Chet and I work on putting the carpet back in the rooms around the new bathroom. Also we put wood trim on and our closet door back up! Thanks For All Your Kind Comments :) Music By- iMovie
Ignore any negative carpet laying comments you did fine for the first time out. And you guys make a pretty darn good team. And then if you go back and rewatch some of the videos on carpet laying. The seam techniques will make a lot more sense
Interesting overall not a bad job however it does point out that Carpet Layers should not be Famers and Farmers should not be Carpet Layers. Carpet laying always looks easier when others do it.
Hiya, good job Chet, you've learned a lot from YT as well as teaching us a lot! Nikki your editing is wonderful as well as how well you do in the films!!! Take care Dear Lady & both of you stay safe...Steve... Still praying for you both...
My dad always used to say, "You learn from your mistakes!" And he was a self-taught carpenter his whole life, and eventually he became a master carpenter, and he had me toting a hammer, and other things around when I was still in diapers, I guess to try to train me so I could follow in his footsteps, and I guess I should have, but I became a truck driver instead, but there was nothing he didn't know about carpentry, or construction, but Chet let me give you a bit of advice, and you can take it for what it's worth, you can argue all you want, but don't! Because she's going to get her way eventually whether you like it, or not, so bite your lip, go outside, and scream, kick the dog (no don't kick the dog!), I was only joking, (and I am a lover of animals), but let me say this, you kids are adorable together, and it's easy to see that you are totally in love with one another! You guys are doing a great job, so keep it up, and best wishes!...👍🤗😁
Lol ,,, Chet the eternal optimist rofl ... He reminds us of his Dad more and more each video. Seems Chet and Doug are the worry warts and Nicole and Amy are the voices of patience and reason. Still the funniest couples on UA-cam :). Keep up the shenanigans you are a breath of fresh air in these eternally negative times. Thanks for the video.
Great job Chet and Nicole, but I sure hope there's something left of Chet's knee the next day! I don't think I would be able to walk if I used that carpet stretcher thing!
I'm a new subscriber to this and the Larson Farms channel and just want to say I really enjoy your videos, I've been bingeing on them all for the past couple of weeks! My knees are sore just watching Chet hit that carpet stretcher. I'm only 32, but I've worked in a trade that requires me to be on my knees a lot for the past 15 years, and they're not in good shape!
If you had a metal snipper, it would have been safer to cut and place the tack strip. Plus seems you should have rubbed the carpet down with a back side of a hammer. The side to side motion is easy when kicking in the carpet In tight places to not be able to get momentum. Place your foot against the back wall. Extend your foot and be slowly pushing the carpet forward. Stretchers may be rented at some tool places. Where a newkneekicker youhave there start at about $ 120. But beware of a $ 40 one from Harbor Freight !
Hey Chet & Nicole, Nice job on the bathroom and carpeting.. looks very nice. Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know they make a strip just for transitioning from the carpet to any hard surface, be it wood, linoleum etc. You can pick it up at any home improvement store like Lowe's, Home Depot, probably Ace Hardware, very inexpensive. It's called a transition strip and it's made out of very lite grade aluminum and is very easy to install. If that's not the correct name, that's just what we call it where I live, just tell your home improvement guy what you are doing and I am sure he can point you in the right direction. I have them installed in several areas in my house and it will keep the carpet secure, from fraying and gives it a nice finished look. Chet, dropped you some wall anchors in the mail today in case your towel rack should come loose *LOL*. I can assure you these will hold securely. Just don't crank down on them too tight. Just tight enough to be flush with your dry wall. You will understand when you see them. They will be coming from NC so you should see them sometime next week. You both have done a tremendous job on your remodeling project. I watch both your channels whenever you have anything posted. Take care..
You two make me remember when🙂..jack of all trades master of none😂..but I always put laminate down because my carpet laying skills stopped at the 2x2 squares..u 2 go!!😘
I'm a huge fan of Larson Farms channel and appreciate you and Chet posting these videos. Thank you for editing everything, Nicole. I'm sure it's hard work. Now that being said.. a smart man would have just moved the job saw right outside the front door. Haha. Keep it up you two. Much love.
Love to watch you guys and your projects.......you are both so so handy and that saves a ton of $$$. Love the spirit and the tenacity to stay with your projects when you have so much else on your plates. Great video......Love your channel. Blessings
Well I will have to say I’ve laid carpet for almost 30 years and I’ve done my construction business for 35 I have to give you all an a for effort at least you’re trying you’ve got the right technique your carpet in your doorway should be hot seemed together not two-sided tape because it won’t hold but you’re doing a fine job I enjoy watching you
Probably to late . but seaming iron and tape.would not bend the tack stripes over.if you can't get the carpet back together you may have to rent a power stretcher.home depot Should have it. Becarful thought will move walls if you put to much pressure on it.load bearing or out side walls are best to work off of.
Check out a 3m orbital sander pneumatic for flat surfaces and a pneumatic powered soft wire wheel for those hard to get detailed table legs I was watching one of ypur old vids sanding/stripping those fancy tables. You do rely nice work just trying to help you with sanding which everyone hates ! Thanks you have great talent and patience!!
You ran the wood floor in the bath to far out of the door. transition should take place under the door so you do not see wood in the hall way. Carpet layers don't go out and farm so why should farmers try to be carpet layers. Everyone needs to make a living.
The reason it went out into the hallway is because that was the end of the hall originally where the carpet stops. So we didn’t have any more carpet to go under the door with. It works and it looks good in our opinion.
Re watching. You will be missed!!!! Thanks for the memories!
She was so beautiful she left way too soon 💔💔💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏 RIP Nicole you are God's angel now
We all miss Nicole!!! My sister passed away near the same time as Nicole did! She didn't have have to suffer as long though!!
I’m guessing there will never be a Doug o and sons window and carpet laying company some day 😂
Your parents raised some polite, hardworking, funny kids. You have nothing to be ashamed of, at least you try. God bless you both. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love watching a young couple figuring it out and getting it done. The best way to learn is just get down and dirty.
Love it, nice job
rest in peace young lady...............
R.i.p Nicole ya will be sadly missed
The small things you'll remember forever
From a guy who lays , carpet you did great, glad you got to relive your child hood.hint tin or aviation snips work great for cutting tack strip.
Ignore any negative carpet laying comments you did fine for the first time out. And you guys make a pretty darn good team. And then if you go back and rewatch some of the videos on carpet laying. The seam techniques will make a lot more sense
You and Chet did a fine job on that carpet. Even if it's not perfect at least he tried his best on those seams .
Luv u 2 young ones.!! Have fun brother.!! Sweet mamma SUPERVISING!! Remember MAMMA D BOSS!!
Every professional started out as unskilled, Chet. You don’t know where this may lead. 🤣
Long time subscriber, first time first to comment. Nice video. Must have strong marriage, you two work well together.
Chet no worries you don't look as bad as some of us out here are not even close to be carpenters lol
Enough lights in the closet, looks like. Plane runway, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wanted : Good used crutches. Call Chet.
I bought a shower unit like that one and it leaked and we never could use it. Leak was around the trim somewhere. Hope you have better luck.
love watching Larson farms videos

Great job Chet and Nicole, but I sure hope there's something left of Chet's knee the next day! I don't think I would be able to walk if I used that carpet stretcher thing!
Definitely a good chuckle when I heard “but our tape doesn’t need an iron”. Remodel looking great so far!
Don't forget feed him some brownies ......
Nicole and Chet u have a beautiful yard

Chet you can put your hands to all things 👏👍
Great couple working together 😂❤️
You could have a katana edge and it still won't cut carpet worth a crap, I feel your pain Cheto. Your friend The Nebraskan Assassin
Love the old grainary door so cool
Never knew you, but miss your spirit
It’s ok to hire a professional, especially for carpeting. From my experience, trying to do carpeting when you don’t quite know what your doing sucks!
I love rustic wood it looks great the door👍
The transition from carpet to path room floor needs a metal strip that will hold the carpet.
This is one of those moments when you call a professional carpet layer to do it right and apologize for all your screw ups. 😂😂
Aren’t you supposed to wear a rubber knee guard when you do that? Both my knees are shot, take care of yours they don’t last forever. 🙋🏼
Looks nice. Great old barn door. 👍
Yes your better with the room empty 🤔
Just get a brass bar to join under the door..
Looking good. Enjoy ur weekend
Your remodeling looks great ....... 👍👍👍
Looking Good 👍
Way to go Chet on laying carpet! Looks good ! reminds me and my wife on are first house 35 years ago !! memorizes you will remember forever!!
You need a double way door strip which has w sets of barbs for the 2seperate carpets
Man I am still laughing about the carpet tape holy cow. The room is looking good almost done though always cool to see the work you both do
Nice team work and nice improvements. Enjoyed

It's looks like your trying to start a dirt bike backwards....lololol love ya guys
Whew!!! Chet made it through the video without kneeling on or stepping on those carpet tack strips. Those things can hurt. (So I've heard. Ha!Ha!)
Nice wedding picture
Learning is a good thing

Chet, you are one impressive guy...Nicole, you have your hands full young lady!! I wish you both luck! Chet you can be amazingly sweet sometimes.
Watching you guys tackle that, makes me remember why I would NEVER attempt that myself 😂🤣
Now the next project I vote for a wrap around deck lol
I thought you guys did really good for not knowing exactly what to do.

@@nicolesuntoldgold6239 Give that commentor Rick a call 🤔
That is a tough job but, you guys hung in there. Thanks for another great DIY video. :)
You and Chet are extreme smart and industrious people. Great work. 🇺🇸😄
Tell him not to give up farming. Carpet laying is not his specialty for sure.
Nice job Chet!!👍👍
Looking good guys, saving yourselves qlot of money doing it yourselves great job.
bet you could have traded sweet corn to a pro carpet person....they would have been done before you could have got back from the field.
You two work together really well, Nicole is keeping you busy when you have time to play.
Awesome job
Awesome, it's coming together quite nicely!!!!
Love that big picture in the background:)
You can put a threshold over that seam, to cover it and hold it in place!
Haha Chet I was waiting for you to send it right through the wall😂😂
So Nicole can you tell us Chet-o stories like Chet tells Doug-o stories?
Great job Chet ! Place is looking nice ! peace

1 other thing don't run tack strip thur the door this is the only place you might step on it seaming tape Will hold it.
Use a fancy/stylish transition strip there.
Nicole I was watching your t
Almost there to the finish looks great!
😎👍
🤳👍👍👍🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
Chat is way too hard himself he needs to relax
That's why they have carpet guys.
If he a sharp knife he might hurt him self
Nicole, you do it if you know how

why do my knees hurt?

I love Chet's Tee 😉
You should have had Eric the BIG SWED knee that carpet tool. It would have been tighter than a banjo sting.
