Pixel 7 review after 1 month! In this video I will talk about the Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 battery life, pixel 7 camera, pixel 7 price, pixel 7 sale price, Pixel 7 black friday sale, pipxel 7 performance, and my experience using the Google Pixel 7 for the last month running Android 13, and built on the Google Tensor G2 chip! The Pixel 7 shines and undercuts all of the competition and stands alone as the best phone in the $500 price point and improved so much over the Pixel 6.

My pixel 7 can’t send receive texts. It started after the last update. I’ve tried everything except factory reset.
Inaccurate prices. You may want to remove/edit.

@@ACStrong1982 - Could you or Someone recommend a a REALLY good case and screen protector for the pixel 7 as well? (Send the name and the URL link as well if you could)
Thank You!
Been using the regular Pixel 7 for about two weeks now. And I'm happy to say that this phone exceeds my expectations! I'm a moderate user most of the time and I could get 20+ hrs standby time and screen on time for 9 hrs! That's crazy and very, very far from my previous phone, the S9+.
I was getting around 9 SOT on my P6Pro. I've only been using my Pixel 7 for a few days and it's already hitting 10 SOT before it's even done optimizing things
S9+? Wow I thought I was making a jump from the s10
S9+ user here too. I love it and still kicking ass. Though I am trying to decide between pixel pro and Galaxy S22+.
Tough decision.
What are the pros and cons of having a Pixel 7?
I'm saving money to buy this phone and I'm still a student. Is it worth it to buy? I'm just a casual gamer not a hard gamer. I love taking pictures but I don't want to buy Iphone because it is expensive here in the Philippines and also it is not practical.
Is there heating issues when you're just browsing the social media's? What about the battery?
Please give me insights or feedbacks. Much appreciated! Take care, Fellas!
@@kieldelacruz7873 if you want to game go with the S22+. There are videos comparing all of these phones. Search here on UA-cam.
After a month or so I couldn't take the Pixel 6 anymore. I was plagued with every problem. I got my Samsung back and then just traded it in for the pixel 7 and I have to say very pleased phones awesome!
For those interested, the Pixel 7 128GB is at $499 on the Google Store. You can trade-in your Pixel 6 and get up to $479 if it's in good condition. That is an absolute bonkers of a deal. It'd would cost you $60 to upgrade ($20 + sale tax).
I have been using the Google pixel for a few days now and I really enjoy it. I love the phone
I absolutely love the wider angle lens. Currently using the Pixel 6 and I use the .7 lens all the time. Photos can look better if you are creative or if you need a wider angle in a smaller space.
It is a nice feature
Got a pixel 7 from an s21+ and I much prefer this. Only heating I ever feel is during like using meets and charging at the same time or using the camera. Other than that I've had no problems with this and I'm getting all day battery easily. I've pushed 7 hours multiple times.
Is there a real difference between s21+and pixel 7
Do you miss anything concerning s21+?
@@waleedmostafa9376 I prefer the 7 in pretty much every way. The battery has been better for me, the camera is better, the software is better, you can use gestures on third party launcher without having to root or change anything. I can't tell the difference between 90 and 120hz and the size is my preferred size. The thing I'll give you the s21+ is the speakers were definitely better. Other than that I would definitely recommend the 7 to anyone.
@@bigbunn_
How about voice recording
Whether audio or video as Sam is distinguished at that.
And is there video portrait in the front cam?
@@waleedmostafa9376 Also moved to a Pixel 7 from an S21+. Anything I will miss from the S21+ will be made up for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE I have coming in for cheap. lol
I think most of the awesome Samsung features are better suited for productivity devices, while Google makes better hardware/software for a phone. Just my two cents.
I really like the translator, my Spanish is good on a conversation level but when dealing with legal document I feel more confident when i can take a picture and translate just to ensure I fully understand.
I've had the Pixel 7 for two days now, upgrading from Pixel 4XL (still an excellent phone, but no future support/upgrades). Your review is spot on. I'm still learning some of the new features with this phone, but I will say I'm already impressed. With rebates and a trade-in of $325 for my pixel XL... This phone cost me around $200, including tax. Sweet!
Last night I had a Google Meet with a friend. She commented on the voice clarity and overall quality of the video, with this new phone.
Seamless wired transfer of absolutely everything from my 4XL to my Pixel 7. And just as you mentioned in your video review, yeah, it does get warm for initial setup and updates... We're talking some serious amounts of u/d data transferring. Absolutely no issues past initial setup.
I have a Google One account as well, so that certainly adds confidence with saving pictures, videos and whatnot.
If anything changes, I'll definitely update my comment, but for now- awesome!
Thanks for the review and safe travels, friend!
Thanks so much for the review! Watching this on my Pixel 7 and loving it - picked up one for my wife, too.
Thanks for the advice on the AACL screen protector - no bubbles and very easy installation. Turned up the fingerprint sensitivity, but still fingerprint sensor only works about half the time...any suggestions?
Google doesn't care if the fingerprint sensor is really that good or not because people are buying their phones anyway.
I actually have the lemongrass color and love it
Glad you like it!
Me too . This year it was an easy choice to pick color since I'm deadly fed up with the white and the fingerprint magnet black.
@@Rehnstrand yeah I wanted a different color
same!
I like the Lemongrass colour.
I traded in my P6PRO for the Pixel 7, threw a skin on it and am enjoying using it caseless. Absolutely perfect handfeel and size on this phone.
Where did you get your skin from?
Do you have any regrets coming from the pro?
I have the 7 pro now for about 3 weeks. I am right here near downtown Dallas right across the street from 5G towers and I cannot leave my phone on 5G all throughout the day. It says I lose connection or no service. I reset all my network settings, I've talked to Google. They said they can replace it since I just bought it but I have to buy another one and lock up $1100 and once I get the new one and transfer my data then when I send this old one in they will unlock that $1100 off my card. I paid for it with debit card, I don't use credit cards so this is kind of a hassle. When I talked to Google the person in the chat acted like they never heard of any issues with connectivity. But then I see other people on reddit showing screenshots where when they were in chat, Google acknowledge the issue and a patch was coming. I've had a Samsung s21 ultra for the last year and a half Never lost connection with 5g. I will get a new one and try that and if that don't work I'll wait for a patch and then probably after a year I'll go back to Samsung if still having Issues .
I own a Pixel 7, so far i love this phone over the S22. I had to reset it because made it my main phone so had to redo the Battery but seem to doing better again. As for Charging don't really mind waiting it faster then most phone i use to sue before. On thign I don't like the the figne4r Print scanner, seem to have trouble reading it not sure why, have to see how to readd them maybe it will fix it. But beside that it perfect love the face unlock just so fast. I got the Black one just couldn't go white or green but love this black I also love that Matte Finish on the bar is betetr then the Pro one wish they had made that the same. But yeah i lvoe the size not to big not to small it perfect size. I got a great deal on it which only had to add a new line and only paying $99 for it such a steal.
Your lemongrass colored Pixel 7 is growing on me. 🍋 😆
I have been using a Pixel 6 PRO for about a year now. It has been a mostly trouble free phone. I have an issue with a piece of dust or something on the main camera sensor that shows up as a dark spot in the corner but otherwise I have little to complain about. If the 7 PRO is better then it must be awesome. I will probably trade in next year. Haven't decided on another Pixel, maybe a Samsung, maybe a foldable or maybe even go back to iPhone. It is hard to go wrong these days since pretty much all phones are great.
Renders leaked today for Pixel foldable tipped for May release. Might be worth waiting for 👀
I think you're getting much better in your presentation skills, congratulations!
Presentation is the same, he is just in a different room
Damn, the Lemongrass is my favorite one lol. The pixel 7 is actually favorite phone purchase this year and I bought the iPhone 14PM and the S22 Ultra.
The disrespect for lemongrass..
I can’t help it. Mistakes were made 🤢
Lemongrass for life ❤️
I love Thai food.
That's the color I want.
I have the snow and love it. I don't know why people are head over heels for lemongrass, it is a shit color IMO as well!
5G connection is way better than the Pixel 6. However, the 5G Modem is still the battery drainer on this phone. Went from 1 day of charge and going to bed with single digit battery to 1.5 to 2 day battery when turning off 5G and only using 4G LTE.
I really like the Pixel 7 after 2 weeks. Traded up from the 5a. Google gave me $255 for the 5a. $328 for the 256 gb version net!
Nice! Solid deal. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it
Went from Samsung S9 to the Pixel 7 Pro. Battery on the Pixel 7 is just awesome! The charging is slow if I use my normal cords, but using the charging cord the phone came with, battery charges up quickly. Apps open soooo much faster!
Only thing I miss about My Samsung is that there are so many features that I can personalize that are not an option on the Pixel.
Same… I don’t miss Bixby though
@@madams8632 Bixby is like talking to a brick
6.3" is a pretty nice screen size. Not too big, just big enough 🙂
Yup yup.
that is what made me chose this instead of s22. screen was too big. iphone was too small.
I just now had my Pixel Seven delivered. I'm upgrading from a pixel six.
Nice!
I have a P6 on a13 beta and it's vastly improved. I'm going to keep it until the P8 drops
Glad to hear it’s been better for you
When you put a screen protector, there is a setting on display that helps with the finger print sensitivity.
Nice I live in Sonoma and just happened to get this phone and was wondering what was being said about it. Small world
I was there for 5 days! Just ate at the Black Bear Diner on Saturday. Such good food.
I Just traded an iphone for the 7pro. I needed to get back to Android. 7pro is awesome glad I went the Pixel route. My first pixel phone ever.
I due have a complaint. Face recognition is squelchy. Fast when it works but doesn't work all the time. Redone face recognition several times
very few people understand that benchmark technical paper is not the main reason to judge a phone performance and capabilities, it is not a standard in picking a phone, I'm a 8 years iPhone user 4 years Huawei user until the US ban about 3 years Samsung and Oneplus user , believe me with the Pixel 7 pro for the first time i feel that I have a different way of thinking on a phone, I'm not missing anything on it I play Call of Duty mobile just doing well + the AI and features that I get on the Pixel hard to find elsewhere. so damn satisfied good job Google because when I used to switch from a phone to another I always appreciate, regret and miss some stuff while switching, but here for the first time 0 regret 0 missing stuff I have what all the others have and more exclusive features and services, around my friends mostly IPhones and Galaxy dudes when I do some stuff on the Pixel I get (ooohhh you can do that that's so gooood 😭 I really wish to have that on my galaxy or my iPhone ) so I understand that I made a good decision.
I wish I saw this earlier. Hope you had a great time in my hometown. I have gone through the big 3 (s22, 14 pro max 7 pro) and I must say I love the 7 pro the most. After being an android driver for 12 years, I decided to give the iPhone another shot. I was quite surprised by the reception issues and bugs it had. Being in the wine country, reception is spotty in particular areas and it is a big deal for me and my work. Samsung and iphone constantly dropped my calls. Pixel was amazing. I had a handful of other issues with the iPhone but that's ultimately my preference. I rock the peak design case with MagSafe and I can use all the accessories. Enjoy
I never been so happy with a phone like I am with my Pixel 7
New pixel 7 here. All good 👍
I have got a iPhone 13 Pro at the moment thinking of changing it to a pixel 7 or a iPhone 14 pro
Did Google push this video to me because of my search results for pixel 7 or because of your geo location near me...either way thanks for the review
No clue. But glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
My pixel 7 will arrive tomorrow.
Very cool. You have a case and screen protector already?
@@TechOdyssey going with the peak design case probably. It is nonslip and the best case I found for my pixel 6.
Great video Adam! I am enjoying my new Pixel 7 Pro! Thanks for the update on everything! Enjoy Sonoma County!
Always rocking that beard in the selfies haha. Cheers for the video. Interested in the Black Friday deals for the Pixel 7
I honestly can't imagine a faster charging phone. Now, my last phone was nearly 6 years old. Lol. But still. It's plenty fast to me
I'm coming from a OnePlus 9pro with 65W charging. That's the one thing I'll miss about that phone switching to the P7pro
Been watching your vids for awhile. I like ya man, u got my sub
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. I'm glad you like the videos.
I had to upgrade to from a Huawei P10 2017 model to something more recent. I went for the Pixel 6. I am very happy with it. Unfortunately, I could not wait for the Pixel 7. 😞.
However, I think that the difference that is negligible (?).
I'm very excited for my pixel 7 to arrive! I traded in my pixel 6 Pro and ended up with Google store credit 🙂
Waiting for my pixel 7 to arrive.
Nice!
Which pixel 7 case? Your description links the 7 Pro case (definitely not spigen in that link)
Good catch. I copied the wrong link. It’s the Spigen liquid Air.
Nice phone I have the same one I tried s23 and returnef it and went back to this pixel
Hi. Thank you for the great videos. Could advise or make a video for picking pixel 7 or pixel 6 pro? The price seems about the same in my country. I really want a bigger screen with 120 hz refresh rate + 4x camera, but considered about bugs on pixel 6 pro and older hardware. Thank you.
Good & informative video! Current pixel 7 pro owner.
Another UA-cam blogger says the Pixel 7 metal casing scratches easily. Now I'm worried about buying one.
Do you plan on carrying it without a case?
I'm also very content with my Pixel 7
Does Someone want to let Mr. TechOdyssey know that the expression is "keeping up with the Joneses" and not "keeping up with the Benjamins" haha. I've heard it in a couple of videos now and... just thought I'd help a brother out. I don't know what I watch these videos so much since I have a Pixel 7 and love it (even in lemongrass), but I think how kind and sweet the content creator is has something to do with it. The lemongrass does look like a sun yellowed white but I suppose I just like how awkward it is.
Pixel 7 for $500 or OnePlus 10 Pro for $550? Sale started today. Last wk, i got Pixel 6A but I find it a bit small.
That's a toughie. I would be very tempted to go 10 Pro. If it were the 10 I would say no, but the Pro is maxed out and has everything I want in a phone, minus the Pixel software support. They also ditched macro for whatever reason but the charging speed is super nice too and it's a gorgeous phone. You can't go wrong with either.
@@TechOdyssey Appreciate info. I'm coming from OP 7 which im used to so I'm torn. I'm not getting it from Best Buy bec they have $45 restocking fee (just found out), even though returns are until Jan 14. Amazon seems the way to go but they only have OP 10 Pro in stock.
Oneplus 10 pro for $500 CAD with trade in or Pixel 7 at $800 CAD?
Great phone! If Pixel 7 came with fast charging, I would probably get it.
My only complain is that the Pixel 7 doesn’t take bright photos like the Samsung s21 ? Do you have a solution ? Thanks for the video
As good as the pixel 7 is, Google needs to get rid of the glossy back on both pro and regular models , matte back .
Got a 6a since it came out no problems with it really good phone. Have you heard anything about the 7a and specs?
Possible 90hz Refresh Rate. That's all we know for now.
Hey, thanks for the video and yeah I got to say the seven is definitely a step up from the six in many ways
Do you have any issues with the selfie camera in low light? Mine comes out with lots of noise and blurry...
I like yellow...so I'd be the oddball to get the "lemon grass"
I just really like the two colors of the Pixel 6
I wouldn't even be looking to upgrade on the 17th if the Bluetooth worked with earbuds 😁
I had the Pixel 7 pro and my experience with it wasn’t all that good the screen was great and camera was also great software was fast, few bugs here and there nothing major but two things I hate about it, it got crazy warm and the battery drain so fast I wasn’t even using the phone and it still drain very fast bad battery life I’m not sure why it was like that but I kept it for a week didn’t get any better so I returned and got iPhone 14 Pro Max and bro there’s level to this Phone game that’s all I have to say.
Haha, spot on. I had the 7 pro and same experience. Great software, great camera... but the battery drain 😕, not even using the phone it drops 40% just cause...m
7 or the pro ?
What is the best color in person? I was leaning towards the green looking one (don't know the name).
I purchased the Pixel 7 with a 256 GB hard drive. After 2 weeks, its telling me that my drive is full and that I need more space. I check the storage usage and it shows 41 gigs used. Why is that? I can no longer save pictures to my HD.
Something is eating up storage. I would call Google and have them walk you through the steps.

I think yu should if your cam person, I have the Pixel 7 but love it
Even with my pixel 6 i got more overall stability , it becom more mature and fell it run like it supose to when it came out
I like this phone so far, but I think the video quality (in low light) and battery is a bit meh. The video editer doesnt work optimal aswell.

I'm having trouble connecting to my car (Bluetooth connectivity). Waze works if i have UA-cam music or regular UA-cam actively playing. Same apples to listening to WhatsApp audio messages. I have a 2017 440i. Not sure if it's the car.
I think one point is missing for me. Any scratches with the camera visor after a month of using it?

Give it a week for everything to settle in and the adaptive battery to kick in

Wait for Pixel 8
Wait for the 9 imo.

I'm also debating exchanging the pixel 7 for the 7 pro. What did you end up doing?
Wish when I connect to my car that it'll show Spotify meta data, my previous Huawei did.
You should have given her ur pixel 6a and showed her how to use it. Idk if you have it with you but that would've been awesome she'd had loved having that for her work phone!!!!! Just saying they don't make much money
I bought the 7 and returned it. The video quality was pathetic to say the least. Then I thought I'd try the 6 just to see. Of course, it was horrible too. Worse part is the fingerprint sensor sucks (Even Google knows that). Sadly, the language translations for in app support doesn't work and I know I'm not the only one. Google is sending out half-baked phones because, just like Apple, THEY CAN. Meaning people are buying them anyway. No one talks about how bad their video quality is, they only show their photos :(
The video quality isn't bad at all. Lol. I don't know what you're comparing it to but it's widely regarded as good and significantly improved over the last two years. And the 7 fingerprint sensor works great. The 6 had it's issues before but has been significantly improved and the 7 has been working well.

Wait for the S23 Ultra.
@@thundergato84 I have been using Samsung Galaxy phones as long as I can remember (currently have S21 Ultra). I've been interested in trying pixel for some time as all the reviews I watch just LOVE the smoothness of the experience even if it isn't top end hardware. Curious your thoughts on why wait for S23 Ultra, you think it will blow pixel out of the water??
@@michaelbitter7682 I would think the S23 Ultra would blow it out of the water. Samsung has been struggling recently to put out a polished product as the whole S22 range had numerous issues with the SD 8G1, so I am assuming they will do their best to make the best product possible. Especially since if they fail again, they will keep losing customers.
Has anyone on here been facing issues with the Wallet App since the November update?
can you please go over pixel 7 video call quality issue . i have used whatsapp and even duo or meet its all blurry and no one seems to address this issue
I wound up returning my pixel 7 because I was only getting 4 to 4 and a half hours of screen on time. Not sure if I got a defective one. Which was a shame because otherwise I loved it. By comparison, the iPhone SE 2022 I just got gets 6 hours of screen on time. Also, at half brightness on the SE 2022 it seems brighter than the pixel 7 at like 80 percent brightness. I think I’ll stick with the 6a and wait a few years for Google to better optimize the Tensor chip before getting a flagship pixel again.
Any Apple users thinking about trying the pixel 7 pro? I’m seriously considering a change
You should, android is 10x better than ios imo
Go for it, you won't regret it. Using voice to text to text this comment by the way
@@Dalvecc Yeah, the voice to text on the pixel is awesome. Been my 11th day on the pixel 7 pro and I love it.
If you have any issues with your usb port and out of warranty your phone is unrepairable. I have a pixel six and love it. The port is bad and i can only wireless charge. The port is attached to the motherboard and Google won't sell them . I'm semi disabled and have very limited income. I'm basically screwed. The pixel 7 and 8 is built the same way. Again love using the phone however it's a very poor design. I understand phone can break, at least make them repairable. A vast amount of other phones have a charging port that is on its own board and therefore repairable. Google won't sell me another motherboard so now I'm doing my best to warn others about this pathetic design.
How about scrolling issues
Love the phone but it does have some screen issues where it locks or doesnt come on until I hit the power button.
Gonna be biasedly honest. The 7 pro in WHITE is sexy!

I'm coming from a OnePlus 7Pro. The Pixel 7 Pro is eh... not too much better considering more than 3 years later of tech from a flagship company. Battery charging times are pathetic. The camera is better. That is about the only improvement I see. I did want that but wow. 3+ years and that's the only improvement? drat! Pinhole camera is dumb. No idea why folks don't like the popup kind. Way better.
