I'll try to clear up some things for you without spoiling 😭 1. Mikasa's last name is also Ackerman, yes however since Levi was all alone in his childhood, he didn't know his last name, he never learned and this is suppose to be a moment for the watchers to be surprised that Levi has the same last name as Mikasa, therefore they're related which the watchers, levi, and mikasa never knew but us watchers just found out about it when Kenny said his last name bit Levi and Mikada doesnt know. I hope this makes sense. 2. When Historia revealed her last name back in season 2, she said her name was "Historia Riess" and within the walls, Riess was a noble, rich family that were regional lords, but in this episode, the dude revealed that the Riess family is actually the royal family not just some noble family and that makes Historia a royal family member next in like for throne and everybody is surprised about that because all this time, it was to be believed that Riess was just a noble family and if they are the royal family then who the hell is the king right now? That's why they are all confused about the royal family thingy. 3. Eren and Historia were taken to where Rod Riess is who's last name is also Riess and so is Historia's so you can guess who he is, and when they showed the close up of Eren's eyes in the last scene was just a transition they did showing that Eren is somewhat conscious and is able to see what is happening in front of him. 4. This one isnt as important but when the dude was giving examples about the teacher, the couple and the wh*re, the couple was actually Armin's parents trying to escape the walls through an hot air balloon but they were caught by the Military Police and were executed for not obeying the laws, pretty sure it's never gone be brought up in the future again, nor does it have any relevance to the story right now but I thought it was a detail you should know. The other 2 examples about the teacher and the wh*re are kinda important and potential spoilers which I'm not gonna explain to you about since you will find out about them in the future episodes. I hope this helped you understand the episode a bit better. As always love your reactions ❤ can't wait for more 💚💙

Man I love this season so much. It has a lot of amazing moments like this Levi scene. The first part of this season is great but part 2 is what really brings the show to a brand new level. Can't wait for you to get there and see what all the hype is about.
You are an interesting fellow. The questions you ask about AOT show how engaged you are in the story, and, I assure you that many of them will be answered.
22:20 the couple in the hot air balloon were Armin's parents as mentioned before in a flashback, Armin said his parents were going to leave the walls but ended in tragedy unfortunately which was why Armin had always lived with his grandfather in the beginning of the show, that was basically his only family left.
It's just beautiful seeing Levi in all his animated glory. Also, Historia's surname is Reiss. That's why it's familiar. Yes, Mikasa's surname is also Ackermann. The name of the dude in the chair is King Fritz, Fritz being a surname. So yeah, you can surmise that Fritz is not really royalty, and the Reiss family are the actual royals.
"The more I watch the less I'm learning [...] it raises more questions" *DEAD* welcome to attack on titan 😂😂 Don't worry these questions will be answered soon
Ackerman is Mikasa's surname. It's not a spoiler because it was mentioned in s1 training episodes. And now we know Levi is an Ackerman as well. As for who is working with who, the royal family wants to preserve the peace in the walls and they don't like the scouts who try to dig deep in search of information. Military police work for the royal family (the king) and do all his dirty work. We knew this from s1 training episodes that military police serve the king. Kenny is working with the royal family and military police but he keeps talking about his own dream so remember that. Reiss name feels familiar because it's historia's surname as mentioned in s2. So when sannes said "Reiss is the true royal family" it was to tell us that historia is heir to the throne which was later confirmed. As far as who is the good guy and who is the bad guy, you'll be asking that question all the way through the story. AoT's depiction of grey morality is the best I've seen. And yeah, along with s1-s2's mystery and action, s3 onwards you'd also get a lot of politics and human interaction.
19:39 you can watch what Hange is refering to in ep10 of season 2. Berthold ask Ymir: "When you turned back into a human, do you remenber the person you ate?". also remenber when Ymir ate a friend of Reiner that pushed him away saving him? i think this scene repeated 3 times in season 2.
Before this episode: The king is King Fritz Rod Reiss is a lord Historia is his illegitimate daughter Levi had no surname NOW: Lord Reiss is the true king Hitoria is the royal heir Levi’s surname is Ackerman, so is Mikasa’s
@@carlosdanger8043 Nicholas is capping he alr watched anime's before. This guy is used to series and movies and not animated cartoons and anime, so maybe he doesn't have that appreciation yet for good animation. Well tbh now his standard is pretty high so if he watches a random anime he might notice and appreciate how good aot is
OK, just to clear some things up for you. One, Ackerman is both Levi's and Mikasa's last name. And Two, when they say Reiss is the true royal family, they're saying the "king" and his family are fakes, as in the king isn't at all related to the Reiss family. Also it was Reiss who took eren and historia, he wasn't kidnapped with them.
God damn I love this series so much and your reactions just make it so much better 😂💯 Thankyou so much for taking us on this journey with you theres no escape from the anime world now 😂😂 Your so close to 200K man you definitely deserve it 👏💯👑

I really hope you can appreciate the animation on this episode, you can be sure it took months to animate juste a few seconds of the beginning of this episode. This is an amazing work by some of the best people in the industry.
Hey Luke! The chase scene between Levi and Kenny squad is my favorite action sequence in this anime so far. I saw how u were trying to keep up with the story in this episode. There is so much going on that I feel like I can't say anything without spoilers. However, this is the first episode where we learn Levi's last name is Ackerman. Not a spoiler:think back, who else do we know in this series has the last name of Ackerman?
YES Mikasa and Levi do have the same Surname. And it is no coincidence! This Episode was fast and full of Information :D YES AOT is starting to get very complicated .
All your questions will be answered my friend we've all been there we've all asked those questions and all of our questions were answered, you just keep enjoying this amazing show keep up these amazing theories you have even if you think they aren't true it's just interesting to hear them to be honest. I really love your reactions keep doing that!!!!!
Reiss = royal family Historia Reiss, therefore historia is true royalty Levi never knew his surname. Knowing Ackerman is his surname means he is related to mikasa in some way. So yes, those are big reveals (not that we at this stage really know why the royal family is important)
22:19 nice catch. All intertwined. You'll meet the first and third victims later. Not very spoilery as their identity are glossed over: The balloon couple are hinted to be Armin's parents.
You're correct that there's a fair amount you missed. I'd recommend taking notes either during or after episodes, something a lot of other reactors tend to do. It helps keep you from forgetting important info, which is a big deal for AOT since the show will only keep building on itself. Being able to revisit vital into will help prevent misunderstandings down the line 👍
Just recently started watching you and loving the videos! Been trying to catch up, don't know if someone else has recommended it yet but when you asked for a gritty Deadpool style comedy anime that show exists and it is "One Punch Man". Also, would recommend watching the Scroll "$UICIDEBOY$ ft. Attack on Titan" AMV for the Levi scene from this episode. Keep putting out awesome videos and I'll be here watching!
Mikasa's surname is Ackerman too (was already mentioned few times in the past episodes, so not a spoiler). Though not very close, but both of them technically are families. It's kinda important, and it'll be explained later.
In season 2 they revealed that Historia is the bastard child of Lord Reiss. This episode was suppose to be like "Surprise! She's a princess!" since now we know that Reiss is the real royal family. Also, yes, Mikasa's last name is also Ackermann and this was suppose to also be a reveal that Mikasa and Levi are somehow related. All your other questions are questions that will be answered later in the show.
ODM gerar is given to all soldiers... Anti-personel ODM was designed for "police corpse" that were to deal with soldiers, who werte used to use ODM gear.
•Teacher - Erwin's dad • Balloon - Armin's parents • Yumir-titan eat people, who have Titan power and reborn to human, who have Titan power, so because They wanna eat Eren
Season 3 part 1 is probably my favorite part of the whole series. Titans? What titans - we are dealing with humans, politics and more, more mysteries to solve!
The Military Police have never really trusted the scouts ability to thumb their nose at the law, by simple virtue of being too badass to arrest, so it makes complete sense to make weapons capable of taking them down. However, that doesn't mean that Lord Reis and the Church of the Walls don't have more sinister plans for the technology. They are really going out of their way to play the traditional anime villain role of *"The Evil Council of Vagueness"*, in this episode. We are given no idea what they are trying to accomplish, but they sure don't mind hurting sympathetic characters to reach those goals. The syringe tranquilizer darts are a strange piece of technology to see in The Walls. Lord Reis' name sounds familiar because it was mentioned that he is Historia Reis' father. Also in the previous episode it was revealed (to the audience but not the protagonists) that he was pulling the strings behind the Military Police attacking the Scouts. Some of the members of the evil council questioned why they were taking orders from some backcountry baron out in the sticks. 14:30 Notice that Mikasa Akerman wants to pursue Historia and Erin, but Levi Ackerman orders her to retreat. Me don't find out Levi is an Akerman until later in the episode, so it is easy to miss. Remember that when trying to figure out things like "Who are the Akermans? Why are they so badass? What is their deal?" 15:00 Armin struggles with the realization of what it means to be a real soldier in a civil war, not just a scout who fights monsters. Jean sees the answer in black and white, but Levi lives in a world of grays. 18:00 Reeves is actually the jerk idiot merchant from episode 1. Even he gets a turn at some character development and depth. If his business goes under, the Trost economy collapses and it's people starve, so of course his mind was on that responsibility during the panic at Shiganshina. Levi has also been blackmailed into working for shady lords in the capital, so of course he sympathizes with Reeves. 18:30 Levi won't promise to save you because he's lost too many people he promised to protect, but he will promise to try, and that's a huge value all by itself. 23:00 The Interior First Squad interrogator claims to have killed Erin and Armin's schoolteacher, Armin's parents, and Historia's mother, all to protect peace and public order, in service to his king (revealed later in the episode to be Lord Rod Reis). 24:00 Classic interrogation technique: make one prisoner think another has given up information you can use to check their lies. Betrayal can break a person who can endure months of physical torture, and undermine the group loyalty that might make him give false answers. Basically, you want to construct a game in the mind of the subject where they "win" by giving you what you want. 26:00 "Reis is the true royal family." Lord Rod Reis is the King. Historia Reis is a secret, illegitimate princess. If he wanted her to come home to visit, he probably should have skipped past the "murdering her friends and kidnapping her" and skipped to the "I'm sorry." The old man on the throne is his regent. 28:00 He would have probably have still needed to kidnap Erin, for whatever his evil plot is, but at least he could have gotten to her without putting his daughter in the line of fire, while his secret police were murdering people with shotguns. Hange seems to think the plan involves someone eating Erin. Why King Rod Reis would want someone to eat Erin is not explicitly explained, however Hange based this theory on the conversation that Erin overheard between Ymir, Bertoldt and Reiner, so something in there about people getting eaten must be related.
Everything that Ymir said or the conversations between her and Reiner/Bertholdt or with Historia last season have become hints everywhere in this season 😅 If you rewatch it again you’ll probably catch one or thing in this episode
Metaphorically, this show is like a dance. Think of the waltz. With 12 steps, you form the corners of a square. But on a large dance floor, you might make many squares as you make your way all the way around to eventually form a large circle. But the dancer is too close to the movements to really see and understand that this is what's happening. But if there's a video camera above the dance floor and you watch the tape back in time lapse mode, the patterns you were making might become more apparent. It's about perspective, as always with this show. As you watch through the first time, you are too close, purposely placed in that position by the author, to know what's really happening. You see the patterns as they're being drawn and that's why you are confused. It's intentional and masterful. Try to just watch and enjoy as much as you able and know that we all understand. We all rode the confusion train when we watched this show. The frustration comes from trying to analyze the story as you're looking at only a piece of it.

"The more I watch the less I'm learning [...] it raises more questions" *DEAD* welcome to attack on titan 😂😂
Don't worry these questions will be answered soon
KENNY!
Fun fact: canonically the couple in the balloon were Armin's parents. It'll never get brought up but the author confirmed it.
An animation in the beginning was insane, and yes i like Kenny so much as a character for his charisma.
Also you will get all the answers very soon.
26:37 I remember I went bonkers the first time when he said Levi was an Ackermann like Mikasa.
Seeing you react to Anime makes me very happy. You seem like someone charming and worth seeing.
Before this episode:
The king is King Fritz
Rod Reiss is a lord
Historia is his illegitimate daughter
Levi had no surname
NOW:
Lord Reiss is the true king
Hitoria is the royal heir
Levi’s surname is Ackerman, so is Mikasa’s
I remember when you saying that the great writing and story-telling is when you get tons of questions instead of answer. And here you have it.
Lord Reiss is Historia's father. The noble who had her outside of his marriage.
Damn I didn't remember this episode was SOOO good. Nice to watch it again, thanks
Damn he just casually watches Levi doing his most badass thing with the most impressive animation. And then laughs at an ok joke.
bro its his first anime
@@sharanoth It was Nicholas lights first time. He can appreciate good animation. I like this guy too. Just saying. It's constructive criticism.
@@carlosdanger8043 Nicholas is capping he alr watched anime's before. This guy is used to series and movies and not animated cartoons and anime, so maybe he doesn't have that appreciation yet for good animation. Well tbh now his standard is pretty high so if he watches a random anime he might notice and appreciate how good aot is
It's a Levi's scene
Fans: 😍😋🤩
Animators: 😭😨😩
I loved how even the random bartender was fangirling over levi XD
11:19 It wasnt the last person, but you nailed it:D
OK, just to clear some things up for you. One, Ackerman is both Levi's and Mikasa's last name. And Two, when they say Reiss is the true royal family, they're saying the "king" and his family are fakes, as in the king isn't at all related to the Reiss family. Also it was Reiss who took eren and historia, he wasn't kidnapped with them.
God damn I love this series so much and your reactions just make it so much better 😂💯 Thankyou so much for taking us on this journey with you theres no escape from the anime world now 😂😂 Your so close to 200K man you definitely deserve it 👏💯👑
❤️❤️❤️
It's crazy how good your theories were here ^^
since the show already revealed it, mikasa and levi are relatives, levi doesnt know hes an ackermann due to his up bringing
You’ve heard the last name before because Mikasa is also an Ackerman 😁
OMG. The previous missions of the first interior squadron... I totally missed that when I firts watched it!!!!
Attack on Forshadowing at its best!!!
This man isn't ready 💀💀
Man, there are many episodes I cant wait to see your reaction and getting mind-blown in super-nova explosion 🤣🤣🤣
The final season later sure gonna make people lose their hair😂
Just remember that in season 3 episode 12 has post credits scene during the ending. Don't miss
I really hope you can appreciate the animation on this episode, you can be sure it took months to animate juste a few seconds of the beginning of this episode. This is an amazing work by some of the best people in the industry.
"I don't know who the good guys and who the bad guys are anymore"
... yeah, you best get used to that
Levi's scene was so epic!!! also you have to react to the season 2 opening live show! you're gonna love it😉
2:57 - 3:32 is the best action scene drawn anime of all time for me! 😍
Bro was fully shook at the chase scene 😭
All your questions will be answered my friend we've all been there we've all asked those questions and all of our questions were answered, you just keep enjoying this amazing show keep up these amazing theories you have even if you think they aren't true it's just interesting to hear them to be honest. I really love your reactions keep doing that!!!!!
Ooooh Levi's so amazing ♥ - ♥
Reiss = royal family
Historia Reiss, therefore historia is true royalty
Levi never knew his surname.
22:10
They were talking about erwins father
Armins parents
Then historias mom 😢😭
Those killers 😭
yes ackerman was always the last name of levi and yes it is mikasa ackerman too love your videos i can't wait to see the rest of your reactions
My brotha every episode has had foreshadowing lol.
This one's more confined to this season. Whole the rest is way bigger.
You're correct that there's a fair amount you missed. I'd recommend taking notes either during or after episodes, something a lot of other reactors tend to do. It helps keep you from forgetting important info, which is a big deal for AOT since the show will only keep building on itself. Being able to revisit vital into will help prevent misunderstandings down the line 👍
so close to 200k ! LETS GOOOO
9:05 😆
9:17 😟
Oh yes, this season is loaded to the nines with questions and revelations! Strap in, brother, you're in for a ride ^_^
Mikasa's surname is Ackerman too (was already mentioned few times in the past episodes, so not a spoiler). Though not very close, but both of them technically are families. It's kinda important, and it'll be explained later.
This scene is one to look up to for animators.
16:44 Jean's eyes look so weird with the blanket behind and the opacity
ODM gerar is given to all soldiers... Anti-personel ODM was designed for "police corpse" that were to deal with soldiers, who werte used to use ODM gear.
I like the new zoom feature on the yt app
I can zoom in on the aot part so I’m watching full screen
•Teacher - Erwin's dad
• Balloon - Armin's parents
• Yumir-titan eat people, who have Titan power and reborn to human, who have Titan power, so because They wanna eat Eren
Fun fact:
Kenny and Hange's voice actors got married the year before last. I'm glad because I love them bot😊
Season 3 part 1 is probably my favorite part of the whole series. Titans? What titans - we are dealing with humans, politics and more, more mysteries to solve!
Jean is really one of the most intersting character, I understand your enjoyment !
Love how Armins only kills are human😭😭
Get READY, THE GAME IS ABOUT TO START !!!
The couple who were trying to escape are Armin's parents, he told about this to Eren.
one of the best thing in aot is no fillers episodes at all
the king is called king fritz but as this episode said the true royal family is actually reiss
PEAK animation right there
Yoo love the new haircut!
What is their deal?"
15:00 Armin struggles with the realization of what it means to be a real soldier in a civil war, not just a scout who fights monsters.
There's no way you weren't hyped watching levi escape, that was my fav scene in season 3 part1
You just got an entire bag of puzzle pieces, but only like half the total set, and no picture of what it is supposed to look like at the end.
Everything that Ymir said or the conversations between her and Reiner/Bertholdt or with Historia last season have become hints everywhere in this season 😅
If you rewatch it again you’ll probably catch one or thing in this episode
Eren's eyes change colors sometimes, to greenish to Reis-ish (and this is not a spoiler, that last scene was there just to show this)
Levi doesn't know his own last name btw
