Really a great synopsis of the current state of recruiting. What do you think will be the funding level for baseball at the D1 level now? With 34 full scholarships (POTENTIAL) available, I can't imagine more than a few select programs willing to fully fund them. Any advice on non-revenue sports as well...track, soccer?

What we're hearing is that only a couple power conferences will go to 22-24 scholarships immediately. Everyone else will stay around the same. Rumors about the only way to fully fund 34 scholarships is to cut some of the non-revenue sports.

Do you think a kid that starts and excels at a top Socal high school needs to have recruiting help and/or do travel tourneys? Half the current senior class is power D1 commits and a bunch of recent kids drafted from this school.

Everyone needs help. Even the best players in the country can make the wrong decision in picking a school and then they're behind an All-American who is going to start every time. That decision alone is worth having help. Put on top of that all the changes that have happened in the last calendar year and the difference in the process for a current sophomore vs. a senior is light years different.

Baseball is a mess right now. Glad I'm a football guy. Lol. I know we are facing changes as well but geez.
