Hello MountainEagle, The engine in this video is completely bone stock right out of the box. In a later video with the governor removed it reached 53mph. We only had one attempt at that due to the welds on the exhaust flange broke. One thing you need to take into consideration is the amount of time it takes to reach said speed The stock 224 can reach the 30+mph very quickly. I have a modified 79cc that does about the same but it takes a little long to get there. Thanks for commenting and be safe out there on that minibike. Thanks for watching!!
@DIYWilly hey not sure if you had this issue but I got the cover and there's no bolts for it. Would you happen to know the size bolts you used on yours? Thanks! Update I found out what it uses.. 5/16-24NF threads. So anyone looking to get one now you know!
Thanks man! It is a smooth ride. I wish I had places to ride like what you have. I see other people are getting faster speeds from the 224 on various bikes. Must be the difference in gearing.
I am surprised how much power it has. I've never had a fresh large cc engine like this. The 79cc of course didn't pull like this one. I have the other 212 I would like to compare it with.
@@BROKEN.WRENCH.GARAGE yes exactly I want to put my to bikes together in a race and maybe swap the stock 212 in place of the 224 and see the difference.
The 224 was on sale this weekend $30off. I came so close to buying another but don’t have anything to put it in. Just want another. I still have a 420 and 212 both still in the box waiting for projects. I’m happy with this one. I saw other channels getting 40-50mph with it. So now I have to try also. I need to buy helmets now though the bikes are getting too fast.
Nice little bike, looks mean right now I wouldn't go too crazy as far as mods go. My idea of having 2 minibikes is having a stock one and a modified one, just to have something to compare.
@@DIYWilly I have a set of x18 pocket bike rims laying around I might use as well the 10 inch splits would be easier but the pocket bike rims are pretty sweet
this is litt my boy cruizin the hood hey i noticed my ducar 212 didnt come with a spacer on the shaft like my 80cc 3.5 had on her do i need one or is it not meant for the 212cc shaft the one on the 80 is like brass or something its a lil nicked up to but still ran good
@@DIYWilly its for the 212 im asking about and thats 3/4ths but it was brand new out the box the 80cc i bought second hand and it had the spacer which is 5/8
Weird... my mega moto 80 (99cc) with the governor ziptied goes 34mph. Thought this would go much faster.

@@DIYWilly that makes sense :-). Excellent mini bike videos!
@MountainEagle77 Thanks again for watching!!!
You are a god for saying the bolt size in your video, been looking all over the internet
What size was that? I’m always here in the comment section of any of my video to answer those types of questions. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video because of it I know the clutch cover actually fits which is info I couldn't find anywhere!
Hello Brian, I’m glad the video helped you! Thanks for watching!!

@@itsMrBRoc I was going to tell the same size. Glad you found it.
Looks like a pretty smooth ride Willy!

The centrifugal clutch makes more noise than I used too. i have a new clutch to install and see if its quieter.

Yes I purchased the Max Torque 12t. Ill install it next week.
@@DIYWilly ok i have the 13 max torque now skipped over the 12 lol but wen i put the 60tooth rear Sprock on im goona try a max torque 12 or 10
What rear sprocket do you have now?
I want to go with larger rims on my rascal I bent a 6 inch rim last year from a pot hole at about 30 on the mm80
I really like the 10” wheels on the other mm80
@@DIYWilly I have a set of x18 pocket bike rims laying around I might use as well the 10 inch splits would be easier but the pocket bike rims are pretty sweet
The split rims are easier to work with
@@DIYWilly I'll probably use the x18 on my taco
I didn’t know what an X18 was so google is my friend. That’s a cool bike gy6 type 50cc? Nice 12” wheels for a minibike for sure.
Nice Video Willy!
Thanks for watching. There is more to come on the build of the 224 Mega Moto.

Not sure what spacer your referring too. I didn't use a spacer on this one.
@@DIYWilly its like a brass bushing or spacer between the clutch and the shaft on my 80cc idk
