I think had things gone differently he could have transitioned well to picking up where Ferguson left off,could have been his number 2 for a couple of years after finished playing

I suggest to look around the Europe, other leagues & search for good professional/talented coaches, they can also help with scouting. Once he has his own team, they can develop chemistry & then have projects to develop teams. He'd be great for Everton if Roy builds his own team around him, has his own development projects/plans.
