Got this for my wife for Christmas for a 17' ES 350. She opened it, saw the jumble of wires, and her eyes got huge. I said relax, not my first remote start install and everything is on UA-cam these days. Great job, I'll be doing this tomorrow and diving in knowing more or less what I'm in for. I have a 2014 IS 350. I heard you said you did it it on a 2014. How much difference is there?
if i remember correctly the only difference was the 2014 was tighter to work with meaning less space for your hands to get behind the column
Installed on my 2017IS200t and works great, but my TPMC has a failure? Does not read the tire pressure?
Awesome video I used to own a 2014 IS250 but now I have a 2019 ES350. My 2019 ES350 came with the remote start and mine does the same thing when you open the door the car shuts off. Anyway you got my support I clicked on the red sub button.
Great install and mod however I think it kind of defeats the purpose if the car stops once you open the door. I can only see this being useful when its either hot or cold outside and you want to defrost or cool the car. Have you figured out how to bypass the car turning off when opening the door? Could it possibly have to do with the extra "kill switch" wires that you ended up not connecting?
Yea it is frustrating. I did some research and havent been able to find any solution either
@@Miko3IS Hows it holding up? I saw on youtube that theres a version for sale where it has a "take over" and has the drive off feature.
So what happens when you open the door btw, does everthing shut off completely and you have to press the brake and push to start?

Hopefully it is similar for my wife's 2013 Honda CRV, it seems to be but I'm about to go try it now. I wish the manufacturer would have videos as well as the instructions online, would be a big help
How'd it go? My 2015 kia - debating on getting this kit for it.
It wasn't too bad, the instructions that come with it I think aren't all that great but I basically just T'ed in the connections and hooked up the ground and then it was just trying to find where to mount things and tucking the wires. Overall it was pretty easy, I did not install the hood sensor or the lights since the vehicle I installed it on has auto lights anyway and I don't care if it can start with the hood open.
@@BeaverDunker hmm interesting.. I've installed a car radio before but that's all I've done.. debating this bc the places I've looked into going to to get a starter installed want $400. Hmm
@@brianchorsaway2778 I'd just order it and give it a shot. They claim to have customer service that you can call for any technical questions. You could give it a shot and if you can't get it you aren't cutting any wires or anything so just plug back in the 2 plugs and then return it. Might as well give it a shot to save $200

I did it on a 2014 IS250, it should be the same install but id just check out the website to make sure
