I had two of these cuties growing up, from the time I was 8 until I was 16. Howie and Hagar. Some of the sweetest, most playful, loyal dogs I've ever had. Since then I've had mainly German Shepherds and both breeds are so close to my heart!
My DDB, Dexter, passed on September 9. He was 6.5 yrs and was beginning to limp badly which was found to be osteosarcoma (bone cancer). He truly was the most wonderful guy in the world and was loved and gave love beyond belief. Dexter was so kind and gentle, growing up with 5 Pomeranians as part of his family. I've been an absolute wreck since he left as he truly was everything to me. When I watched your video today, I had constant streams of tears. But they were of joy and love. So many beautiful, wonderful DDB's!! I'm not a religious person but... this is what heaven looks like!

I lost my beautiful boy that was a dogue a few years ago to something similar and I cried every day morning (drive to work) & night (drive back from work) for nearly a year and struggled to talk about him etc..I’ve had a 2 more dogues since & have 1 remaining.. their is some about these real life teddy bear dogs that humans connect with..I call it the avatar”soul tie” once you connect with them you connect forever! God made them for a reason. 👍🙏🇦🇺
My DDB BillyBob lived until 8 with the same cancer on his hip, I was gutted he passed on his 8th birthday, we had a home full of DDB and Bulldogs, he was the last DDB, 18 months since and I miss them terribly, just 3 Bullies left, 2 old boys 8 and 9 and a young girl.of 2 we rescued 😢😊
I miss my dog the bordeaux and I still dream of him. Even after 8 years. I found him in a shelter and he was flesh over bone. He was left in a forrest, possibly due to the costs of an alergic reaction. I've trained the lovely dog, he was such a good dog, gave him salmon and sweet potatoes, and he became strong! But it was the best one. It even came to me when the baby of a visitor was crying and walked to the baby with the look of, you have to help the baby. The dog died when he was 8,5 years old. I think he really enjoyed living with me. He just needed a little help on his nutrition intake. They wanted to put him to sleep 2 days after I saw the dog in the shelter, he was in such bad condition. He was 4 years old when I got him.
Really ..I am SO happy your as you are that those BOYS are safe and sound. Thank You. I will never fail my BOYS as they eat better than I do. We are loading up for a hunting weekend and I will be in touch.
Lovely dogs! Are they decent guard dogs? Meaning, they’ll protect you if need be? Not aggressive though, but they have good judgement of knowing who is a real threat and would act on it?
Very nice! George here is coming up to 7 at the end of July this year (2022), despite the Vet saying he might not make it past 6 due to his heart condition (the dog, not the vet lol!). He also has a large epilus inbetween his top teeth which have now seperated and been pushed either side - it's now about the size of a brussel sprout. Vet said too dodgy knocking George out due to heart condition (Aeortic stenosis), plus the dogs age. But, he's still eating fine and on the medications, still pulls like a train and throws his toys around like a puppy. I know the average life span is 5-8 years, but CRIKEY!, one of your videos shows a *10* year old Dogue! Is that a rare case, or are they now living longer than the old (outdated?) estimate. Y'know, with better foods/dietary, veterinary care etc? All the ones I've known have passed away at 4, 5 and 6 years old (not in that order). I keep expecting George to just keel over when out on a walk due to the heart, but he just keeps going. Given his history, I think he's high on a decent life now and doesn't want to leave it any time soon... All the best with drool and slobb from this Dogue to yours.
Wow 🤩 they are amazing you obviously take really good care of them, which is a lot of hard work. My husband and I recently rescued a DDB who is 3years and a couple of months old, called Sebastian. He’s gorgeous and we love him so much. We always wanted one and decided now Jazz (Jug breed) is nearly 13 we should get one to help us when she goes. She’s so patient with him and has really helped him as he suffers with anxiety. He came to us with no proper training, zero recall, pulls on the lead and hasn’t been neutered so is to frisky with the other dogs. Do you have any tips for us as we are new to the breed? He hadn’t had any injection since they had him as a pup, he was under weight 47kg and had a ear infection which I’ve sorted. He also has a kink in his tail not sure about that one? I’ve got him on Tails food which is tailored made for the breed and we are having some training at some point just letting him settle first. He’s getting less anxious he’s so loving we adore him. Out of all your Bordeaux’s are they all protective? I’m wondering if all of them are naturally protective of there territory or if there is a gentle giant that loves everyone and wouldn’t react if seeing you facing an attacker? Because I read that they are great protective dogs. I just got my Bordeaux puppy today he is so cute. He has a stubborn personality and he is loving and playful but only on his terms lol it’s funny. I like that they have a calm demeanor and confident demeanor about them. Sad that they have short life spans but I don’t care they are worth every cent. I named him Cujo 😎
I'd say if something was happening then they would all be naturally protective, but the reaction would be different between the different dogs if that makes sense, some would just bark as a deterrent, while others would chase the threat away.

Who says? That is only 72kgs and a fair few of ours weigh more than that. I assume you are not from the UK? US Bordeaux are alot smaller, and we gave no upper weight limit as long as the substance and proportions are correct.
Dogue de Bordeaux puppies are the cutest puppies in the entire world. I miss my Dogues. Extremely loyal and great with kids.

I had female DDB.. SHe died at almost 10y old.. MY hart broken at half.:BEst dog I ever had..She was 45kg of pure Goodness.
