Excellent. Wheels make a lot of sense. LIke the Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell. Wheels that can be deployed when needed and fold out of the way when the stability of feet are needed.
@@matviyk3066 I thought that too at first and the engineer I bounced the idea off said that electric motors would use a bit of juice to resist the push of the foot on the ground thus being less efficient than just lock the wheel with a pin or a brake of some kind. Tilting the wheel out of the way could provide better footing and use less power, but it would also change the dynamics of the leg which the software would have to account for, so probably just freezing the wheel with a pin and a solenoid would be the go given all the machine learning for the gait pattern would remain the same. I believe this is a rendering. Reasons: 1. Camera jitters along with the dog as it struggles over the fencing. A human wouldn't do that, nor a drone, nor a human with a stabilizing gimbal. You only see that in video games and renderings with virtual cameras. 2. Vinyl/leather couch doesn't flex under the weight of the wheels. 3. Looks to be in public spaces, but where are the people? 4. Disturbing lack of leaf movement in the trees, though one folded umbrella gets one very odd and unnatural looking rustle in the wind (during the skate park scene). 5. The tires never flex in contact with ground. 6. The focus and alignment on the center of the body is really smooth, aside from the jittering during the fence sequence. 7. The flailing of the legs as it falls or takes a jump is unnaturally rapid and jerky, with no apparent collision with the ground or resulting scratches. 8. The trellis in the fence doesn't look like it's constructed with real material. How is it affixed? Normally a trellis panel like that sits inside a groove/channel in the rail.
