"There is nothing more American than storming into some place you're not invited, then complaining about who's already there." There are over 7,000 languages in the world, and this guy chose to speak facts.
You forgot about the time Aric Almirola yielded his ride to Denny Hamlin so he was able to fulfil his contractual obligation with his sponsor. It was so generous of Aric to do that! I mean, he was still credited with a joint win, but hey... Nothing can be perfect, can it?
@@Wagon_Attack I know I’m just referring to the wit and sarcasm Brock uses to get his true opinions across. I specifically liked 2:50 when he talks about practice sessions.
I love all the Busch wackers in every series. Its amazing how someone can’t love love seeing the top 5 positions taken by drivers that we really don’t see enough of.Took me a wile to remember what the date was, definitely one of the greatest pranks ever.
I definitely loved the 2010 Nationwide series season, where full-time Cup drivers won all but 2 races that year. If it wasn't for that rotten Justin Allgaier and Boris Said mucking everything up, it would've been a clean sweep!
Did anyone complain when Fonty Flock won the 1949 Modified championship while also running 75% of the Strictly Stock races? Lee Petty winning titles in the short track division? Curtis Turner winning 22 Convertible races in '56? Bobby Allison racking up Grand American, Modified and Sportsman wins? Personally I think the major problem isn't drivers who run in the lower series: It's a schedule where 80% of the races are companion races that creates the problem. Race where the Cup guys aren't going, and the problem drastically dissipates.
The scheduling is a big part of the problem, but so is the fact that the much older series weren't about driver development - they tended to be entirely different disciplines. More like running NASCAR versus IndyCar or World of Outlaws.
@@LASTCARonBROCK I'd argue that the Sportsman/Busch series wasn't about driver development for most of its history. It was a component for sure, but for most of the '70's 80's and 90's it was a home for short track specialists who didn't want to go to Cup and have to race on superspeedways too much. Guys like Butch Lindley, Tommy Houston, Jack Ingram, etc who were definitely talented enough for Cup but weren't interested in moving up. Losing those kind of drivers (and the competitive Busch-only teams that hired them) leaves us with a rotating cast of rich kids with Cup teams running laps around the 25-30 cars that have zero chance of doing well outside of a wreckfest at Daytona or Talladega. And every other series from Trucks to ARCA to the East/West series has basically lost everything that made them unique in order to make a perfect pipeline. Only the Modifieds are still truly themselves.
If it weren’t for legendary 20 second margin wins from Kyle Busch, Edwards or Harvick against amateurs, my 🐐 Kevin Conway wouldn’t have won the Rookie Champion of the Universe award in 2010 😤😤
Goes to show that the 2006 Busch season is and will always be the best season in NASCAR history. The top 5 in points were all cup drivers, as it should be. Like proud Americans they plundered as they pleased. Such a shame though that those nobodies stole a slice of their achievements, Gilliland and Menard, by actually winning a race each. At least I can take solace in that in their way too long Cup careers they only had 1 fuel mileage win between them.
I used to love it when Matt kenseth would dominate a Busch race and a cup race the same weekend. Life as a kenseth fan was pretty damn good for a decade or so
Despite the date a fair point is the mentorship the more experienced drivers can give to the up and coming drivers. Sure Matt Crafton Johnny Sauter or Justin Algaier fits that mode as well but having a Cup driver race in either series does at least helps with that role.
Personally I think that was done better in the '90's when we had more guys who were Busch lifers like Mike McLaughlin or Jason Keller. Experienced vets who can be a good influence on younger talent. Nowadays Xfinity and especially Trucks are mostly interchangeable spoiled brats.
I forgot I can’t wait to watch Tyler ankrum go in a circle for 2 hours :))))))) that’s what I want to do with my Friday night. Pretty soon xfinity and truck will be like arca.
I know why this was posted but honestly Buschwhackers was a lost art. No other racing series allow their top tier driver to race in a lower level series aside from NASCAR
After only listening to 45 seconds of this video, I could tell that narrating this video was causing you such immense internal anguish you couldn’t even pretend to sound sincere.
Happy April Fool's Day😄 Seriously though, the problem with Buschwhacking in this era is that the car matters so much more than it did in the past. The engineering is too aero-based. Look at the teams consistently at the top of the Xfinity Series. Childress, Gibbs, JR, Kaulig, & Stewart/Haas. It's almost assured that their full time drivers will be in the Top 10 in points. So when a Cup driver, already having an advantage in skill and experience, gets to drive a winning car in a lower series, why should they not be expected to win? Besides, they have a job on Sunday. Usually, the Buschwhacker is pushing someone else out of the Saturday race; someone else who is trying to make a living in Xfinity.
i don't always mind cup guys in the lower series. especially when they're driving a Chevy. Sr and Martin did win a lot of Busch races and people didn't care as far as I know. I was cheering for KFB to win the truck race at Pocono in '23 especially since i HATE Toyota and Corey.
If you're talking seriously, YOU ARE WRONG If you're being ironic or just thinking that a lower-tier shouldn't help develop new riders, I GET IT My big problem with lower-tier racing is that people tend to focus too much on age-limiting or even performance-limiting competitors. There are age limits in Moto3 and MX2 (that's the 2nd class of the FIM Motocross World Championship) and over in the USA the AMA will literally kick you out of their 250F motocross and supercross competitions if you win "too much". Lower-tier racing should work like lower tiers work in other sports: · Nobody is forced to move up (I don't mind if you wanna drive in the Truck series forever) · No big name should ever step down "for fun" more than 1-2-3 times per season Seeing the list of winners for the Grand National and even Truck series for certain years is absolutely appalling and it 100% created a stagnation of the talent as there were few chances. Nowadays? It's much better on both sides: the list of winners look non-Cup enough and we keep seeing proper talent make it to the Cup series.
Mark Martin is the Greatest NASCAR Driver of All Time! He has several wins across multiple series and seasons, always getting robbed of his rightful championship glory he truly deserved. Mark's hometown of Batesville, Arkansas even cheats him, why doesn't he have the key to city; Instead they give to some woman from Las Vegas, I think she's a Ballroom Dancer I think her names Amber, Amanda or something else with an A; I mean what's she ever done? Batesville needs correct this injustice by building statue of Mark Martin and placing it the center of town, so that everyone could bask in glory of his greatest.

I get why you chose Buschwhacking for an April Fools shitpost, especially given the timing, but I think you missed a golden opportunity to talk about all the benefits of the Charter System... Y'know, things like: * The added stability of guaranteed starting spots for organizations that qualified every one of their cars for years, sometimes decades, under time-trial qualifying * Insuring that owners with nine and ten figure fortunes have a steady stream of revenue and a golden parachute bundled into one package, so they don't have to risk any of those precious zeros * Keeping out random scrubs by imposing an insurmountable financial barrier to entry before they can even build a single car * The rapid influx of celebrity investors who look good and can help shore up sponsorships for struggling organizations * The propagation of revolutionary monetary engineering that in no way, shape or form resembles an enormous Ponzi Scheme that poses an existential risk to the sanction's very survival, possibly as soon as this December
I don't mind Buschwhackers in Xfinity and Trucks it makes everyone Run More Competitively and a Chance for Lower Series Drivers to Compete with and Potentially Beat the Best Drivers in Cup. Plus I would suggest letting Buschwhackers run 7 or 8 Races a Year for Trucks and Xfinity And I would let Buschwhackers Run For Points too

Kevin Harvick, he went crazy in 2006.

My favorite Bushwhacker was David Gilliland in 2006

Favorite Buschwacker will always be Landon Cassill though...which actually I am not joking about!

Some of your best work Lastcar!
Favorite Buschwacker has to be the most victorious Buschwacker, Kyle Busch!

I wish drivers would still race multiple series full time. Obviously I’m in the minority.
If I was a freshman, I'd want to race against seniors and proven winners. You may lose but sure as hell you learn. And who knows make relationships
When I was a freshman in crew, I wanted to beat other freshmen. Racing against seniors only showed me how frustrating it was to row in their wake.
