developed your ability to patiently prod him along.
I would die if I couldn't have cheese and milk. I imagine that's not the only bathroom? I could see Chet using a porta potty and garden hose to clean up tho lol.
when you cut that sheetrock you layed it on the sawhorses and the sheetrock bowed down and you measured it with the bow that's why the mistake just saying
I have to admire you Nicole, the madder Chet gets the more you smile & laugh which is a good thing.😊
He don't get mad he just complans a lot
Ya know you have a good wife when she keeps you from flying off the handle when you get frustrated...
You two are doing an amazing job on your bath project. Chet, as young as he is, really knows what he's doing. So do you Nicole. Both of you are a love story made in Heaven.
There is no heaven...just saying
Looking good! Dry wallers hide the carpenters mistakes, mudders hide the dry wallers mistakes, and the painter hides them all! Lol
You forgot about the trim carpenter who has to cover for everyone and can’t leave mistakes behind. Been there, done that.
What about the trim carpenter who has to cover for everyone?
Fortunately the mistakes get smaller with each step. Or at least they’re supposed to. ;-)
I so enjoy this family group. Their lives and videos are interesting and fun!
Poor Chet, I think he needs a vacation. God bless you two.
You can cut the drywall short, that’s why drywall mud comes in five gallon pails. 😂
Better to minimize the gaps, otherwise joints are more likely to move and crack.

I watch this every time I need a good laugh. You guys are great together.

Great video! I like it when you have bleep out some words. I was laughing because it’s so true.
You two are a cute couple, I really like your show.
Cool project. I enjoy watching Chet get flustered and then bosses you around. But we know who the real boss is haha!
Its looking good guys There is something about doing it yourself beside saving money its also a great learning experience and its satisfying most of the time

Your just like my girl friend poking a stick at a barking Rottweiler lol love it
Looks good you two, not bad communication between you two as well. Everybody got it in without breaking it or cussing too much.
Thanks for sharing see yaa.
👍👍
Use the rug doctor the scrubber machine for the carpet
wow, that's gotta be a pain with the No Dairy, I know I used to not be able to have dairy, soo I took some allergy shots when I was a teenager every week and between those and getting older I grew out of it, sooo glad I can have cheese now!!!
Measure 5x cut once lol. Nice call on the vent Nicole!!!!! Don’t let Chet fib and say it can’t be done ;).
Plenty of room in the attic. Easy to do in the future. They’ll get around to it when the mold starts growing.
Rosin paper on the stairs man. And Chet sounds just like Dougie. "Ridiculous!" Usually you have to have a vent per code. Check with your township (the county down here in TX)

45 min is too fast for me.
And don’t add random stuff to the mud unless you want problems.
Gregory salt makes dry really fast. You can get a room done in a day with it.
A lot of “working words as Brian would say”
That’s funny 😄
Chet you are just like my best friend with dairy but instead of you not liking it could kill him
Rip every inch of carpet out, hardwood, laminate flooring, with big rugs if ya want soft-on-the-feet flooring, easy cleaning, ur Mrs. will love it, cheers!
Good thing Nicole is flexible carrying that stuff upstairs
You are very patient. My husband and I, married 47 years, can not carpenter. Immediate fight. He is very clever but grumpy and I have never developed your ability to patiently prod him along.
nicole lucky you are there to keep a eye on chets workmanship
I have these kinds of issues everytime i do a project
it was sagging on the sawhorses so it came out longer than what u measured.
RIP Nikki.
I would die if I couldn't have cheese and milk. I imagine that's not the only bathroom? I could see Chet using a porta potty and garden hose to clean up tho lol.
You two are comical together you two are perfect for each other
I feel you on dairy. I have to avoid it.
Couples that can survive a renovation together will have a marriage that survives.
Like your steel toed shoes you wore on job site while carrying that dry wall ... Lol
That message was meant for Nicole.
I've been subbed to Larson Farms for a good while now. It just makes sense to sub here too. Should have done it ages ago!
Haha well thank you!!
What about the vapor barrier
Now slide it in,that's what she said!!!,also she said, that's half inch short!!!!😂😂😂👍🏻🙈🙈
A sheet rock gun is well worth $150!!! Made life easier when hanging sheetrock
Your measuring with a bow in the sheet
when you cut that sheetrock you layed it on the sawhorses and the sheetrock bowed down and you measured it with the bow that's why the mistake just saying
Saw that right away and came to the comments section to post it. Common mistake.
First!
Looking great. Shower little small but your both small.
Shower isn’t really big enough for two... :-(
Where do you buy that non dairy cheese? Just curious.
That brand is from a small health food market. But there are other brands that Walmart sells
Check this out the next stop at Menards. SKU # 765-4115. For your carpet protector
here is a dumb question. why are you insulating a interior bathroom wall? for sound?
Yep for sound
When is the next video
This weekend
The pizza is not burning is it😬🤣
Is that a chet word
well i better . second !!!!!!! :-)
Why you insulating an interior wall?
Sound
There’s only the two of you in that house. Who would be listening??? ;-)
It's going to be real tight in that little shower for both of you at the same time lol good job. Carl
They're small people. That's the after sex shower, not the daily shower.
Are you trying to say you're clumzy Chet
This girl isn’t there anymore.
Caulking and paint a carpenter cain't. Who is going to mud and tape the drywall?
No next time you will be cleaning up the mudders sanding mess and dropped mud.LOL
These commercials that pop up 3-6 times during these vids on UA-cam are getting out of hand.
?
Chet you love and
you think farmers rag on you. Just wait tell the remodelers hit the keyboard.......
