Thanks
I tried reporting form 990N for a church that registered in 2019 but has zero activity till now. However, the EIN does not exist in IRS data base.
How do I go about this ?
If the EIN does not exist in the database, then the church personnel never applied for official 501(c)(3) status.
@@susanwoodsnonprofitsolutio7216 thank you. I thought so. I will go ahead and apply for the church
@@susanwoodsnonprofitsolutio7216 Since the church was formed in 2019 and 501c never applied for, am I still able to apply 501c for the church and what is the estimated cost I should be looking at?
Thank you
You can apply for 501(c)(3) status at anytime. It does not matter when the church was formed. The IRS charges $600 to process a standard Form 1023 application. You will also need to file the Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of State Office. Fees for that service vary by state.
@susanwoodsnonprofitsolutio7216 thanks so much for your response
