My first childhood friend and neighbor has had her 90 yr. old father staying with her for a while, until he had a hospital visit and transferred to rehab facility. She brought him "home" on hospice last Monday. It's the best thing for all of them, although the emotional journey isn't over. It's hard, even to witness online, but it has brought this small community immediately back to the present, along with sharing of so many good memories together. Bittersweet, best shared with others.
So sorry for your loss. But I am glad to see you take another advanture. Hope you stay safe and healthy. Keep up with the great content! It's one of the few things that brings me joy in this world.😌

Hi Bunny, my condolences my YT friend. You are so right about giving the person the flowers while they still with us so that they can enjoy them. I made a point of writing a short letter to all my friends and acquaintances telling them how much I loved and appreciated them and what they meant to me in my life. Then with their permission I put those letters into a book and wanted to call it " Don't put flowers on my grave!" It was more a personal book for the inquisitive people in my life that want to know what is happening in my life. I have yet to finish it.

Hey Bunny, I started watching your channel during the height of the covid crazies. Firstly just to take my mind off it and now I'm here not only for the brain wrinkles but the practical advice you give for adventuring (even thise of us that can barely be called weekend adventurers 😂). I also love your patches. That a great way to commemorate travels, but I never thought of it as a motivator. I think I’m going to start doing it in my truck as a way to motivate me to find the next adventure. If you haven’t shown how you put them up before, I’d love to see how you keep them up.
I basically used Velcro that has an adhesive side on it that I can put directly on the patches and then it secures to the headliner, but I will be doing a video to share what this is specifically and how it works
Maybe you could put the patches on a quilt that you can display on your van bed.
That’s too much color and weight would be very busy and I like more of a clean look for my tiny space with solids otherwise it closes in the space to much

There is a spring near there and a nice walkway to it. I used to live near there right on the lake.

Come up to Minnesota!! It's beautiful. My home base is here, you're welcome to utilities and to charge up. We love watching you. I have an NV200, too. We can compare notes on the van, lol. I know you don't get up here hardly ever. It's not too hot. I'm going to try to start caravaning, been working to prepare. Have to get my son set up, first, and then I can go. Destination southwest 😊

Hi Bunny! So sorry for your loss, its extra devastating when unexpected. I bet YOUR impact on your friend was a joyous one as well. I got caught in that storm camping in my van at Clearwater Lake in Piedmont Mo! It was a doozy of a storm! The lightening light show was off the charts! I was there "practicing", one of the many trips I been taking lately as I'm deciding to sell my lil country house of 24 yrs and hit the road in my travel van! It's a difficult decision to let go and take that "leap of faith." I'm a retired ER nurse & have lived in MO all my life so I'm creative & resourceful and hard to scare! Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all you do, you are a joy! Stay safe and God bless!
Maybe think about renting your country house before selling it. Selling is a permanent decision that might be regretted later. Me personally, I would rather rent it out and make a little extra cash for the road trips. And if the day ever came then I could always come back home at some point. I pray you get clear direction before making any major decisions. Blessings
Thank you for your kind reply! Unfortunately, economics plays a big role in my decision also. I've rented my home before to do travel nursing. I find myself unable to keep up with the property/home maintenance, grass cutting 1+ acre by myself on social security. Its become a heavy stone. I could sell my travel van and hire help but just can't bring myself to do that! It's my Plan B! Lord willing, I'll figure it out and make the right decision! Thank you again and stay safe out there! Thank you my goal has always just been to show people all of the amazing things that are out there so that they can feel like they can do this too, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be that they move into a van and start traveling but more so that they can see new things and get out and live life and experience things
