The F-14 is truly a remarkable airframe. Extremely capable at both bvr, and wvr engagements, all the while being carrier capable. Awesome video. Thanks.
Wow, that triple A had absolutely ZERO regard for their own pilot. They didn't care what they hit, they were just throwing LOTS of lead into the air trying to hit the Tomcat. Pretty sure there would be one pissed off debriefing after any of those fights.
@@LongShotChannel Seriously, Thank you. Absolutely love your perspective and winsome dialogue when speaking and teaching us "grunts" about the mystical ways of flying these beasts. Plus your honest take when you are downed ( see, I am learning these terms)!!
I served on a US Destroyer (USS Fife DD-991) back in the early 80s. One day in the Indian Ocean, we noticed a Tomcat flying really slowly off of the port side 200 ft from the ocean level. As everyone was watching, a second tomcat came up from the opposite side 400 ft and hit the sound barrier over our heads and zoomed up into the clouds. I treasure that memory.
Nice work LongShot!.. I mean a little sloppy in the fighting but that makes it fun!... I mean the overall presentation of the fighting will make you a UA-cam Ace! ;) ... If we meet in the sky, I hope it's as Pals... but if foes, may we never see it coming. 🐴
you might think this is theatrical situation but in the 80s it was a very real thing. we were part of the " Multinational Peace keeping force" F 14s flew several missions over Syra daily.
The person helping you with these should know that Mig-21 pilots learned not to play the vertical game against Phantoms.. It's even more of a no no against a tomcat lol. Entertaining vid!
In theory, at least, the Tomcat should have a significant advantage over the Fishbed in *transitioning* from the 1 circle to 2 circle, because wings-extended will give it better acceleration with G's on the aircraft, and then wings-swept would improve high speed performance.
Thank you. Those are bots... Every post I make I get a few minutes that I go through and report them to YT and deleting them... but... It's a never ending job
Thank you for another, as always, great video!! 🙂 As always also great editing! If I were Jester I would eject just to get away the F14´s almost constant alarm-sound going off all the time. 😅 Very nice flying LS! And very nice maneuvers to get kills. Can someone please explain, to me, why the F14 is sounding like an alarm-clock when rate-fighting? It has an alarm-signal for maybe 8 alarm-repetitions, get quiet for 1 second and then start this alarm-sequence again. Is it AOA-alarm? Altitude? I have no idea! 😅 Br
Hi LongShot, great video as always! Quick question: how do you get your recorded tracks to be consistent? I've been playing around with DCS tracks for a bit to try and make some videos and I find I can never get them to accurately reflect what actually happened even in single player?
I was wondering not this video particular but a lot of ur mission videos that have and object to complete not dogfights would u ever release ur mission like growling and other content creators do? Just wondering would love to fly some of the mission u do
One does not rip across a circle, one rips around a circle. One may choose to "cut" across a circle, typically to redefine a fight or to sell it for a shot. Learn what a guns defense maneuver is. Hint, it isn't doing a series of orthogonal rolls and jinks. If you have the altitude, it is a rapid roll inverted and a max G pull out of plane, then recover in a rate fight, or if your opponent didn't preserve turning room in the vertical, a radius fight going for an overshoot ...which in real life would be rarely successful. Your best bet when a bandit has your six is to guns D to the deck and transition to a rate fight. Then look for an overshoot, or better yet, get on your cornering speed in the transition and out rate or neutralize.

Since you were over at GS channel, now bring him here for more duo actions 😅😅😅
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Yes!!
all of these were really intense, but that second fight with the damaged wing was wild, some awesome flying from you both there!
I was waiting for the wing to snap off, but I guess Grumman builds 'em tough!
Thank you

Jester in the back: He‘s dead ahead man 😐. Has me dead 😭 6:56
Jester basically roasting Longshot, i was laughing my ass off 🤣

"our planes, their planes, they all burn the same" - AA gunner probably
those cinematics at the end never fail to amaze me, they are so uniqe and round up every video perfectly
That's very kind, thank you
The F-14 is simply the best
Impressive! Yet another great show LS. Loving the action.
Thank you

Love to see the Tomcat in action, thanks man!

LS those were definitely sink or swim fights. Way to correct and overcome a very good pilot.
That triple A was a great addition to the fight! Good idea
Awesome video, great flying!
F14, so hot right now.
Tomcat vs Fulcrum fights are always so edge of my seat. They’re always so close.

Your camera work has really gotten very good in the year or so I've been following you. Very exciting stuff!
Thank you very much
IRL, AAA almost never fires into an active dogfight for fear of a blue-on-blue
Right on LongShot don't take no flack

Great maneuvering long shot
Great use of the TomCat

I kept playing the song "Danger Zone" in my mind throughout the video.
Very entertaining!
Long live the big cat!
Another fun video!
Thank you!
Thank you

128 gigabyte of RAM
@@LongShotChannel I'm running with 32GB, might be time for an investment then!
@@LongShotChannel 128GB RAM is crazy wth
great fights!

Boys, the F-14...!
As always tom cat maverick wins 😂😂😂baised videos
Please do a strike mission in the tomcat.
interesting idea
I have seen Longshot and Growling Sidewinder do just about everything with a Tomcat except for using it as a Bombcat.
nice!
Are we going to get a mig-23? That’d be a cool fight
Can you and sidewinder do two cats vs two su27
