Lately I developed a comfortable strategy for the Harrier Gr3 in Sim. Takeoff at a far back airfield and camp your own airfield. Aam the airfield strafers. Phantoms are so therapudic to kill.
Good plan, things might be changing soon :)
I was trying to play the F-4E yesterday but my frame drops were so bad I had to give up, hope this is fixed soon it’s really hurting my sim experience.
I've been told that the US servers are a bit dodgy

we should have more controls for sim planes, kind of like fc3 in dcs. The harrier is missing many cool functions,

See the reason I play the P-40E in sim is because i’m poor and 1500 sl is alot more affordable than flying my jaguar gr.1 and lossing like 30k+ sl every time I’m shot down

Gaijin designated the Harriers as "Strike" aircraft and not fighters. Which is probably why it is not built for dog-fighting. Too many objectives? How about the Objectives are opportunities to win. Ignore the objectives, and lose.
If anything, we need more objectives. More ground targets like ammo storages, buildings, trains, and more vehicles.
@@HandlesSuck123 I agree in principal. However, it means nothing if the people either don't go after them or just ignore them and continue to concentrate on the K/D ratio instead of winning the game and earning 120% bonus lions and RP.
@@r.c.a.f_lynx9992 Gaijin would have to give worthwhile rewards for destroying each unit. Unfortunately, given their track record, I doubt they would balance out the rewards properly.
oh my god this patch has really seriuos fps drop issue. I saw your frames and i have same problem, it oscilate all time
same here aswel, really weird, it just stops for 3 seconds, hopefully they fix it
You always should give feedback about that on the forums where devs can see it.
I also have the same problem, and its not my PC (i7 5820k @ 4.2 Ghz, 6 Cores, 32 GB DDR4 Quad Channel, 1660 Super).
Since New Power the game doesnt run as smoothly anymore, AI units and some of the effects like flying behind a smoking plane are causing FPS drops.

SRAAM is 99G
Gr3 harrier have Aim9G not SRAAM it only had SRAAM (it should) on the first 2 weeks after Harrier release, but people cried so much that they were replaced by Aim9G - 16G. Harrier GR1 Premium does have SRAAM x4.

the SRAAM on the gr1 sucks, no rwr so you get killed by an aim-7 before even getting within range of the enemy team
You’re incredibly good in sim. I got reallly good at air RB but it is drying up. I have head tracking, iPhone VR, and a secondary stick I could use for head look. I think it’s time i put in the work and get good at sim

As long as you have buttons set for "toggle ballistic computer" and "switch site mode in cockpit" it should work.

i thought the Harriers accelerated stupidly quick? doesn't seem like the thing wants to accelerate at all even at 100% throttle
At high subsonic speed it can't accelerate at all, it's due to the massive intake and transonic drag. When you're in the mach 0.8-0.9 region you might as well use ~50-75% throttle and only go to 100 when climbing
