Part of the Carowinds County Fair, The Flying Cobras gives guests a taste of an airshow from an early-era county fair. Look to the sky to see the amazing aeronautics of this thrilling coaster.
Standing at 125 feet, this coaster sends riders through a 360 degree loop and a cobra roll. Once riders catch their breath, they are sent through the whole ride again backwards! This coaster turns riders upside down a total of six times.
Minimum height requirement of 48" tall to ride.

This was my first 'real' roller coaster yesterday (unless you count the Goldrusher). I rode 3 times, each with my eyes shut and holding on for dear life 😂😂😂

This was the first thrill ride I rode when I first went to Carowinds. I was I think 14 when I rode this. I still wasn’t used to riding roller coasters yet so obviously I was basically shitting myself. I still really like this coaster, and is definitely my favorite Vekoma Boomerang.
I rode this when I was 8 and screamed the whole ride even when it didn’t move at all and my parents decided to let me ride the ricochet afterwards to “cheer me up” it made me cry even more and we got ice cream then rode kiddy rides for the rest of the time
I'd totally forgotten, but I actually worked on this ride occasionally, too. I liked being sent over there when I was tired, because there was only ever one train on the track (thanks to the design which makes it impossible to run more than one) so I got to take a breather while it was in motion.
Ironically Cobra shared its crew with the unusually labor-intensive Goldrusher, so once in a while I'd set off for heaven and find out I was headed for hell instead.

I used to be terrified of this roller coaster.. I finally rode it yesterday and it was actually fun.
Wow. Without the headache, you can really feel the forces without the head banging. It really great. I'm not rlly crazy about going backwards tho

Static Coaster, im a coaster enthusiast, and this boomerang is suprisingly smooth. Let them love the ride without them recieving hate.

This ALMOST replaces the backwards coaster of Thunder Road. (RIP) I'm taking my daughter tomorrow for the first time. I personally haven't been in about 9 years, so I know its going to be fun. I'm going to miss Rip Roaring Rapids and White Waterfall though. I road those with my grandmother decades ago. Maybe they can add them to Carolina Harbor sometime.

The first lift is steeper than you might expect

I love this one cause u get to choose if u wanna go forwards or backwards first lol
I rode fury 7 times, and all of that combined couldn’t compare me for the nausea I got on the backwards loop.
I usually chicken out on roller coaster rides but i got on this today and when we was going backwards to get speed i was freaking out but once the ride started it was smooth.
this was a one and done for me.

You know what would be cool. Build 2 of these back to back so the cobra roll would be inside the space of the other boomerang. Then dispatch both trains at the same time so both trains hit the cobra roll at the same time.

The end of the ride looks fake as hell. The last part of the cobra roll (how fitting) seemed awfully slow and the very end when the ride stops like it stops instantly and i know no ride stops that fast and instantly its just real fake looking.
Man I remember going on this beacuse of pure pressure… man I beat the absolute shit out of him after that
