Just another 'franchise' for hollywood to dig up from the grave and ruin , they run out of movies from 80s and 90s. Endless sequels, prequels, remakes, reboots.... recycling old movies and old ideas because they have no original ideas today, complete lack of creativity.... there will be nothing from this generation to remake, nothing to remember.
I hate to say but I think often you’re very right! Seems like there’s less and less original IP that draws in big crowds, I really hope there’s some kind of way to make this change :(

Would love something original, even if there's some gladiator arena parts, surely it can follow something a bit more significantly different in terms of overall narrative journey of the main protagonist, but it really doesn't look like they've done much different from the trailer!

Agreed, I only saw the original recently but it’s just that epic!!!! And the fact that so much of it is practical effects as well makes it even better

I think that what Rome did best was battle's and revenge looks good to me. Also, I went to see Gladiator not knowing the hell Russell Crowe was.
Haha and now all these years later he's in Thor Love and Thunder 💀 Revenge arc in the original movie was SO GOOD
