How do you spell the ultramafic extrusive rock chomatyite/camatiite/kametiet? There are just too many options! I cannot find it. Please help.

You start off with the grid with 4 Composition categories and the two textures and then jump to the two categories of intrusive and extrusive and never get back to Phaneritic and Aphonretic. you present some good information, but this misdirection was a source of confusion.

My guess is phaneritic = intrusive and aphanitic = extrusive.

@@rumanya from what ive learned in my class, this is probably the case, as intrusive rocks have had time to grow their minerals' individual crystals, thus being larger and seen with the naked eye, and extrusive rocks being on the surface not having enough time, thus having minature crystals - aphanitic. i'm not sure if it applies to all types of rocks and if its a general conclusion but this is what i have been taught in my geology class and am just trying to apply that knowledge so i learn myself
