XuV is clearly a Luxury Vehicle meant for city and intercity travel. While Scorpio N is for Recreational purpose. On an average families are not more than 5 per car for travel so boot space is not much of a compromise. These days most families own cars so travelling in groups is preferred for comfort. While XuV demands the price tag for luxury and creature comfort, Scorpio demands the same price tag for mechanical build it has got over XuV.
Roughly, the gimmicky features are rarely used, but on practical features front both cars have all that’s needed for a day to day city or long drives.
My father own a Scorpio N Z8L Diesel Auto 4xplor, have a Tata Sumo (28 years old). Absolutely loved the old Safari but the new one just doesn't give justice to the OG Safari.
Regarding the comparison Scorpio does give you that rugged feeling, sitting inside as well as on rough roads. XUV will give you a luxurious feel like no other in the segment.
Planning to get the XUV for myself, well said the interior experience of XUV is impressive 💯💯

After watching endless videos on both cars finally decided to go for XUV700 amazing interior and feel is quite awesome...my first choice was ScorpioN but after taking a look at XUV my mind changed completely for those who are looking for rugged vehicle go for Scorpio
I'm taking scorpio. The cabin is quieter. Trust me you'll appreciate it. Xuv700 had too much suspension noise in the cabin. And on good roads, scorpio will make you feel like you can't feel the road. That good cabin insulation is

Very genuine review, XUV for city and N for Hilly terrain.
Hypothetically if I consider that Mahindra provides all the features which are available in XUV700 to Scorpio N...including same diesel engines with same power output, definitely Scorpio N would be costlier than XUV 700. I don't know why Mahindra forcefully introduced Scorpio N with lower power tune in Diesel varients....this is just ridiculous. Scorpio N is an amazing vehicle...a genuine RWD with proper 4×4 options unlike FWD(optional AWD) crossover XUV 700.
Hands down best SUVs in the class TATAs need to learn from Mahindras.

SCORPIO N IS AN SUV WHILE XUV 700 is a seven seater softroader,even behind innova crysta in terms of real drivability.
Most SUV buyers today don't even know that a suv needs to have rear wheel or 4 wheel drive otherwise ,it's just a big hatchback or muv with tall ground clearance. Scorpio N biggest USP is nothing other than its 4wd or rear driveterrain which makes it a real deal if someone wants to travel on hill,altitude,snow,muddy swaps and deserts.It will be pleasurable to drive.
XUV 700 is a great choice,If it's gonna be a city and highway car. AWD is a joke,trust me it's not even as capable of Scorpio rwd variants.
Performance isn't only about flat road acceleration.Luxury is not about only playing with features.
Real things are more necessary than electronics.

I am from West Bengal . I had a XUV 500 W10 , when I drive it on highway with 100+ speed that under body of the car gets touched with the big size speed breakers when 7 people siting in the car. Is there will be the same problem with XUV700 ? My BOLERO ZLX and SCORPIO CLASSIC have no this problem. So what will be better for me XUV700 or SCORPIO N ?

No suspension noise, road noise, compared to xuv. Drove both side by side and can definitely say the feel is better in scorpio
Not really. We did drive both back to back. The difference is negligible even though the XUV700 we had on test was significantly older than the ScorpioN.

@@cardekho it's not negligible. It's quite apparent. Scorpio is much more silent, especially till wind noise enters where both are same. But at City speeds (till 80) nvh of Scorpio is way better than xuv. Rest ride and all I agree
Very much confused selecting in between z8 diesel auto or ax7 diesel auto… al thé required features are covered in z8 auto but i felt comfort in ax7 auto… but i need to stretch my pocket gor 3.5 L for ax7 auto
Depends on where you’re likely to use it. If it’s limited to city and good highways, the XUV700 feels like better value. If rough road usage is high, consider the Scorpio.

I am upgrading from Mahindra quanto. Booked both the cars xuv700 ax5 Diesel manual or scorpio n z6 disel manual. ( My scorpio n is in introductory price Under 25k) still confused which one i should buy. After test drive i like scorpio n slightly better by it's driving position but xuv700 looks far better.

XUV 700 is king in this segment. Scorpio n can't compete with XUV 700. Xuv 700 is a premium product of mahindra but Scorpio n is not premium like XUV 700. Xuv 700 is more comfortable than scorpio n.
