I love how entertained Kim sounds during Harry's interactions with the smoker on the balcony. He sees that Harry is sort of attracted to the smoker and doesn't even understand it himself. I also thought it was funny lol
"I'm gonna check the body!" he says. "Yep, it's a body!" he says and promptly vanishes on another sidequest. But let's be real, that *is* what I'm here to see.
I'm gonna be honest with yall, I absolutely adore Cuno, it's my favorite character in this game. All interactions with him are just so entertaining. And the voice acting makes the writing even better
You seem to have forgotten that clothing items give you bonuses for certain skills. Even a +1 can alter your chances of success dramatically, it’s a 2D6 dice roll after all. Also, drugs help massively with skill checks. Do more drugs. Do you want to live forever?
EPIS is this universes version of EU. The sunday friend is a proper eurocrat, loves to talk but doesn't really say anything. 2% inflation is the official goal of ECB as it's not supposed to have any play in the economic policies in the EU. The candidate member thing refers to Turkey, who's officially been in membership negotiations since 2005 but isn't ever going to be accepted into EU. 1:23:29 He doesn't speak the language but he has picked up on some individual words and understands what you're talking about based on that (or at least thinks he does). He's hoping that you'd also pick up on what he's saying the same way, but you don't understand a single word.
Some more: 1:36:29 The dices are another way to unlock white checks. Each one unlocks specific ones in the game. Also I think you should still be able to buy more of them. 53:48 It can take several weeks to start feeling normal again after quitting drinking. Some of the brain damage might even be irreversible. But a hangover like that requires months of nonstop drinking.
Well... you got me. I totally forgot about the ammonia thing. I think I learned something from the environment that made it easier to pass the smell check at the body, I really don't think I had to buy anything. Using the smell of ammonia to block out the smell of decay sounds like something that couldn't possibly work. 😂 I wonder if that actually is or was police practice somewhere in the world?
Ah, some curious choices this episode that may or may not have unexpected long range consequences! I’m of course not going to specify anything, just going to make you extra anxious about something you may or may not have chosen >:)
Now you have seen why the game tries to steer the player to investigate the body early. Not only is it the most logical way to start (and the very reason for the RCM being in Martinaise at all), but the first encounter with the corpse is pretty much guaranteed to end in failure, leading to the mention of ammonia (game mechanic hint), the gardener (character hint), and Frittte (location and game mechanic hints). And let's not forget the extraordinary Cuno, who is later mentioned by many other characters. You denied yourself a decent amount of early game guidance by trying to be "funny" and avoid the canonical path that was laid out to help you get started.
If the game designers absolutely wanted you to do things in a specific order, they would make it impossible to explore before checking the body. They don't, meaning you're free to explore in any order you wish, and the dialogue reflects that. I'm actually very satisfied I did things in this order because it allowed me to familiarize myself with the world and characters through side content before really getting into the thick of the investigation, without which I would have been totally lost.
@@LukaelPlays Like I wrote, the game tries to steer the players, not force them. You chose not to take the hint, which is your prerogative, but I think you did yourself a disservice. Nothing more, nothing less. By the way, I am certain that the developers want the player to feel lost and overwhelmed when starting out the investigation. You noticed small hints of that yourself. Kim mentions Harry's hangover, so visiting the crime scene is pretty much the first activity envisioned for the player. In many games, deviating from the obvious path early on is not without consequences.
The real Luk would NEVER!

I can’t believe it’s happening (edit: I don’t know what I was expecting.)
Holy shit! He is finally-
*Endurance check: Failed*
...Nevermind, back to the usual program.
"This episode I'll *finally* investigate the body"
*wanders up to the body, vomits, and leaves again*
😆
Well played!
Mission accomplished!

To this day it sometimes randomly pops into my head, "Cuno doesn't fcn caaare!"
he's the best
I should have known that the episode where you investigate the body would not be the one where you REALLY investigate the body haha
I tried 😭 was fully intending to
Just reminding that you can save some skillpoints for later when you'll want to upgrade a skill and retry a check (like checking the body)
I've started doing that!

I haven't forgotten 😌

Holy shit he’s actually done it
episode smells like the smoker on the balcony.. mm.. good

Investigate? You just looked at it and threw up
Mission accomplished

😨😨😰
Good God willing, peace at last!
Oh my god, it's happening!
Read the title and thought NO WAY
Finally 😂
Is it really true that you can't even hug Aunt Billie if you're not a communist?
