I love the Bertholdt death scene because juste before he turned into the Colossal Titan, he says that he feel like it was no one fault and the no matter the outcome, he could accept it. Yet, when facing imminent deat, no, he couldn't accept death. Cause it's easy to justify stuff when it's far away or happening to someone else but up close, not so much.
The fact that this ep got 'almost' no music background until the very end of it just show how heartbreaking is this and how nothing else matters except the pain of living this.
@Mīćhæł Pīņəß That doesn't even count as a background music but a background sound effect to finish the first part of the episode but anyway i edited so you can have a nice day.🙃
Also with Bertholdt: you can see the hope light up in his eyes when he sees Eren and company. He was disoriented, having just woken up from being knocked out-in that moment, like Reiner, I fully believe he saw Eren, Mikasa, Jean, and Connie as his true comrades. He wanted THEM to save him, calling out to them first. Then he remembers that he is their enemy and that they put him in this situation because they need him to die so they can survive. And THEN he calls for Annie and Reiner because he remembers they are the only ones who would save him. It really is heartbreaking.
This is exactly what I also get from berth scene. Recalling season 2 when berth told them he sees them as comrade and then asking them to find him breaks me.
26:40 - That’s exactly how Marco felt, being devoured by a Titan and deliberately not being helped by people he thought were his friends. There was a reason for every callback, Marco’s especially. “We…haven’t even had a chance…to talk this out..!” - Marco’s last words. It really defines such a huge part of attack on Titan. If they had just been able to talk at any point, the “bad guys” and “the good guys” , could they have come to an understanding? Like Jean..all he wants to do is /understand/ his enemies, just like Armin. They’re undeniably the enemies, and yet they don’t even get to know why. Understanding wouldn’t automatically make them forgive them for all they’ve done…But at least there’d be closure. At least there’d be the smallest chance of reaching out if only they knew why they were doing what they’re doing. It really hits hard when you remember Armin was the one who continued to try and reach out to Berthold when everybody else thought it was a lost cause. Yet in the end, he was the one who ended up killing him. But I also absolutely adore this episode for the portrayal of how much Armin really means to Mikasa and Eren, and always have. Armin is just as important to her, and seeing a character usually so stoic in complete and utter tears and anguish, screaming out in pain at the thought of having to let Armin die..It’s one of the few scenes that never fail to destroy me- and I don’t even like Mikasa that much. There’s just something so irreplaceable about the three of them together. Just the entire exchange between Hange and Mikasa can have me bawling. I think Armin’s sacrifice last episode was the first aot episode that had me crying. Moblit’s death was also an incredibly impactful one. The way he always blends into the background so you just kind of forget about him, or he becomes “just the guy who’s there” that you get used to. He’s really been there for Hange right from the start, but you forget about him until it’s too late and you realised how devastating it must of been for her. If you notice, he also calls her “Hange” before pushing her out the way, when normally he refers to her formally as “section commander”, really shows how much he cared about her.
exactly what I came to say, this is full circle a huge personification if thats the right word for it, of this world coming full circle in an endless cycle. Which is the entire point imo, but if i say more itll spoil
Problem is bert wants to be useful and like reiner so much that he refuses to talk to them and just says " if I talk will you be willing to all die" something like that, like what??
Levi's decision here, was very much a purely emotional decision. He didn't necessarily pick Armin, he chose to let Erwin rest. He made the most human decision.
This episode solidifies Erwin as my favorite character in Attack on Titan. The best and bravest leader who finally gave up his dream for the good of humanity. His life truly did give meaning to the sacrifice of those who came before him.
erwin is my fav. chara. too. i really want to bring him back than armin but when i realize how much he suffer how far he have done. he really need to rest. imagine if erwin got the colosal always sasageyo! 😂
I love the breakdown of Erwin's character in this season. He always seemed stoic and strong at gambling his comrades but really it was his selfish dream that saw him sacrifice his brothers and sisters in arms all through his career. Impactful writing and subversion for someone who before this just seemed like a chad
@@ell8142 “needed to rest?” At this point they didn't know about the outside world. He would've finally figured out the truth and realized his father was right. They had defeated the titans as well. Yeah sure, he would have to learn about the fact that the outside world hated them but I doubt he'd care since he just wanted to prove his father right
Bert's death is really devastating. I always remember that line from season 2 when he said "please someone find us" and it hits so hard because you can see that he didn't truly want to do any of this, he never wanted to kill any of these people in the walls. Bert is such an underrated character in my opinion
RIP to Moblit, who protected Hange one last time. Eren’s speech about how he’s forgotten his dreams of the outside/freedom and can only think of hate now, unlike Armin, who still dreams of wonder and discovery… always gets me misty-eyed.
The first time I saw the series I didn’t cry at all honestly. Now having watched it like 50 times, I tear up at just about all of it. Even just hearing some of the OPs and EDs.
(20:36 to 21:03) Incase you missed it, Hange and Moblit (and all of Hange’s squad) were too close when Bertholdt transformed and they had no chance of surviving but thanks to Moblit pushing Hange into the well, she survived because of him. In previous episodes this season Eren and the others thought Hange’s squad didn’t survive and we were tricked into thinking that Hange is dead but Moblit sacrificed his life to save Hange 💔 R.I.P Moblit, he was always by Hange’s side.
Rest in peace, Commander Erwin Smith. Your selfless sacrifice and unwavering leadership will never be forgotten. You have given your all to protect humanity and your bravery will live on through the memories of those who knew you. Give our hearts, SHINZOU SASAGEYO!!.
There wasnt even a choice. There was no way Erwin would ever see whats in the basement because if he didnt sacrifice himself he would have died anyway.
To be honest, Bertholdt's death was heartbreaking for me, he smiles seeing his fellow adventurers, thinking they could help him, only to realize that that was just part of a lie and that his only true friends were Ryner and Annie.
After seeing this over and over the past years, somehow Moblit's moment is the one that I look most forward to. The man gets too little recognition for being there when it matters and committing to his task without second thought.
This is what we meant that this anime should be watched in Japanese. The only time we hear music is at the end with the resurrection of Armin, the entire episode is just voice acting, and it's still consider one of the best episodes of anime. It's just shocking how amazing the voice actores from Eren, Levi, Mikasa and everyone is.
The best episodes in attack on titan... standing on a wall talking, standing on a roof talking spoilers below the fold sitting in a basement listening to a speech and talking, following a guided tour of history while talking. I sense a pattern.
I'm from Brazil and a funny thing happened in the dubbing is that they couldn't use Titan's sound the screams and sounds they make so the voice actors themselves had to do that when dubbing
22:47 Who said the reactions you provide are useless. For me those are pure true and genuine reactions. There are many channels, where owners keep on shouting and show themselves energetic in the whole episode to show they are eager and reacting to it for the first time, but those feels kinda fake and show-off type. I love your reactions the way you do, so don't feel insecure or misunderstand it. Just keep'em coming.. We love you. Next anime please Eighty Six or Code Geass...
I cried when Mikasa cried and we started to see the flash from Hanje' memo of Moblit saving her. It was so emotional when Hanje said: "me too I have people I want to bring to live"
Before season 4 aired this was probably my favorite episode. The way that there is no music playing until Erwin swats Levi’s hand away. Building up to Armin’s revival. Beautiful.
This scene is the epitome of great storytelling, not just anime. A lot of people view anime as mere childrens cartoons, but when you watch something like AOT you truly realize it is another medium altogether. It is a method for storytelling that comes (for us outside Japan) from a whole other culture and way of thinking. There are few other methods to connect with others in such an important way than to be able to understand one anothers stories - for they are filled with our pains, sorrow, despair, hope, joy, and love.
@@luniousm3246 I think that Re:Zero can be on the same level as AoT in the future. Maybe story of this anime not as good as AoT (yet), but character developmet in this show is very good
It is, but it has also been shown that the colossal titan's powers cant be used recklessly as it can decimate anything in the vicinity including allies. Its purpose is purely for destruction and is not as versatile as the other titans.
It was a tears of a man about the man. I've never seen before so complicated character like Erwin, therefore his death feels more tough than someone's. He played his game perfect and died like a hero. Thank you for your genuine reactions, as well. You're the best.
In this episode it's really interesting to listen carefully not only to the point of view of Armin's friends but also to that soldier who survived in a very lucky way, his arguments on why Erwin is a great leader and only lifeline for humanity to face this gory world
Actually, he seemed to be the only one who tried to survive.. During marlows death scene you can see floch leaning to the side of his and fall, while the horse takes the rock. The rest of the scouts were just sitting straight
The acting is SO good in this episode, Eren's VA especially, always breaks my heart, and Mikasa as well when Hange stops her. It's such a tragic, beautiful moment in the series.
It's also very important to remember flochs pov and views on why erwin was necessary...in this cruel world you need the devil to be able to defeat your enemies who they'll soon find out about.
The first time I cried at AOT was when Eren was too late to save Hannes. Not only did this scene get me when I first watched it, but I also cried when rewatching it with my wife, and just now cried again watching it alongside your genuine reaction. Thank you for being real with us, Luke. We all love you for it.
I like how you're completely speechless and quiet during the majority of the whole episode cuz it's how everyone felt watching it who weren't on camera just holding our breaths speechless XD
a previous episode that made me first cry was when eren realized mikasa’s feelings for him :’) gets me every time when he says “i’ll wrap that scarf around you as many times as you want…now and forever” 😭❤️
The pieces of the larger puzzle are finally starting to find their places in your noggin' I see. Very good. You are on the right thought train! And yeah, these last couple of episodes were absolutely gut wrenching.
Don't worry about the not pausing, we're as engrossed in the episode as you are. I don't know what the first time was I cried at attack on titan, I just know that now, when I watch it again, the crying starts all the way back in episode 1.
Bert at the end screaming for help is made extra sad when he sees what used to be his friends, screams for help, and having it sink in that they are not coming to help because they are no longer his friends. he then calls for his true friends in Annie and Reiner, who are both completely unable to help Bert in his final moments. awful.
A major part of why some Anime are successful is the lack of filler episodes. To top it off with excellent storytelling and execution, you get a masterpiece
I just want to say...even though you may have already watched past that...but the next few episodes of the season you have to pay full attention cos you'll get answers that are foundations for season 4 and the story as a whole
I cried a lot when erwen said his great speech and honestly I've always wanted erwen to live instead of armin.. but now when I watched the show again .... Levi did the right thing and btw your reaction is perfect you're so honest ✨
One more thing I noticed was that Erwin’s dream was to go to the basement, to see if he was right. But, armin’s dream was to see the sea because he was curious and even after seeing it his curiosity won’t end.
i shredded tears for the first time when eren lifted the boulder and other soldiers were dying in the process....also it was after episode of petra's death and the other members of levi squad in which their family members reaction thinking they would come back home...
You don't have to overeact, don't worry ! Your reaction are the most honest thar we could see on youtube, so don't be Shy to be honest and happy. It is enjoyfull to see how you can react about some scenes we loved a lot And you're not ready for the end of this Season And the season 4 haha
Love the fact that you connected so much with Berthold's character and the message the show is trying to convey through him. Many people don't even get a glimpse of that.
Don't worry about being quiet in this reaction, dude. Your silence and teary eyes at the end were better than most over-the-top reactions I've ever seen to this episode. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
15 years ago, before I started watching anime, I thought I had a heart of stone to not cry anywhere even when life was hard and to "make fun kindly" those who cried easily !!! And then I saw my 1st anime (Zero No Tsukaima, end of season 2) and with absolutely incredible astonishment, I started crying. Since then I have become very emotional and I can't thank the anime world enough for making me discover so much emotion for so many years and for making me realize that I don't have a heart of ice. You should never be ashamed of your emotions !!!
Don't worry brother, we can see how genuine is your reaction. That's why your channel is growing, you are charismatic, nice, funny, and sincere. We appreciate you keeping up with the show. I know this idea of anime seems so different before we dive into it, isn't it?! You are awesome! Regards from a 🇧🇷 fan!
What a fucking awesome episode and what a fucking awesome reaction. I cried during this episode on my first watch like so many others and now i couldn't stop my tears again. We all know what you feel. Men, this show is amazing.
Remember in No regret OVA part 2 Erwin said "Stop. Don't regret it. A regretful memory will dull your next decision and you'll leave it for someone to make the decision for you, all that's left for you then is death!" that's exactly what happened with him.. Standing on a mountain of corpses and asking Levi if he can see their fallen comrades then levi takes the decision for him.. Then he dies
Luke, your honesty in emotion is what make your reactions so real. We're living in a place where acting supercedes emotion ... with you emotion is what matters. It's what makes you a great reacter, one of my all-time favorites. For me, there were two scenes that tore me apart and I'm not sure which we saw first ... the death of Levi's childhood friends or Levi dealing with the death of his team (when Petra died it hit hard). This show hits hard when it hits. I can't say the death of Bertholdt hit me as hard as either of them ... as far as I'm concerned he got what he deserved for all the deaths he caused (especially Marco's).
Man, these eps pack a punch. Even watching again i get emotional. I loved to see you feeling the same. I'm so glad you're enjoying this as much as i did!
Don't apologize for not pausing. We have all seen this before. We went through the same set of crazy emotions that you are feeling, and we had absolutely no reason to pause.
im also kinda new to 'attack on titan'. recently finished it. but i binged the whole thing. within days, bc i personally couldnt handle those cliffhangers. then finished the manga too. but i still cant over it. its just INCREDIBLE. now rewatching with u on this channel is also brings those old memories when i was first watching aot. and ur reactions are so relatable and geniune. i really like it. this really amazing anime. it really perfected everything. i have no words. even words cant describe how much i into this anime
Luke, your face expressing emotions 1000 times better than any words. From the bottom of my hearth, you are by far the best reactor I have ever seen. Keep it up man! This show is a masterpiece! This is the moment when you're starting to get into true colors of Attack on titan. And there is so much more to come. I enjoyed every second wathching this show with you!
Last three reaction were the absolute gems. I love how sincere and genuine you are during them (you watching Levi against the Beast titan was my favourite moment). And I appreciate so much you understanding Levi motivation immediately. And not trying to decide who deserved to be saved more. (What for me - I never forgave the story for saving Armin and not Erwin, even though I get everyone’s motivation including the writer’s. I had to take two weeks break and was never invested in the show as much as I was before 3x18. It was still great of course)
You're the most genuine reactor ever and that's why I love following your channel and watching your videos because thanks to that I feel to re-live the first time I watched an episode
your words at the end of the video are so beautiful and actually made me even tear up a bit. All I can say is, thank you for being genuine and thank you for being you.
Wow, glad to hear that I'm not the only one that got the final push to crying from that Berthold scene. Even after seeing it multiple times. It always gets me how he calls for the one's he holds dear when facing his death but has to die all alone. Btw it is perfectly fine how you do it with the pauses. especially in these emotional scenes it's best not to pause. It will just ruin the effect
Another scene that touched me is at the end of season 2, at the death of hannes with eren crying and screaming at the same time cursing himself...there that was really touching and the voice actor is great..anyway I prefer it when you don't always pause, I'm totally fine with listening to your thoughts at the end rather than interrupting the episode several times. You are so funny and I can tell that your reactions are genuine from the emotions that run through your eyes as you watch the episodes! I hope I didn't misspell anything and that you understand everything. A hug from Italy!😊
mate...personally these are the the reactions I want 100% genuine no pausing no fake shit these are the good reactions and that's why I love your reactions I don't do twitch but I made an account just to catch you on twitch, your channel is only gonna grow...keep the good content coming!
Fun fact: this episode, “Midnight Sun,” is the number 22 top rated tv episode on IMDB. It is beaten by the previous 2 episodes: “Hero,” the second highest rated imdb tv episode, and “Perfect Game,” the third highest rated imdb tv episode. These three episodes put together is one of the most beautiful and heart wrenching experiences from tv.
I really appreciate how genuine you are, and I believe nearly everyone is - hence your growth. We're here to enjoy the story with you, enjoy as you please!
The genuine reaction to this episode is what we wanted and we appreciate how you reacted because this is the feelings that we had watching this. And the music omg 😭
Ha! I never noticed how foreshadowing THIS chapter was. With everything that Floch and Eren said XD Once again, Kaji Yuki shows why he is one, if not the best, of the most acknowledged japanese voice actors.
Bro, thanks for the genuine reaction. I've always wanted to be able to watch AOT with someone to see their reaction, and you've allowed me to live that, in a way
I did cry on this scene, and I can tell you, you're not done crying, it's crazy, how perfect those episodes are made, the way they made those characters so human-like and realistic is so good.
Only Levi really knew the mental turmoil Erwin was in despite his outwardly Stoic personality. Levi was his closest friend and ally so yeah, Levi choosing Armin over him means he knew thats what Erwin would have wanted. Erwin's dream to confirm whether his father was right or not was his motivation to turn into the demon he was but otherwise, he "kept seeing the faces of his fallen comrades"as he "stood on a mountain of their bodies" so he was suffering internally, and Levi understood that. Its just so ironic that he spent his whole life chasing that dream, sacrificing others to get an inch closer to achieve it and then in the end, had to sacrifice his own life in order for others to reach it instead. Hes such a well-written character and will always be my favorite character of the series. Also, appreciate the honesty and thank you for being genuine in your reactions. Lastly, season 4 gonna be even more tragic so be prepared. You are NOT READY for it.😂 At the end id appreciate if you give your honest thoughts on who you think is good and who is evil.
You finally made it to this episode!!! Also, a sad moment with Bertholdt is that when he was held by Titan Armin, you can see that he, for a second, was happy when he saw his fellow soldiers and he screamed "Guys, Help me!".
Your reaction to this episode is simply legendary, we can write a whole novel of the emotions you've shown just through your facial expressions in this video
The beauty of Attack on Titan is that it makes you cry for who you thought being the "villains" but of course there are no villains in attack on titan, just humans that turns to monsters and sometimes even with the appearance and power of monster they are not inside like Berthold
I completely agree with your thoughts about Bert, that scene was really painful. There have to be some reasons to why they are doing what they are doing. AOT taught us that everything is not what it seems.
Never clicked so fast on a video! Really enjoyed your reactions as always! :) The past three episodes were on a whole other level with the storytelling, voice acting, soundmixing, directing etc. I was one of the manga readers who have already read the plot and have known what was going to happen in this episode (and in the previous ones) YEARS before the anime came out. Thought I was somehow immune to the emotions because the manga already made me cry. Still ugly cried from ep16 to the end of this episode......The anime adaptation was just this brilliant. Also, the choice made by the anime production team to omit the opening and all bgm in the first 2/3 of this episode was an ingenious move. That really allowed the audience a deeper level of immersion, made us feel like we were acutally there suffering with them 👍
25:20 "My father... he was a teacher. One day, we were learning history. To protect themselves from the Titans, humanity took refuge within the walls and realized 100 years of peace. In doing so, any records of our earlier past were lost for all of time. That's what we're all taught. However, I.. having doubts of my own, asked my father a question. My father evaded answering the question and ended class as normal. But... After we got home, my father answered my question..."
I think this is a strong reminder that while there are plenty of mysteries to solve and theorize about, the story is built on an emotional core. A common issue with "mystery box" style writing is that it's hard to get invested if you don't care about the characters or the setting. I think so far AoT has done really well in avoiding that by first establishing a resonance with its cast, so that we care about these subsequent twists and turns because of how it impacts them.
This is easily one of the most emotionally charged episodes of anime that I have seen, and considering that there is much more to come for you. I love how genuine your reactions are. I very truly believe that anime is able to capture the emotion of characters in ways that other mediums of entertainment cannot. Another anime that I think you should consider watching after AoT is Made in Abyss which has an incredible story and is very full of emotion.
the scene that got me tearing up first was The Charge. "MY SOLDIERS, RAGE! MY SOLDIERS, SCREAM! MY SOLDIERS, F I G H T!!" and smash cut to erwin getting shredded by rocks, going limp, eyes rolling into his head, my shock punctuated by the dying screams of his faithful white steed. awful, awful time. i had to take a huge AoT break after that.
These last 2 episodes are the best tv. Hanges speech makes me cry everytime - people have to somehow live on with the grief of loss and separation. This is why I love AoT - its so human and emotionally honest. Its great storytelling
Man….I’ve seen people cry a lot….but just that single tear that went down your face…hit harder than nearly all of them. I cry a lot, but there’s something more emotional about a person crying who barely cries at all. Something managed to break them, something in their core finally gave. It’s beautiful, and it makes me cry when I see that. Also, I love the symbolism of that final scene where Mikasa & Eren came to Armin when he emerged from the Titan. It replicates episode 6 or whatever in season 1 when Eren first emerged from his Titan & Mikasa & Armin came to him in tears. That scene really got to me.
The reason I love reactions is because I feel like I’m watching them again for the first time especially when they’re genuine reactions. This whole show, the animation the music the story by Isayama created has made me emotional. I think people forget they’re still 15-16 yr olds.
Look. Your reaction is our reaction too. When I saw all this at first I didn't screamed or yelled. I was silent, crying even. Amazing show. The first scene that made me cry: not the only: was seeing Erwin falling from his horse on Perfect Game.
I think Kenny played a big role in the decision making, the fact that he said people were slaves of something in order to feel motivated to live, and throughout the series, we can see as we get closer to closer to the truth Erwin seems to have gone more and more unsure of what happens next once he learns about the truth of the world, the uncertainty of what comes next after reaching his goal, keeping on pushing the squad, fighting for humanity or not is something Erwin did not prove to Levi despite being questioned numerous times, this and the fact that Erwin pushed his hands away off probably suggested that Erwin himself understands that like many other soldiers that had dreams which never reached, he has sacrificed too much and after being so closed to it, he knew he would probably stay out of everything once he learns the truth indicated that the so called Ruthless commander is just another "slave" like Kenny suggested, Armin on the other hand, yes, he does have a dream, but in contrast between cuts of different scenes, you can see the glowing light in their eyes, one resembles hope and the other is like running out of energy, anyway just thought you'd might like to think in a different perspetcive with a different interpretation
I don't understand English, but from the words I know and the expressions on your face, I know you are into the story of AOT. Some people say bad things about Reiner and Bertholdt, but you looked sad in the scene where Bertolt is eaten. You are a kind person. I liked it. I watched all of AOT in two weeks in July. Since then I have watched the reaction videos and cried with them. There are many more stories to come. I look forward to your FS reactions as well.

This shows how well written lines we have in AOT

Bertholdt and annie were really just forced into it by reiner who was always trying to be a leader
Right
Problem is bert wants to be useful and like reiner so much that he refuses to talk to them and just says " if I talk will you be willing to all die" something like that, like what??
@@twiddlerat9920 l want Annie and Airmin to marry bert is gone
@@ell8142 “needed to rest?”
At this point they didn't know about the outside world. He would've finally figured out the truth and realized his father was right. They had defeated the titans as well. Yeah sure, he would have to learn about the fact that the outside world hated them but I doubt he'd care since he just wanted to prove his father right
Erwin is my second favourite after Reiner
@@ilyas_claymore me too l like Rianer
Bert's death is really devastating. I always remember that line from season 2 when he said "please someone find us" and it hits so hard because you can see that he didn't truly want to do any of this, he never wanted to kill any of these people in the walls. Bert is such an underrated character in my opinion
He's an incredible character! The heart of the "bad" guys
RIP to Moblit, who protected Hange one last time.
Eren’s speech about how he’s forgotten his dreams of the outside/freedom and can only think of hate now, unlike Armin, who still dreams of wonder and discovery… always gets me misty-eyed.
Can’t believe you’re almost at S4. If you thought these few episodes left you in a speechless dilemma, wait until S4
🤯 I am not ready!!
Berthold's death really crushed me too when I first saw it. The desperation in his voice is heartbreaking. It's much worse upon rewatch.
Yes he wants to marry Ainne
😢
Another reactor had this reflection about it: He died the exact same kind of death he condemned so many people to when he kicked in the wall.
The first time I saw the series I didn’t cry at all honestly. Now having watched it like 50 times, I tear up at just about all of it. Even just hearing some of the OPs and EDs.
Same 👍❤️

Last erwin words " how you know there are no humans outside the walls". Was what he was asking to his father. And the truth he wanted to know
(20:36 to 21:03) Incase you missed it, Hange and Moblit (and all of Hange’s squad) were too close when Bertholdt transformed and they had no chance of surviving but thanks to Moblit pushing Hange into the well, she survived because of him. In previous episodes this season Eren and the others thought Hange’s squad didn’t survive and we were tricked into thinking that Hange is dead but Moblit sacrificed his life to save Hange 💔 R.I.P Moblit, he was always by Hange’s side.
I did catch it but was just in shock from start to finish of this episode.
Rest in peace, Commander Erwin Smith. Your selfless sacrifice and unwavering leadership will never be forgotten. You have given your all to protect humanity and your bravery will live on through the memories of those who knew you. Give our hearts, SHINZOU SASAGEYO!!.
I can never hear SHINZOU SASAGEYO in glory again after the events of S4

There wasnt even a choice. There was no way Erwin would ever see whats in the basement because if he didnt sacrifice himself he would have died anyway.
@@monkeyboy275bobo8 He could have abandoned the operation entirely and tried to make his way there before dying.
@@MyMainMan90 they were watered down nazis by the end but they're fighting for their people and country as was Erwin fighting the titans .
berthold's last moment was heartbreaking, and how u described it was so on point
❤️
To be honest, Bertholdt's death was heartbreaking for me, he smiles seeing his fellow adventurers, thinking they could help him, only to realize that that was just part of a lie and that his only true friends were Ryner and Annie.
Yes he and Annie are cute but he gnoe his brother Rianer and his wife Annie
After seeing this over and over the past years, somehow Moblit's moment is the one that I look most forward to. The man gets too little recognition for being there when it matters and committing to his task without second thought.
Moblit really is a backbone of the group, because Hange is and without Moblit there is no Hange ❤️

I'm from Brazil and a funny thing happened in the dubbing is that they couldn't use Titan's sound the screams and sounds they make so the voice actors themselves had to do that when dubbing

Who said the reactions you provide are useless.
Yes, he's the only one I follow. that made the reaction clips 🐧He did it with real feelings not pretending

"I really think that there's some big, underlying story"
Understatement of the year right here.
Sadly I don't think there's any anime that has reached this level of storytelling and character development. AoT is actually in a league of its own.
@@luniousm3246 I think that Re:Zero can be on the same level as AoT in the future.
Maybe story of this anime not as good as AoT (yet), but character developmet in this show is very good
I've watched this show about 10x by now, and these couple of episodes still make me tear up every time😢
❤️
Something no one ever mentions or truly realises how great it is and what it means for the rest of this show. Armin is now the colossal Titan 🤯
It is, but it has also been shown that the colossal titan's powers cant be used recklessly as it can decimate anything in the vicinity including allies. Its purpose is purely for destruction and is not as versatile as the other titans.
True!
The show always gives you good with a side of bad 😂
It was a tears of a man about the man.
I've never seen before so complicated character like Erwin, therefore his death feels more tough than someone's. He played his game perfect and died like a hero.
Thank you for your genuine reactions, as well. You're the best.
In this episode it's really interesting to listen
carefully not only to the point of view of Armin's
friends but also to that soldier who survived in a
very lucky way, his arguments on why Erwin is a
great leader and only lifeline for humanity to face
this gory world
Folch is king
Actually, he seemed to be the only one who tried to survive.. During marlows death scene you can see floch leaning to the side of his and fall, while the horse takes the rock. The rest of the scouts were just sitting straight
All hail king Floch!
Oh they needed the devil. I finally got it on this rewatch
why do you
type like this
The acting is SO good in this episode, Eren's VA especially, always breaks my heart, and Mikasa as well when Hange stops her.
18:01 and 27:05
These are two of my top dialogs in AOT.
RIP our Devil, RIP Erwin.
I like how you're completely speechless and quiet during the majority of the whole episode cuz it's how everyone felt watching it who weren't on camera just holding our breaths speechless XD
sad fact: the last thing Hange's left eye saw was his loyal protector Moblit, such an underrated character :(
a previous episode that made me first cry was when eren realized mikasa’s feelings for him :’) gets me every time when he says “i’ll wrap that scarf around you as many times as you want…now and forever” 😭❤️
The choice of not putting music and just let us BE in that moment... Perfection.
The pieces of the larger puzzle are finally starting to find their places in your noggin' I see. Very good. You are on the right thought train! And yeah, these last couple of episodes were absolutely gut wrenching.
Hero and then Midnight Sun are absolutely perfect 10/10 episodes, the fact they were back to back was insane.
I'll make sure 💯💯
I cried a lot when erwen said his great speech and honestly I've always wanted erwen to live instead of armin.. but now when I watched the show again .... Levi did the right thing
and btw your reaction is perfect you're so honest ✨
the music in this episode is just spot on, from the silence throughout the episode till THAT ost at the end is just heartpiercing
It is enjoyfull to see how you can react about some scenes we loved a lot
And you're not ready for the end of this Season
And the season 4 haha
Erwin’s speech this season is what first brought me to tears!
Definitely two ways of looking at it of course, he's done a lot of evil and hurt a lot of people 💯
🥹 very kind thank you ❤️❤️❤️
it was more reiner that caused marcos death than bertholdt

The genuine reaction to this episode is what we wanted and we appreciate how you reacted because this is the feelings that we had watching this. And the music omg 😭
Ha! I never noticed how foreshadowing THIS chapter was. With everything that Floch and Eren said XD
Once again, Kaji Yuki shows why he is one, if not the best, of the most acknowledged japanese voice actors.
You are NOT READY for it.😂
At the end id appreciate if you give your honest thoughts on who you think is good and who is evil.
Damn you and the show had me tearing up lmao and I’m a AOT vet! I felt your emotions all the way here

Watching AOT with you feels like I'm watching it with a friend. Thank you for your real reaction to the show.
AOT taught us that everything is not what it seems.
for one who has followed ur journey since u first reacted to the intro songs it feels sooo weird that ur soon gonna see season 4...thats craaazy!

"My father... he was a teacher.
I appreciate the genuine reaction. The feels are real here
This is easily one of the most emotionally charged episodes of anime that I have seen, and considering that there is much more to come for you. I love how genuine your reactions are. I very truly believe that anime is able to capture the emotion of characters in ways that other mediums of entertainment cannot. Another anime that I think you should consider watching after AoT is Made in Abyss which has an incredible story and is very full of emotion.
These 3 seasons have just been a prologue to what is about to come in S4. Season 4 is gonna blow your mind bro...

Not sure if you notice because of everything that was going on, but we saw Moblit sacrificing himself for Hange in this episode.
the scene that got me tearing up first was The Charge.
"MY SOLDIERS, RAGE!
MY SOLDIERS, SCREAM!
MY SOLDIERS, F I G H T!!"
and smash cut to erwin getting shredded by rocks, going limp, eyes rolling into his head, my shock punctuated by the dying screams of his faithful white steed.
awful, awful time. i had to take a huge AoT break after that.
Your speech at the end was amazing. She touched me to the depths of my soul.
Don't worry about "I don't talk much and some people might not like it." Your face during the viewing said much more than words
Roller coaster of emotions, appreciate the honest reaction.
