Very true! working from home vs going into the office saved me thousands on wardrobe expenses. Heels, jewelry, apparel, perfume, etc. Not to mention eating out with colleagues and Friday happy hours…
You don’t have to go out spending money with colleagues: You don’t have to spend loads of money on clothes just for work. Have a few that are smart but interchangeable. Have a mindset like mine and ask yourself is my money better in my bank or is it better in theirs? No competition.

The Range Rover story is so true. I owned a $50,000 truck and I felt bad spending my hard earned money on it so I traded it in and bought a $19,000 car instead. I don’t care what anyone thinks about my car, they’re not paying my bill, I am. It’s the mentality of not caring about what people think of you is important. I went to the mall once and asked the sunglasses salesman if my $12 sunglasses looked cheap, he said yes, but he said his expertise and experience selling and collecting sunglasses is the only reason why he can tell. He added, nobody’s going to notice my cheap sunglasses, so I put down the $400 Prada sunglasses and told myself it’s not worth it.

Now at the age of 42, I am thrilled to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time. This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier. It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity

I was homeless briefly at 19 but had a car paid for in high school and a positive net worth with college savings and a full scholarship all earned in high school. Graduated From college with honors and a positive net worth and a good engineering job I kept until retiring after 38 years. After age 31 I never paid a penny in consumer or mortgage interest, using cash reserves for everything purchased. I bought fixer upper homes and on the third house, I paid cash in an upper middle class neighborhood at Age 33. I had my first million net worth at age 40, bought beach rental properties and was a multi millionaire by 45. Retired at 59 with a net worth approaching $5 million. Saving and investing in appreciating assets allowed me to accumulate almost twice that of every penny ever netted in a paycheck. It CAN be done the hard way.
These are the people we need. I was also born into poverty and worked really hard. I don't buy stupid stuff but I definitely cannot be considered poor anymore. Thanks for working hard my friend. People don't understand education (trade, college, journeyman) IS the opportunity people in poverty keep complaining they don't have. I work in construction and so many foremen only have a high school degree but now they live the white picket fence because they worked hard. The first 100k is the most difficult one because it's looked at from a 1k perspective which means you need to 100x. That's waaay more difficult than 10x that 100k to 1M.
@@IAMBETTERTHANYYOU Part of what makes the first 100k tougher is you're new. I made rookie mistakes (dividend investing) the first year or two, and investing wasn't as routine. It took over 3 years to hit 100k, cheerfully accepting 10% returns. The 2nd 100k took a little over a year once I switched to growth stocks. Once you're getting good returns, you start throwing everything at it. Get a bonus? Invest it. Get a raise? Invest it. Tax refund? Invest it. Fiancee returns your ring? Invest it.
As a new investor it's always great to hear from a person who has gone through all the difficult times and come ahead of it. It's unnerving to see your portfolio go from green to red but as mentioned if you have invested in quality names just have to keep adding to them and stay the course.

I made two financial changes in my life as a direct result of this book. One thing I will share: I had an account where I owed $9,000. I was current on my payments but the interest rate was STOOOOOPID! I closed a CD, took a hit on the penalties, took some money out of my savings account, and paid the damn $9,000 off!! What a glorious feeling!!
Buy the book, y'all!!
Always get out of debt first!
He has me thinking on paying off my credit card earlier than I want
you might be able to deduct the CD penalty from your income tax.
So impressive!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Great move! The hit was worth it. Some common sense and basic arithmetic goes a long way towards becoming financially stable.

Get your facts right dude , We have plenty of Jewish friends in the Arab world and they are really good people , by the way Fatwa is something done by a qualified legal scholar , and in Islamic understanding it is obliged to admit you believe in Moses and the Torah so it is not about being a moderate Muslim or not , you probably know the one and the only regime who is sending threats about throwing Jews in the sea is the Iranian regime not the Arabs , yes we want Israel to give the Palestinians a state , which is what the international law is saying , and that's it .

1. Be wary of credit card.
2. Educate yourself on personal finance and investing.
3. Focus on one thing. Focus and grow in your career if you have one.
4. Be mindful that money is a tool. Meaningfulness comes from relationships. People who love you for who you are.
5. Succesful people take full responsibility of their lives. They are humble, willing to learn.
6. True success when 10 years later you truly becomes a better person, a higher functioning human being.
Very true! working from home vs going into the office saved me thousands on wardrobe expenses.

We were the poorest family I knew after my parents divorced and mom became terminally ill.
