Right, his wc2012 R&J1 came in my recommendations 3months ago and it spiked my interest. I'm absorbed by his skating and i can't seem to get enough, there is something mesmerising, magical and outerwordly about his skating that pulls you in. I tried watching other skaters but it just doesn't give me the same thrill
me looking at yuzu’s graph during may/june 2020 expecting it to be larger bcs i can confirm i probably contributed to 90% of those streams this quarantine 💀💀💀 we love a yuzu-binge

I don't blame. Everyone gets as much attention from the audience as they deserve. Viewers are not judges, you cannot buy them. I see a mismatch when the most popular skaters didn't even get nominations, while the less popular did. Weird marketing.
yuzuru constantly manage to hit the top like noone. any, his skating is the sole reason why i got into figure skating. all of his performances hooked people to join. no wonder he is so famous, his performance is just soooooooo breathtaking
We only know 2 sports here, surfing and badminton yet I became a fan of figure skating because of Yuzuru. Only took me 1 video of him skating in olympic :s

Me too :). There are many reasons (as to me). Yuzuru is kind of celebrity in Japan and China for some time already, that is why so great stable interest in him. Nathan never tried to make such a fuss about himself and he started to skate as a senior only in autumn 2016 (after injury) so the begining period does not really count. Next, the figure skating is not so popular in USA now, it become visible mailny in Olymipc years, so think that now there is much more interest in him after he won gold.
