- Hey everyone! Watch me dye my 4c hair red! NO BLEACH NEEDED!!!! 4c friendly :)
products used:
-3 boxes of l’oréal hicolor hilights (color: RED)
-3 boxes of l’oréal hicolor hilights (color: MAGENTA)
-40 volume developer
-vaseline
-mixing bowl
-dye brush
-hair clips to section hair
pro tip:
-apply dye to roots LAST
-mix equal parts developer and dye in mixing bowl
-rinse dye out with COLD water.
-deep condition after rising dye out to retain moisture in hair!

Hey! How long did it take for your hair to go back to it’s original color and state ? Did the 40 develop we mess up your curls ?
40 developer did not mess up my curls at all!
my hair won’t be back to it’s original color unless i completely grow it out

Waitttt it looked red when you was out in the sun showing us the shrinkage but then at the end it looked burgundy 😭😩 I’m so confused
Bri lol when i was inside the lighting was kinda dim so my camera didn’t pick up the true color of the red.
i don’t understand why my hair didn’t take color. i’ve try to dye my hair 2 times. the first time i did it, i did it wrong. i used a hair color that was meant for lighter colors. it didn’t take it. then, i did research and watched videos on, “how to dye your hair without bleach” every video said use developer and the L’Oréal hicolor products because they are meant for black hair. it didn’t even say i had to use developer on the box because it would work but i did it anyway. so, i thought for sure it was gonna work. i parted my hair, dye it little by little. starting at the end and working my way to the roots (since roots dye faster) and i then waited about 40 mins and NOTHING HAPPENED. please someone help me, i’ve tried dying my hair two times now and it has literally KILLIED MY HAIR. like, i rather have dead, colored hair that i spent my time doing then, dead, not colored hair and waste my time..
