    Thanks for taking us along on your trip. My wife and I visited both GTNP and YNP every year for 30 years. Due to health reasons we haven’t been up for a couple of seasons. Hopefully we can make it back this Fall. Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us.

    I've just arrived back in the UK from a trip to GTNP and YNP (now nursing bad jetlag and missing the place so bad!). Wow so many bears to be seen and the Teton scenery with the snow was just incredible. You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area and to be able to produce such wonderful content. Thanks for sharing (btw I think I saw you riding a bike in a parking lot in Jackson but wasn't sure enough to say 'Hi', though going off of the hat I'm now pretty sure it was)

    Cool video Steve - living out the back of your car and photographing wildlife there sounds incredible! Doing that here in Scotland is good, but not quite the same! Those bears at the end were stunning too :)

    Another great video Steve. I always enjoy your stories and the photos that you capture. You inspire me to become a better photographer for sure! Looking forward to getting your book when it comes out. I too am an avid owl lover. And I also purchased a vehicle that I could sleep in the back of if need be. Great minds think alike.

    Great video as ever boy the wolves move fast loved the part where the bears were chasing the wolves from the carcass, considering its not peak season there looked like there was lots of people many thanks

    Stumbled across you doing a little YNP prep, Steve, but I think I'll stay a while! Heading to the region from KY next week--it's not the best timing, but it can't be helped. Before watching I'd considered a bean bag, but at this point I'm figuring it's a necessity. I found this series helpful and just wanted to say thanks for sharing; your attitude and enjoyment of photography is infectious!

    Steve .. I love your videos and work. Please don't get me wrong or take this the wrong way, but as a wildlife photographer myself, I don't think I could shoot wildlife with those crowds of hundreds of people. I personally, and I'm sure you do as well, prefer to find things on my own and enjoy the experience with nature by myself. I also know, that when I do, no one else is making the same photograph as I am. Maybe that's why I've never really pushed myself to head to the big parks like Yellowstone? Just my 2 cents man. Thanks for all you do.

    im impressed with what you were able to come up with considering how far away those wolves were, especially the one of the two wolves running on top of the ridge.

  • @jbenedict100
    @jbenedict100 5 років тому +1

    Being in a hot spot I guess you hardly ever have a moment to yourself with the wildlife. Photos can be misleading because you think you're the only one there but in reality there are a hundred people trying to get the same shot. I didn't really know this till I watched your videos. Nice job of keeping it real.

    That was awesome! It's amazing how easily and fast those wolves traverse that rugged terrain. Were those black birds crows? I like how chill you are about the crowds of nature lovers and photographers, best to just accept that some days we can't be alone in nature haha! By the way... I agree coffee is love :D

    • @billrogers4281
      @billrogers4281 5 років тому

      I'm sure the black birds are ravens.

  • @markattardo
    @markattardo 5 років тому

    Amazing adventure for sure! Good thing it was the off season and the crowds were smaller...😮
    Couldn't help but ponder if the bears were sizing up the herd (of people) across the river. I also wondered if wearing a furry animal hat complete with tail (1758) would be a wise decision if the wearer was not in a crowd....
    I don't see any problem with your cinematography and love the images!!

      These are wild grizzlies so approaching them could have undesirable consequences... And the Park Service doesn't allow people to get within 100 yards.
