I already made a request from ladies of soul (or 2 requests of them, don't remember...At least the Aretha Franklin Medley). You will love this I am sure of it, so can't wait for that reaction. Candy is in ladies of soul too! Ladies of soul consist of Glennis Grace (who you know already), formerly Trijntje Oosterhuis (who you know already), Candy Dulfer (who you got to know in this video), Edsilia Rombley (who has been seen in some beste zangers video's but you haven't seen her sing yet), and Berget Lewis (who I will add a request for now so you can find out more bout her as well).

Candy used to play with Prince a lot. I have seen them live on stage several times. She is the daughter of also famous sax player Hans Dulfer.
And you have probably heard. Candy Dulfer and Dave Stewart - Lily was here. That was a big hit here in the late eighties.
Dave Stewart was the male half of the Eurythmics.
I still love that song, it came out when I was a kid, and it was the first song I kept playing on repeat for weeks.

Candy is one of the famous ones, and i mean among other musicians globally.
She might not be familiar to the general public.. which allows her to live a pretty normal life but... she played with and for the big boys.
Big names like Prince (Check out "Partyman" video.. and whenever you hear a Sax on his records, it's Candy), who was a huge fan of her or Dave Steward (Eurythmics) with who she had a global #1 hit called "Lily was here", furthermore she worked with people like Van Morrison, Maceo Parker, Sheila E., Mavis Staples, Lionel Richie, Beyoncé, Pink Floyd, Chaka Khan, and the Queen of soul herself Aretha Franklin.
So yeah.. she done a few things hehehe, she also has a famous Dad who also happens to be a top class Sax player, Hans Dulfer who primarily plays Jazz and who is pretty much as famous as she is, but then its in the world of Jazz.
I've seen Hans and Candy play together several times in my home town, we have a event called Jazz weekend and one bar always manages to get Hans to play, and occasionally his daughter tags along and plays a few songs with him. (together they are fire!! lol)
So yes, do check out more Candy, she pops up in the most unlikely places hehehe (as you can tell from the people i listed she worked with.. and thats just a few, she worked with many others)

Candy is one of the best saxofoon players in the world. She toured for years with Prince. But she wanted after a few yeart to go back to the Netherlands. We love real music with real instruments in the Netherlands.
All the Dutch ones you do I already know, and you say all we (well I) wanna hear. So keep on going with that! 🤘

Candy is such a long time famous . i remember her from when i whas young men . i think mid 90tis so almost 30 years. Her father was Hans Dulfer and whas a saxofoon artists 2. Bud Candy playd even whit the big PRINCE . search that one up. Haha 🙌❤ jacco from Holland

She is a vriend of Glennis Grace. She plays the sax as easy as she speaks. Glennis did some Whitney Houston Tribute concerts and I have been there. Candy played with Prince. There is a story that he has said. If you need hot sax, call Cindy.

I am a great fan of Candy Dulfer and I liked Waylon (now I am also one of his fans), but I never heard/saw them together. Thank you man, to introduce this combination to me.
If you enjoy Candy you should check out pick up the pièces on YT. The first part is a great improvisation duet, between Candy and the fantastic trumpet/bugel player of her band and the piece ends with an iconic "battle" between Candy's sax and her drummer. This marvelous drummer had to work really hard. At the end he was sweating like a pig and Candy was still cool. In the background you can see the other musicians enjoying themselves and in awe. Everyone: Candy and the drummer, the other musicians and the audience were totally into the music.
For me: it was real music from start to end. Dedication, enjoyment, emotion, skills of the craft of making music. In this piece the music really comes from the toes (Dutch expression).
By the way I truly love it that you do not limit yourself to singers. Many times instruments are so much more than only supporting the singer. Sometimes, you just do not need words but a sax (trompet, piano) to get to the emotions. Words, in some instances, can even be a barrier.

Yeah, i already posted some Candy Dulfer stuff you should check out in the past when you did Glennis Grace, since they did quite some nice stuff together.
Where it all began was "Lily Was Here" that was written by Dave Stewart from the Eurythmis, and i think Candy was just 17 at that point. This is a good newer live version :
