  • Here is a gentleman with a massive rotator cuff tear. He has all of the classic signs which are:
✅Severe weakness with flexion, abduction, internal rotation and external rotation
✅Less pain than typical smaller rotator cuff tears
✅Positive bear hug and belly press tests
✅Positive drop arm test and empty can test
👉This injury was caused by a fall on the ice and with a shoulder dislocation.
👉Our goals at this stage are to prevent a frozen shoulder and prepare for a reverse total shoulder. Activate the deltoids, lats, scapular stabilizers. Strengthen the forearm, wrist and fingers.

Glad to see these shoulder problems is being taken so seriously . I had two rotatorcuff tears+ Labrumtears, both frontal and backside, either one huge tear or two in the Labrum- they never actually checked. I was told that it would heal in 1-2 months.
In Norway this is nothing to worry about, they do not have the knowledge. I can confirm that this is very painful, and yes I got a terrible frozen shoulder lasting in 3 years and one useless arm/ shoulder.
