    SAFC LEGEND . Took us from bottom of the championship, to winning the league , then kept us in the premier league and won our first derby for a long time before the 6 in a row . Good times .

      @@IR._ he fell out with the new owners basically, keano was asked how many days he’s coming up to the city and he was here for about 2 days a week but Ellis Short wanted a more committed manager, keane took this badly and it escalated basically meaning he would leave.

      Totally agree. Im STAGGERED (at maguire lmao) that he wasnt in contention for the utd job! I firmly believe he would do a great job. Equally i get it - the board wouldnt want someone whos gonna challenge them on the way things are done. Just like at Arsenal 🤦‍♂️

      Just an angry man? What a daft opinion. One does not captain MUFC so successfully for so long and then get Sunderland promoted without knowing tactics. People also say he was just a thug. No. He had the skills. I remember when he was still at Forrest before MUFC. People were talking about how good he was even then. Gifted player. Angry? He does not suffer fools.

    He took Sunderland from 23rd to 1st in a matter of weeks,and won Manager of the Year......in his first job,in his first year.
    Also, Alfi Haaland himself says "Keane didn't end my career"
    So hopefully,this comment helps to end two of the biggest ongoing myths around Keane.

      His style of management felt out of style the classic hairdresser method doesnt work on players anymore plus Keane himself had very bad anger issues he couldnt be patient with developing players. Also he hated mediocrity so much at Ipswich became a literal madman. Managers like Klopp who take a gradual approach to the game developing players and finding out their best potential succeed more nowadays

    You can tell he took some inspiration from Brian Clough’s interviewing style; when Nottingham Forest were becoming underdogs and Clough basically saying “they beat us because they’re a better, more expensive team”.

      Roy Keane never played for Leeds and Clough was only there for 44 days.

    When people started talking about Keane replacing Ole, I would get a little annoyed, because it was a roumer that showed that people had learned absolutely nothing from last time. Like watching a kid get burnt by a hot iron, only to touch it again with their other hand. But then I stopped and wondered why I'm complaining, because if post match interviews that consist of the same points as this one would be the norm then I think he's exactly the guy who should be Manchester United manager
