I am studying for my PE and I am glad to get your video it is great , helpful explanation. But , Always after the video , I am jealous to your student , who get a chance to instructed all the soil courses.
Greetings Dr, I have a question regarding an example in 34:33 if one was to compute the surcharge such as the given 2000lb/ft2, say for an example the surcharge imposed by the Circular concrete reservoir, which methods would you use to come up with such a load?
Can you just break a non point load square footing into a grid of point loads then? Say a 4’x4’x16” footing is applying 40,000 lb to the soil. Could you say instead you have a grid of 9x9=81 point loads applying 491 lb each?

What a concept sir you have it's really nice
Loved the lecture, thanks, but I had a really hard time with the blurred graphics. Hard to read equations, tiny exponents!
Great Lecture!
Thank professor!! Could you recommend me a complementary book?

Ah, yes. The answer is at 25:15. If just do it numerically in Python/Excel.
you are a fucking legend
