Mahindra used to source engines from Peugeot but they decided to get free from any dependency on global giants. They started with their tractor engines in earlier versions of commander and Bolero even today in their pick-up lineup. 2 2 m-hawk is developed with the help of Australian truck manufacturers but it's under the licence of Mahindra. It delivers excellent performance as well as mileage. Engine size is big therefore it eliminates the turbo lag which exists in smaller cc diesel engines lesser than 2L. It's a very hardcore engine which performs in many big trucks in Australia also in very hard core off-road vehicles. It's a Mahindra's gift to the world.

@@pritamnagpure3944 I just returned from a 3k km trip from Rajasthan, I was getting an average of 16.6, I have a manual-diesel. I was topping 150+ at times, going through villages, rush in the major cities and averaging 100 on all expressways, I'd say 15+ is anytime damn decent!!
If someone drives even better, they could get a good 17+ . Mighty impressive for an engine this powerful and a loaded vehicle running with fully utilised air conditioning.

Sunroofs/panaronic sunroofs are the most stupid feature for hot Indian conditions, that glass on the roof not only makes the car top heavy, its heats up the cabin like a bitch in summers.
I wish we would get an option where customers can still get the top model but without a sunroof or a Panaromic sunroof

There is no competition for Mahindra. No one makes suvs like Mahindra. 🔥
Panoramic sunroof is ok but on peak summer experience the both vehicles you feel XUV 700 as hot hub whereas Scorpio N is very cool in hot summer. Further its drive comfortability is next level. I did both test drives in peak summer in last year with my family member all are selected Scorpio N so now I am proud owner of Scorpio N Z8 Diesel Automatic. I tried Tata Safari also but its ride quality doesn’t match with Scorpio n.

According to me dct offers more sporty performance and you will love to drive. For me I'll prefer dct over ivt. ivt is smart and smooth but it's complicated and repair will be costlier too.
If you are selecting verna in your list then may be you love to drive. Plz go for a test drive according to your need. Otherwise I'll regret in future

Another synonym for suv is Scorpio n. RWDs have the real feel one can make donuts, drifts etc. Any day my preference would be a real suv than FWD monocoque car. SUVs are meant to have mechanical features rather than too much electronics.
