When David is not running an advertising and marketing company, his hobby is The Bond Experience which is primarily a video blog where he discusses Bond experiences and the people and brands that help to create those experiences...
The mantra of living like Bond, one moment at a time emanates from a concept of experiencing the joy of collecting small moments in life that add up to amazing journeys and stories....whether it's through style, locations, literature, fitness, and the movies themselves the world of Bond is explored through its people and their stories.

This is the ultimate dream for any bond fan, and you've just lived it david. You lucky bugger haha.
They made it so wonderful, I have to say!
Your sentiments at the end of the video about Goldeneye being magic is quite true. By curious quirk of fate we arrived there at something like 1AM - pitch black, disoriented and tired. My wife woke up early the next morning and pottered into the kitchen to make coffee - but came rushing back in, urgently she emploring, "Wake-up, wake-up. You have to see this!" Thinking there was something terribly wrong I followed as she rushed out to the stone patio - and it was the view that she so urgently wanted me to see. I was spectacular. But it wasn't just the view. It was something for all the senses. The view, the sound of the waves gently crashing onto the rocks of the grotto, the feel of the morning heat against your skin, and that unmistakable taste of the Blue Mountain coffee as we took it all in.
The second part which I also agreed with, is that the overwhelming sense of 'the place' that is so wonderfully disarming. The trick is to let the vibe take over. To say Jamaica is laid back is an understatement, but tapping into that vibe is hugely rewarding. I had many side trips planned to other parts of the island, but when the reality set in that would mean being away from Goldeneye for the whole day, it suddenly didn't make sense. Just being there was everything.
As you said, I'm sure the Goldeneye team will take care of you on another visit. They are all wonderful and treated us so very well. When you finally get in the Fleming Villa you'll just appreciate it that much more.
One love.
Loved hearing about your adventure as well...the VIBE is a real thing.
Such an amazing and awesome tour of GoldenEye, thank you and thank you so much for your kind words David! It was wonderful to host you and Danielle and we hope to welcome you back very soon again, and to see the Fleming Villa next time. Much love from us all...from GoldenEye & Jamaica!
It was truly a magical tour and trip for us...!
Thank you for all your efforts with this, the time to walk us through the resort and a real view of Flemings home. I am not sure I will ever get there, but I do love what you shared!
Thank you so much...!
The Mecca of Bond fans. Absolutely stunning place to stay. No sign of Ursula Andress?
I looked for her! :)
Under the Mango tree... my honey & me ...
Everything about this...
totally captures the feel and that special aura of Ian Fleming and James Bond.....pure magic!
Lucky man, David - well deserved!!
Enjoy!
Thanks John....it really does capture the Bond magic.
Let's just imagine it's grey, cold, dreary London back in 1952 and you travel to Jamaica to write a book... another place added to the bucket list!
in a place like this you wake up as early as possible to have as much time to take it all in
FYI meeting Chris Blackwell would be even a greater thrill for me since I'm a MASSIVE Ska fan. He was instrumental in brining original Ska to popularity in the 60's in the UK. Island Records for me was a huge part of my childhood, Bob Marley, Roxy Music, the Cranberries, Brian Eno, PJ Harvey, Annie Lennox, U2 and Pulp just to name a few. Meeting and talking with him must have been epic! Without him I don't know if there would have been the Jamaican music craze in the 70's and without that we not have had Punk, post punk, new wave or 2 Tone ska music, so that man is historically amazing! Did you recorded your talk with him?
Not this time....but there will be a Part 2!
@@joanne26 Me too! The Beat, Selector, The Specials, The Skatalites. It also got me into the old stuff like Prince Buster and Jackie Opel. I know a lot of people don't appreciate the Dr No soundtrack album but it's my favorite because of Byron Lee and the Dragonaires. The Dr. No album is all old school ska!
You are a great story teller! Love your passion and articulate descriptions and your humor!
I just revisited this video. After being at Goldeneye 4 months ago, this really brings back all those walks, swims, food, and drink.
What an amazing place to look at and then you also got yourself a breakfast date with a lovely furry friend. Thanks for sharing all this beauty.
LOL....Bizo the cat is a star!
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for this. Don't be ashamed of plugging the watch, it looks great 👍
Thanks for this video. When my wife and I took a trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica almost 6 years ago for our honeymoon, I was excited when I learned we were within a short drive of Goldeneye. We didn't make it there, but like you, maybe I can return to Jamaica and see Goldeneye (and Appleton distillery). Glad I found your channel
I've always wanted to visit here. I showed the video to my wife. She just surprised me booking GoldenEye for our 13th anniversary this summer!
So absolut gorgeous. I'm sooo jealous!!
This is wonderful. Thank you 😊 Love this video. You’ve given a wonderful feeling of what it’s like to visit there. Watching it has been a mini holiday from the pandemic.
Amazing David! Fantastic video, wonderful experience. And what a great dinner you must have had with Danielle overlooking the ocean and Fleming's villa on candle light! Amazing! Defenitely a bucket list thing I must pursue too! Hats off my friend! 😄
OMG! Thanks for showing the place and, specially, for sharing such a heartfelt account of your personal experience. Certainly a bucket list essential.
This was truly beautiful, thank you for this David!
Amazing...thank you for this virtual holiday...we couldn’t see the Fleming Villa for the same reason when we visited 14 years ago and left with exactly the same feeling...a great excuse to go back!
I am determined to go back....! :)
Great video! No wonder Mr Flemming was so inspired. It's a wondrous and tranquil piece of earth.
Happy you were able to experience it and share with us
My pleasure!
Wow that was beautiful and amazing
Absolutely phenomenal. Well done David!!
Much appreciated!
Wow!!! Best video ever! the epitome of Bond mania this is!
Very kind of you to say!
Thank you for posting this tour, such an amazing and inspirational pace, it’s definitely in the bucket list. Look forward to seeing the Fleming room when you get back there. Thanks again
I went to visit the Arecibo Observatory when I visited Puerto Rico. Just because I saw it in Golden Eye. 😂 It was Awesome
Nice!
I wish I knew about this place when I went to Jamaica. I loved visiting Jamaica - it was wonderful and the people were so welcoming. I can see why Fleming moved there.
He moved there because he was a spy for Britain
Thank you for sharing!! Love this! Can't wait to experience this beautiful place!
You will love it!
Feels like I've been waiting for this video for ages. Would love to go here one day. Thanks David
They will welcome you with open arms!
Your positivity and eloquent narration of your trip was so heartfelt and a joy to listen to + watch. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!
One of your absolute best.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for creating this video David for the rest of the fans, of what was obviously an amazing experience. Looking forward to your return for Part 2 - The Fleming Villa!!
A perfect name for the video!
Wonderful coverage
Thank you so much!
I just booked my first trip to goldeneye. So looking forward to it
Beautiful video buddy love it
Wonderful David
Very, very jealous, and I live in Bermuda. Thank you for the video, definitely keeping this on my bucket list!
Wanna trade places !? I have an obsession with Bermuda 💞How incredible it must be to live there!
One of the best videos on your channel David. We all want to visit GoldenEye it's Bond's spiritual home and you took us there. Thank you so much for that!
Love it here ! 8/22
Loved the video David. I was fortune enough to visit Jamaica in 2019 (round hill resort) and the one huge take away which I think you encapsulated so well in the video is the beauty of the island and the amazing people. Great job!
Too true!
Well done David - great tour, glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks so much!
Looking forward to this one!
Enjoy!
It looks almost like they've made it into a Disneyland resort, unfortunately. I visited in 1990. I was staying in Ocho Rios, rented a motorcycle, and explored until I found the real deal. Down a dirt road - the small brick pillars topped with brass pineapples - and the plaque that read GOLDENEYE. It was being rented - but between rentals. I just walked in and explored the grounds and the house - until one of the maids asked who I was and what I was doing. I explained, and she left me alone to explore!!! I stood at the window the Great Man would have looked out upon the sea from as he wrote. I walked the lawn down to the stone steps to the sea where he swam and snorkeled between chapters. And when I left, I met a very old woman whose house was on the main road just up from Fleming's place and she told me stories of when Mr. Fleming and Noel Coward would meet at her home for drinks in the evenings. She had all the Bond books, signed...and several Coward hand-written music sheets - also signed to her. It was my pilgrimage to Mecca. A day I will never forget. It's wonderful that it is still there - and I'm so glad you got to experience the uniqueness that is that area of Jamaica. But I am SO happy that I got to see it and experience it as it was in Fleming's time. Isolated. Unique. Perfection.
Incredible! Thanks for all your sterling efforts David :-).
With pleasure...with pleasure.
This was great
Really awesome David! So glad you did this! Amazing!
Thanks so much!
wonderful and inspiring
Thanks so much!
Revisiting all your videos after watching NTTD
Lovely video David with very personal reflections which made it special. The place looks just beautiful. Great atmosphere to go with the Dr No book club reading. Visuals to go with the reading experience. Thank you
It all seemed to blend together wonderfully!
Awesome David! I’m literally planning a trip right now!
Thanks for sharing this! Hope to be able to actually experience it one day.
I am sure you will!
Ive stayed here once for a couple of nights. Incredible place and service. I got to walk around Ian Flemming villa but only after a lot of arm twisting
Thank you David for putting yourself though all this just to bring us great content, your hard work and suffering is greatly appreciated,
Too kind of you to say! Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m not really a resort person, but this is now on my wishlist.
Obviously, not visiting the villa must be tough, but it’s good to see you didn’t let it overshadow the experience. I’m sure you’ll get another chance!
100%!
The first 'first person's experience I haven't felt motion sickness from. Very well done 👏
I always enjoy the travel videos the most, and this is the best to date. Even better than Cortina.
I am going to be in Ocho Rios in January and really want to visit Goldeneye, especially after seeing your video.
An amazing video David. So nicely put together. My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a day visiting Goldeneye last year on our Honeymoon and seeing some of the same spots in your video of where we were, brought back such great memories. Thank you for sharing. In closing I must say...I know how you felt with being so close to getting in the Fleming Villa. With me being a life long Bond fan, I was itching to get to see it too, but it also wasn’t available at the time! Hopefully next time. Keep up the great work on the Bond Experience channel.
Amazing video david. Magic place. Ian flemming was smart man living there.
Wow!! So cool David!! Love that you met Chris Blackwell. What a legend in the music world. Great tour. Can’t wait to visit Goldeneye!
He truly is!
✨💖✨Fantastic...this is a wonderful video! ✨💖✨
Thanks so much!
Thanks for this David. I'm going to save up and go! Beautiful video.
You will LOVE it!
Bungalow 45 just became the most booked venue at GoldenEye... to get the full Bond Experience !
Thanks for sharing Goldeneye with us, it looks amazing. Will have to try Blackwell's rum sometime. Sometime soon...
It's an amazing rum!
Okay, I know what I'm saving up for. I absolutely have to go there!
Went there about ten years ago. Before Blackwell bought it. was just the Villa and 4 Huts. Really cool place. They showed us the huts where Harrison Ford stay and hut where Johnny Depp stayed. We were staying at Sandals Ocho Rios and went to tour it. Made off like we goin to vacation there. Made us drinks and met the bartender who has been there since Fleming was alive. Really out of our price range. It really is a Bond Mecca !!
This is awesome! The place is beautiful. Years ago I saw a video with the future plans of the place and I was a little worried that they would overdevelop it and turn it into some sort of "Bondland". I'm happy to see that they kept it very simple and rustic in keeping with the surroundings and the tradition of the location. I can't wait to get there. I showed my wife just the website and she was sold. Hopefully in a year or 2 we will be there. Thank you so much for providing this wonder experience!
Alex, it's YOUR type of place....and a great motivator to sing Underneath the Mango tree!
@@TheBondExperience Hahaha! I know you did it whether you videoed yourself or not. You know I'll do it when I get there. We'll see about the video but I do it everytime I'm in a tropical place. Last time it was in Costa Rica. Thanks so much man you did a great job! My wife loved this video as well but now she knows I'm a "Bond lifestyler" Can't wait to see some more of your Jamaica!
1:52 the bird song! Oh, man! It sounds amazing!
So clear!
Lol they start at 4 am
Thank You David for providing this video you really made feel like I’m in your shoes especially when this is a Bucket List Trip.
You'd love it, Brian!
V Cool Tour!
...James Bond will Return...
amazing stuff David, hope to make it there someday
I bet you will!
Great video! Will have to go there when things cool down a bit.
100% you and Lotten would love it...
This is a great video. I learned a lot about Goldeneye from watching this.
Excellent....and I am sure your OWN journey will be spectacular!
My Word David. That meal with Danielle. THE Bond Experience. You will never top that my friend👌
It's going to be hard, for sure!
Thank you for this AMAZING tour, David!! Awesome videos as always! :)
EDIT: 4:53 what a GORGEOUS view!
Agreed!
You’re a Legend
Fantastic tour of Goldeneye. Definitely gets a 5 star rating of approval from me 🌟
Literally a paradise on earth where some of us mere mortals will never be able to afford to visit, so thanks David Zaritsky for making some of us dream.
BTW, looked like the cat from the Another James Bond Podcast at the 26 minute mark 😅 🐈
LOL! Maybe so!
Wow! I must admit I did Not expect you to have visited and not seen the villa. Goodness me. But a wonderful response to the upsetting of plans and expectations sir. $9k/night though!! I visited Goldeneye in 1989 before it became a resort and was just a home. I say, just. But I did manage to sneak around the grounds, take some pictures of the house and see the private beach and the pagoda. In itself, amazing.
Super Bericht und klasse Video 👍
Thank you!
Incredible video David; can't wait to visit Goldeneye with my wife someday. Most important takeaway is the way you handled the disappointment of not entering the Fleming Villa. That's going to stay with me for a while.
Thank you for saying so.... :)
F##k! You just added me another box to tick in my bucket list! Stunning place!
I´m in Love!!!
We were in your villa on the lagoon I think, #7. I mean 007😉
Had a great time and just sailed on the Hobi Cat.
The Saturday Buffet dinner with the bonfire and fire spewing dancers was great!
Fantastic genuinely felt like I was there while watching this video, thanks for sharing hope to go there next summer ,can't go this year cause I got the watch ,I got the watch , sorry I'm telling everyone hahhaa .
Thanks for the tour, it was great! Chris Blackwell was in the French news recently because one of his ex companion died, Nathalie Delon who was the ex wife of actor Alain Delon.
Brilliant - I'm going (when they let me out of my country).
Well done David, great attitude btw, DZ will return in...
Exactly!
David: so you sold me. I'm going next week. Question: what's the policy on tips? Do it tip the house staff? The driver from the airport? I ask because in some Jamaican resorts, staff can be fired for accepting tips. Also--what's the appropriate amount for the airport driver? Thanks!
We tipped at the end of our stay, and yes the staff. Tips are appreciated. Please let them know when you book that you have enjoyed our videos on their resort....and most of all, have a GREAT time!
It is my goal to visit here before I die. It will happen.
You will do it!
Looks amazing and I remember it well. I went in 2004 and was given a tour of the Fleming villa? Is that still a thing?
Thank you for all of the Bond content! Traveling in a few weeks, obviously going to read a Bond adventure, probably going to re-read Trigger Mortis or try another John Gardner....Anyone have any suggestions for Gardner novels? (other than Licence Renewed) Thanks!
Sounds like a great trip!
Fleming villa is Valued at one NTTD SEAMASTER a Night.
Really? so a 15 minute look might be a Bollinger after all...
It Looks Exquisite there David....thanks for sharing this with us 👍
Technical question David: As a keen walker. I'm curious to know what did you use to film this & was it with a gimbal ?. For a walking video its really very smooth indeed.
Ah thank you...no gimbal...simply a grip that goes onto my iphone 12....the iphone 12 stabilizes things nicely tho!
I would be on that balcony drinking latte in the morning
I would like to know what fragrance Ian Fleming liked to use. I think that It is written in his first book as the perfume that James Bond used.
Seems like they mispelled Vesper's name.. 🧐Would love to visit this place though.. great place to save up for!
They did it after their name, which is Lyn. They own that Villa :-)
@@neeniesfitlife413 Ah, thanks for rectifying!
"First learn stand, then learn fly."
Mr. Miyagi
Great video. I'd give my teeth to be there, rather than in lockdown in cold bloody Scotland. Quick question: What tech did you use for the 'virtual reality' shots? Tres impressive!
Believe it or not...just my iphone12
