Jump Force was actually a very good game. the problem was its story mode, if it were for example like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 which had a simplified story mode, no one would complain. less is more ..

But you can tell that Spike didn't care to polish the game. Trust me, i followed all leaks, gameplays, trailers. The markenting was good, but after that they didn't keep up with the updates. They didn't even respect their own dlc schedule. If the game was with cell shading, better story, and costant updates, it would received better praise

Honestly the only things that nen impact is lacking currently is good art direction/design, a few graphical changes they'll probably add later and consistency in their ultimate animations because thats where a fighting game's animation quality usually gets to shine, in the ults.
Killua, Hisoka and Gon are great examples of this. With Killua's they did far too little with a character as flashy and as content-filled as him (in comparison to Leorio who we've barely seen fight in the show and manga but he gets an actually good/decent looking super), with Gon's the timing and the alpha demo quality messes up alot for the animation and Hisoka's ult is just borderline lame, no impact, no real direction for anything.
I just hope they'll improve everything they can and should improve because I really wanna see this game flourish, I dont want another cursed clash situation.

On thing I like about jump force is attention to detail they like putting killua in Godspeed after a ultimate move or how gon no matter how much health can’t be called out again

- These games are "ugly" in the exact opposite ways, one is too simple the other is too excessive
- Nen impact has basically no impact (ironic) and underwhelming sound effects
- Killua's ultimate is so much more dynamic in jump force
- They really didn't give scarlet eyes to Kurapika in nen impact, or will it be only against certain opponents?
- Wasted opportunity to not give creepy facial expressions to Hisoka in both games
- I like how adult gon looks in nen impact, but his ultimate sounds and looks weak, it should be more impressive considering what it is
