A very Happy 72nd Birthday Nicholas Drain Lowe 24-03-49, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.. So talented... Singer, writer and producer. I love Rockpile.. Many more Nick.. Cheers. (hppy brthdy Nena too)

Great record Dave. Sounds as good today as when it was made. You really mafe of the best records ever. Thank you for enriching my life with your music.
Always Great to See. I went to Scotland/London as a teen to visit my my moms roots, second night in town the young guy i met coming off the plane invited me to Glasgow to dance, who was the band, Dave Edmunds and Rockpile oh what a night. Only taken with the sadness of Bonzo's passing the day before.
This Dave beauty came out in 1977. ... Jeff Lynne & ELO *must* have known about this beat when they created "Rock 'n' Roll Is King" in 1983(!). 🤔 ..Sound crazy similar !

underrated by whom? Not, come on he is rated! Top guitarist. Top singer. And still up here rocking us with songs like this. More popular than whom? Not many more guys in my book. I saw him perform once in Chicago, mainly doing his own acoustic. Wish he was still releasing hits or covers.
Massively underated. One of my favourite songs is 'Crawling from the Wreckage', oh, and then there's 'Girls Talk'. And do people still not rate him as a song witer and performer? WTFN?
I didn't know he was Welsh until a couple of years ago. He did USA-style rock & roll so well that I assumed he was American. Record sales there: almost nothing. Why? Perhaps the record companies thought Bob Seger had the genre covered.
Yeah, and it looks as tho' he's playing his signature Peavey tele. I wish he'd taken a lead. Maybe he did in the actual performance, but this video seems to have ended abruptly, and Dave's vocals are not synched to the video toward the end of the video.
Dave is from Cardiff ( Tin Street in Splott)and was originally in a group called The Raiders, and we would go and watch them playing at the Kennard Rooms in Roath in 1966/67 ( which is still there over 55 years later), the group morphed into Love Sculpture and had a top 10 hit with Sabre Dance. Dave then went solo and the rest is history, a true rock and roller and superstar guitarist
