Days like these exist and on those days we are stuck with our thoughts.... if you are not feeling so good don't watch this one... i just needed to clear my head a bit. I contemplated even posting this because it is so deeply personal, but if you are struggling just know that we all do and that we keep pushing and that is what brings us to the light once again.

It IS okay to not be okay, and you will be okay again. If we never knew deep sadness, how could we ever understand great joy? Embrace the sadness and feel it, so that when you're okay again the joy willl be that much sweeter. Pushing one emotion down deadens the other.

It’s a bad day or days not a bad life. It’s so hard that your friend passed away. My fear is dying alone. I live alone and travel alone with my dogs. I’ve not found a tribe to meet up with or travel with. So I mainly sit alone.
I know you will be ok. But it ok to not be ok. My grown son has SMI and I tell him this all the time. Big hugs Bunny. Maybe someday we will meet.

It's ok to sit with the discomfort for a while, it helps the healing. My heart goes out to you and all who were affected.
Grief is such a powerful thing. It’s only because of the love that we feel such loss. When the clouds of sadness dissipate, the impact remains. Take the things you gained from this friendship and share them, pass on that impact to others. And yes, it is ok to not be ok. Every emotion that comes is an experience. Learning to work through those emotions is the only way to get through them and grow as a person, whatever it is that you’re feeling. And yeah, bad days happen, and sometimes you have to do what you need regardless of what you think you should do. It wasn’t a treat to go to the paid campground. It was what you needed, and there’s nothing wrong with making the best decision for yourself. Biggest hugs. Even though it’s been some time and I know that you are ok, I am still sorry for your loss, but also grateful that you shared the impact that your friend had on you and others.
Storms --- oi, yes, I just went through more violent storms ---
I did a vid while standing in a sheltered doorway, ... van parked in safest protected place, ... got my dogs into an underground bunker / tornado shelter ...
...but AFTER I stopped filming, the storms had more surprises for us all 🌪 🌪 🌪 🌪

Seems like everyone is showing us their down moments these days. I am sorry for your loss, just keep telling yourself the mantras he gave you. I would venture to say that the majority of us know that there are down days, even bad days, you are human and thats ok. Hang in there!
I normally would never do this however, this person was one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met, and I think it would be an injustice to not share that legacy with other people who may not have had the opportunity to know him, and the impact that it had on us. My condolences on your friend. when a person who affects your life in such a way, those are the hardest losses to handle, especially those who make us feel invincible when we’re not quite there… I have polio I knew my husband, since we were seven. He never let me give up, help me have the courage to not care what other people thought. Not to care what it looked like while I was walking. He made me feel like I could do anything. That carried me through my life as I became a first responder. Later in life, we got married! He passed away three years ago. I came home from the cancer center letting me know that I had reached the end of my treatments, my 9/11 WTC contamination was too great. There was nothing they could do. I had kissed him goodbye at 7 AM before I left for my appointment, when I returned home to wake him up for work, he had passed away while I was at the doctors… unexpected passing of a loved one, is usually something that will stay with us. But always know he’s with you in spirit in your heart and in your mind. Sometimes people are in our lives to get us through the rough spots and that’s their job. I am so so sorry. I’ll let you know…YOU have done that for me. But my house got destroyed by the hurricane Ian I had no idea what I was going to do. And I was watching you lady bug out and Riley.. but you especially gave me the courage to give VanLife a try. And I thought if she can do this, so can I. I want to thank you for doing that for me. And the courage you gave me gave me the strength to carry on solo.😊 you might not think your videos are just entertainment, but watching you made me realize I need to enjoy what time I have left because I’d rather spend the remaining days I have in the great outdoors then sitting in a hospice bed in a hospital with a remote control in my hand! Thank you bunny and you’re in my prayers and in my heart again I am so sorry for the loss of your friend.😢

I found you channel because you and I have tread a lot of the same paths, just at different times. I don't know anything about yours or any other channel being "lesser" than any other, just different. You may not do "as much" as others", but they don't see the world through your eyes and the way you describe the world is beautiful.
I think most of us could do a better job of making sure that the ones we love know how blessed we are to have them in our lives, while we have the chance.
I'm truly sorry for the loss of your friend and mentor. Time won't heal the wound but it will dull the pain.

You've had some pretty rough times lately with this and the Texas tornado situation and other things. Now that you have just had to say goodbye to your road buddies this happens all of a sudden. You are in my prayers because I know being alone can be wonderful at times but in times like these when we just need someone for a shoulder to cry on being alone can indeed be very lonely as well. But you are not alone nor forgotten. You are loved by your UA-cam family of subscribers along with your family and friends that you have had the opportunity to meet along the way. One thing Ive learned through the years when ive lost a great one is to memorialize that person. Either on thats persons birthday or on the day of loss. ❤ To share the memories with either us or to a group of friends you had in common. Or both. It helps the healing process within and with others.

I can say that they have gifted us with a part of themselves that will last a lifetime, but, even though true, it doesn't help our hearts at first. It will as time goes on, but not at first. Imagine how grateful I am that I'm not stuck in a rat race, dead end job, relationship, and debt. How depressing and hopeless is that?! Glad I DON'T have the things I DON'T want. Like you, knowing what I'll eat and where I'll put my head down to sleep peacefully will bring a new fresh dawn of tomorrow, and a renewed strength to face it. You ARE part of that elite team! This hit home for me but in a different way. Not a loss but a medical surprise.....I have been diagnosed with cancer. DANG.....and not fun at all. So in a matter of just one month and one week I am now doing chemo and radiation. Talk about a wow....and all of a sudden it was a " oh poop" moment and I need to do this and this and that and and.....why? Well I guess only Gold knows the why and so on.
So with all my strength ( and that isn't so good right now) I am taking this battle on. One day at a time and do what they say and of course prayers that I can bet this.
I am lucky that I am only a stage 2a and so far they do not see that it has spread.....after a PET scan I hope that is still true.
So dear Bunny I send you a big hugs and so so sorry for your friend being taken away from you and family and friends. It is a hard thing loosing someone. Especially when that someone was special in so many ways.

It’s hard to loose the ones we care about. I’m glad you have a good outlook for yourself and that you took the time to grieve your loss. When you said that your friend was alone when the accident happened made me think about going out alone, and about you traveling alone…. Take care of you. I know that it happened a while ago, but the feelings will stay with you forever. I have had a few days where I’ve been feeling really lonely and sad, but like you, I know that tomorrow is another day and that I will have the opportunity to do more things that I am proud of and passionate about. I’m really excited and looking forward to the time when I do vanlife full time. Know that you are an inspiration to me (& so many others) as I watch your videos. ❤❤

Sadly he took his own life, and now that it's been almost a year you would think I would be pretty much over it, but that is not the case.😢 You never stop missing them or wanting to see them, it left a huge void in my life and his wife's life 😭. Grieving is part of our loving for your daughter in law too. Rejoice in the time you shared.
Trust in the Lord that you will be together again. This has been a shock passing, grieving may take years and healing will come gradually. One year is too short of time to expect the process to be complete. I lost my dearest friend two and a half years ago and I'm still grieving just no longer every day. I have days when I talk to her and days when she talks back. Little things I find, I see, I hear remind me of how fortunate I was to have had her in my life and I thank the Lord for that. You and your daughter in law will heal in time, give it the time it takes to do so. I am so sorry for your loss.
