  • In this short teaching video from the Plum Village app plumvillage.app/ Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh talks about the last four exercises from the Sutra on Mindful Breathing (Anapanasati Sutta) to look deeply in order to shed light on the true nature of all dharmas (the objects of the mind).
Note: The contemplation of impermanence is included in another short teaching video, "Concentrating & Liberating Our Mind" ( • Concentrating & Libera... ).

Thank you so much for uploading and sharing these precious teaching of Thay. Sometimes I feel that all things never go as I wanted as I planned, I feel so bad and desperately about myself and my life. Leaning what Thay is teaching “stop craving, let it go and rising joyfully”

I have heard the wave and water explanation many times, but it seems like every time I hear it I find something new. So simple yet so complicated.

It reminds me of the 2 bird situation. There's a bird doing his bird stuff on a branch(The body). Then there's the 2nd bird who watches that bird(our mind). Then there's actually a 3rd bird...It watches everything with the highest indifference.

🙏🏻Thank you for the space to share and express. And Thank you for reading and being with this 🙏🏻🌸📣 🌸🙏🏻📣The cross over from everything nothing to vibrational manifestation distinguished by animation within vibrational realities. Is in itself all me. You are me and I am you as well. Every expansion towards well being-ness of all inclusiveness is made up. It’s as if we are frame by frame the animated evidence of divine expansion inclusion and evolution into infinite unity harmony and cohesive inclusive existence. We still have to do what is already done with no less care and expedition than unbridled momentum of supreme demand. Everything already happened and we are the prime animated content in frames living it out manifest within boundaries of individual focus possibilities. leaving no flavor or shade aside. the process of refinement is infinite. So every frequency of manifestation is exercised. Until each boundary of existence within these frequency realities is played out to its full expansion. Reveling the basic faults and limitations for corrective prescribed alterations for the re-birthing of everything nothing from chaos to harmony’s full possibility of completeness of every nature in structure of existence within all frequencies’ realities as created to complete and equivocate everything nothing and it’s cradle and practices for existence. I am the evidence of expansion in action via my life and living it out. I am a servant of living. I am alive from all forms of self I can be nothing else. No over-layered interpretations hold water. I am everything nothing along with everything nothing else. 🙏🏻🌸 bless-all-ways

I really like Thay alot. The only thing I am not sure about is concentration and contemplation. Since I am practicing Transcendental Meditation 6 years ago taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi concentration and contemplation is considered something really stressfull if it is done by every minute. Thats why it is being sad that it creates alot of stress. What is the standpoint of Mindfulness with stress? Thats the only thing what I am not sure about. But I agree with 99% of what Thay teaches, because I like him alot.

I have not learned TM before. I learn basics of meditation from Buddhism. What I get is, being stressed comes from holding onto something too tightly, perhaps too attached to a certain result or idea. The quality of concentration can be more “loose” or relaxed, if that makes sense? The middle path is in the central of Buddhist teaching - not too tight, not too loose. Practicing that in itself is mindfulness. You can rest when you’re tired, like letting your mind wander and do its own thing. But even that can be done with mindfulness, i.e. having some degree of awareness in the background observing it as it happens.
