This modular house even has a upstairs loft, with endless possibilities! The manufacturer for this modular house is Pennwest Homes. The model for this home is the "Pinewood Chalet." My dad had a buddy who bought a property in Logan, Utah 10 years ago and put a nice modular home on it, when that wasn't really a well-known home type (they were both in the manufactured homes industry) at the time. He spent roughly $350K on the land, landscaping, and home build...and it appraised, shortly after, for nearly $4M.
LoL. Yes, a cheap modular home appraised for 4mil. Because, someone would do that just to pay the extra taxes, much less find some appraiser dumb enough to say that a mobile home is worth $4 million. True story, right? Right?
@@baconoverlord7982 Sorry, I'll admit to a typo. It appraised for $1.4M and it wasn't a "cheap" modular home. The materials were extremely good for modular, and designed for harsh environments like upper North Dakota.
@@lynneftw Yes.. the difference between 1.4 mil and 4 mil is such a typo. Plus, there's no trailer home (sorry, "modular" home) that would be worth 1.4mil. But, true story.
@@baconoverlord7982 well you don't know how many acreas and buildings on site. I live in washington State looking at homes and I've ran across several mobiles, with garages barns and acreas for a million. 😳
@@baconoverlord7982 Evidently you don't understand the difference between a modular home and a mobile home, lolol. We're talking large pre-built sections to create a large home, 2 stories in this case. Entire multi-level hotels are made modularly in some places.

This, in my opinion, is an amazing home! I would make it my main residence, no lodge or lake home, just my permanent residence. Then I could imagine being on vacation all year around! Only thing I can see that is missing is the bench in the main shower. Cullen is adorable! Love seeing this cowboy!🥰

This chalet style house is fetching in its basic simplicity. It is light and airy with good outdoor spaces. I really like the separation of the living room space from the kitchen (finally!} and nary a barn door in sight!
Could not agree more with the separation between the living space and the kitchen. I prefer more defined living spaces.
Those sliding barn doors are such a horrible home design trend.

Not that I, or anyone, owes you an explanation, but I watch Chance's videos and dream. I'm in the latter part of my life now, lost everything in 2018, live in a raggedy camper, and have a broken down minivan. So, yeah, some people have everything. I'm just not one of them.
Oh yeah! Real fireplace! It would make fora nice vacation home. I can just see this thing resting somewhere between the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. If they already had it dressed up for Christmas. That would make it super nice.

This is fantastic house. It screams lake house or ski lodge. The upstairs area would definitely need to be finished off for more bedroom space because in the right location you would have loads of company! Thanks for the cameo appearance Cullen. You really rock.

I gave this a thumbs up because it’s hard work posting on UA-cam. I’m a contractor and 51 now and I’ve been in the construction business since I was 16. I don’t mean to be a naysayer on this video or talk down on my other brothers in the industry but modular homes are not all that good and I’ll tell you why. All the buyer sees is the finished product. In finish work, you can make anything look incredible. That’s why finish carpenters make the most in the industry. The problem is what lies underneath the finish work. Modular homes are built with the cheapest materials and the least amount of them on the market. Bar none. You can’t see that underneath nice hardwood floors, behind cabinets or underneath siding. Modular homes are built in sections in a warehouse using every little left over piece of scrap and put together like a giant model on site. Nothing gets wasted in the warehouse. The goal is to make a finished product with the least amount of cost, material and labor possible. It’s a business. With that underneath the finish work is where that is reflected. For instance. Take off the siding and you could have 5-6-7-8 pieces of sheathing in a 20sqft area of sidewall. It depends on what’s at hand. Ive seen it many times. I’ve actually ran into two modular homes where I pulled off the siding only to see sheathing without some sort of barrier separating the two. That’s actually against the law but people do it. I don’t think that was at the hands of the modular home manufacturer but it could be possible depending on their involvement in the build. None the less it shows how they’re being built out there. Every single modular home I’ve done interior wall work to has sparcly nailed Sheetrock (not screwed) being held down by adhesives like Liquid Nails to the studs. Underneith the Sheetrock, channels hammered out of the structural studs to run electrical with nail plates over the cutouts. No drilling holes through the studs to run the electrical properly. It literally looks like a jack job every time I see it. Over time, it’s guaranteed to fail and when it’s time to get fixed, not only do you have to replace the sheet rock but you have to get the adhesive off of the studs in order to do so. It’s a major pain in the ass and very expensive. Worst of all, the sections of the house that are put together on site to form the actual house in it’s entirety; are always off from each other. For example. The last modular home I worked on, I gutted the entire downstairs and turned it into an open floor plan. I had to use laminate beams to do it. The house wasn’t big. Only two sections downstairs and two sections upstairs. The difference in height on the first floor between the front section and the rear section was 3/4 of an inch. That’s pretty profound. That means the front of the house was 3/4 of an inch lower than the back half of the house. That can’t be fixed without tearing the entire home apart, shimming the actual sections at the plates, making a new staircase and redoing most of the Sheetrock throughout the house so I have to do the shimming at the beam and leave the problem. I don’t like doing it but I do it. I’ve seen that on every single modular home that I’ve done structural work to. Every single home. Large modular homes are so much worse. You can have 8-10-12 sections that are that way. Try doing a complete floor revamping on something that off. It’s a nightmare. When you have a house built on site it’s just a much better built home in every aspect. I could go on forever but I won’t . I’m just giving my juststalt on this and you the home buyer can make your own decision. Good luck.

This is a great way to showcase the quality of affordable homes available in North Central West Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region. I really like this house. The deer antler fixture has to go and a ceiling fan there would be nice. I absolutely love the fact that it has a wood-burning fireplace and the loft is just so awesome along with the rest of the space to be finished.
I would not set this up as anything but, MY HOME! Just jaw dropping stunning. I could definitely put a 12' Christmas Tree on front of the window in the living room. Love it, love it, love it!!!!💓💓💓💓 Oh, did I mention, I LOVE IT? Thanks Chance
Finally…a modular home that you aren’t smacked in the face with a kitchen when you open the front door! I could look at that ceiling for days without blinking! Stone backsplash is a nice touch as well as the beams in the master bedroom. Love the shub. ❤️

This is my favorite home yet!! I adore the "Cabin" look. I would like a bit bigger pantry but its still workable. That huge room upstairs you could basically do anything with. Chance you got yourself a Real Handsome little Cowboy there!! So Adorable! God Bless Him!!
Make the landing to the loft a wall of bookcases, with one of them being a hidden door into a game room or office space. All that natural light from the windows is amazing, and I can already picture how I'd hang wreathes and garlands on the beams and landing. Amazing.

I love all of the wood and being able to see wood grain instead of paint. It is a beautiful home, and I could see this as a chalet on a ski slope. And Cullen is usual is just as cute as a button

I'd like to see a site-built home on Saturday night. And, yes, the turntable in the corner cabinet is called a Lazy Susan.
My faves in this home: the glass in the front door, all of the wood, stone backsplash, the kitchen is not within view of the front door, the hallway bathroom sink, the master bedroom closet is NOT in the bathroom (!) and the tile shower. Have no need for a shub (too hard to clean). I think I would use the upstairs as a second master with its own bathroom. Or, if the home is used as a vacation home, then some people may want a home office for those who can't completely get away from work for a family vacation.
I will say that vacation homes have come a long way over the years with some of the same upgrades as you have in your main home. Many of my cousins have had vacation homes over the years. They called them summer cabins and they were a definite downgrade from their main home but perfect for their intended purpose. Just basic cabins without any upgrades.
On the flip side, I have one cousin whose beach house is bigger and nicer than his main house.
Oh My is that Cullen the cutest little cowboy! This house is awesome, the rest of the loft would make a great craft room.

It’s not overwhelming, but still has enough space for visiting family. I also like the interior. It’s not too light or too dark.

I really liked this home. The rooms are arranged quite differently than most other homes, the pine wood is just beautiful, and the second floor has quite a view options. The home is certainly a winner to me.

I love the soaring wood ceilings, the spacious open layout, the beautiful finishes, the lovely but unpretentious master suite, and the bonus loft. I think I'd push that wall in the loft back a little and use the rear for storage and the front for office. And of course it needs to be overlooking a lake or river or bay! My only question is where do you put a TV?

Assuming it was to be a vacation home next to the ski slopes, a lake or the ocean, a TV would by and large be redundant, as you'd spend the majority of your waking hours enjoying the outside entertainment
@@scientchahming5 I live on the Chesapeake Bay now with beautiful views that i greatly appreciate. I walk the shoreline every day taking in the waves and the wildlife. It's my way of relaxing and I couldn't imagine not living by nature. But at night, I still like to watch a movie or show. So, unless you're building this exclusively as a weekend retreat, you're still going to want a TV to gather around in the evening and especially in the winter when it's too cold to be outside.

Beautiful home! It has the best kitchen layout of all of the homes I've looked at recently! I like the great room and fireplace. The deer antler light fixture is intriguing but I would probably not have it since it would be a dust catcher. Oh, the narrow cabinet in the kitchen--that's for your cookie sheets and racks that fold flat. Really thoughtful!

Welcome to WV. We went to all the Middletown home locations to tour houses when ours burnt down in 2020. This one and the small dark blue cape cod were our favorites. This home was $205,000 like it is, $255,000 for delivery and finished upstairs. We wanted to not have a mortgage, so we had the shell of our house built by modular and hauled in and we finished the interior ourselves. A lot of work for us, but no house payment. Hope you tour the other Middletown locations. They are a wonderful company.

The loft space would make a great bunk room. Room for six bunk beds, full bath, breakfast bar, and a small pool table. This is a little too open for my tastes, but it is very nice.

I've been dreaming about a cabin in the mountains or on the lake. It was beautiful. The view from the 2nd floor was perfect. I would use the unfinished room for guests or a work-out room.

Great weekend getaway home. For me, that upstairs would be a bunk room and bath for my 6 kids. While the secondary bedroom downstairs would be the home office, for running our business remotely.

The entry into this house is stunning. Love Love the chalet lodge. What happens at the Lodge, stays at the Lodge. Chance, home is really breathtaking. Love the unfinished 545 square feet off from the lioft.

This is a beautiful home with the exception of the 2 story living/dining room. I would rather see the upstairs go all the way across the home. Living in a colder climate and the way heat rises that would create huge heating costs in the winter. Cullen is sooooo cute and well mannered on film. You really should show more of him as well.

I am very fond of your organization with floorplan as you open the door. I pause there and make a note of features I want to watch for. Also I always know where I am throughout the whole tour. Lake - imagine overlooking a super fun body of water!
Beach - just put it on stilts and you're good to go in your tropical eutopia!
