Great video and launcher design. Best method I've seen yet. Compact, lightweight, minimal effort involved to construct = 100% FUN!!!
Just wanted to say that in my 3 months experience designing and launching water rockets, you have inspired me a lot, congratulations
Mateo Contenla
Wow, these are really nice words! Thank you! :)
Sheesh that thing went high, love how easy this is, and the garden hose is something i would never thought of using
Thanks for all the ideas , great videos my son is going to love making and launching this.
Very nicely done tutorial guys! Very clean editing and easy to follow instructions. I'll recommend this video when people ask how to get started with water rockets. :)

Very nice tutorial!
Thanks! :)
Very good, as simple as it can get.
ptx Thanks ptx! :)
You can't go wrong with a german made thing.
Not to sure about that ;)
i swear you deserve more subs and views.
thank u for this guide
You're welcome! :)
very nice señor
Awesome !!!
Thanks!

What brand is that garden hose QD set? I’m in America and my local hardware shops the female threaded QD pieces are too small a diameter for a bottle cap.
Should the bottle connecter and the main connecter should be easy to separate when pulling the string as I am going through some hose fittings thanks
Good evening, is there any video of yours that teaches how to make 2-stage rockets and especially the mechanism for releasing the first stage and activating the second stage?
Hey, in school, we use a 1.5 liter bottle. Do you have tips on how we can fit the bottle cap and connect it to the launch mechanism?
its an amazing water rocket. I would like to knwo how much fins do i have to put in my rocket water, with 3 is better or maybe just with one?, maybe you can help me.
+Piero Martin Mendiburo Merino Thank you a lot! Three fins are perfect, because one or two fins are not able to control the flight completely. You can also use four fins, but keep in mind that it's just extra weight you add to your rocket, which is never a good thing. :)
So should the car tire valve (6mm) be same as a bike pump normally or do i have to look for one?
RaketfuedRockets so what other type of pump could I look for that will fit a car tire valve?
RaketfuedRockets I'm an idiot, I can just get a car tire pump... Sigh. Sorry
Bro can I use bicycle tire valve instead of car tire valve?
How did the pump nozzle fit to the hose
Could you please tell me what material you have used for making the fins?
Thank You
So did he give you the list of materials yet? It’s been four years.
can i attach a camera/gopro to the rocket
Please tell me all the things that you use to make a water rocket
Hi! if I put the barrel there, so I will prevent all the water from escaping? can this tee box be used for rockets that have interconnected PET bottles?
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Can you explain it further?
@@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland when I take rocker to Launcher the water will leave or no?
Hi guys i have a problem. When i release the bottle from launcher the bottle doesn't fly up deviates left or right I think it's because of the center of gravity.Because the nozzle itself weighs and this moves the center of gravity upwards I haven't made a rocket yet, I'm just testing with a normal bottle how can I solve this problem ?
I have a problem with the rockets and maybe you can help me. When I launch It , the rocket doesnt flight straight Up, It turns right very quickly. Do you know which could be the problem??? Thankss
This problem is likely caused by the point of pressure and point of gravity of the rocket. Generally speaking, you have to attach the fins at the bottom of your rocket and make them large enough. And the top of the rocket should be a heavier than a typical bottle, so use a tennis ball or something like that.
+Raketfued Rockets can you give me the bill of materials , because the website can't be accesed right now! Thanks!
Hello David, unfortunately our website is currently only available in German. This is why you can't find the bill of materials. If you want, you can use the German list and use a translator. www.raketfuedrockets.com/index_htm_files/Materialliste_Einfache_WaRa.pdf We are very sorry and try to fix this problem as soon as possible. Greetings from the whole Team - Julian
+Raketfued Rockets Thanks a lot! Anyways I know German so it is not a problem.
could i use a 2 liter curvy coke bottle will i have the same results?
sure, it´ll fly as well ;)
The actual Altitude depends on the launchpressure which is usually lower for soft plastic bottles. The bigger diameter of the 2L coke bottle might also reduce the Altitude quite a bit.
@@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland Thank you so muc
Hi Julian,
Very well made video, as usual. You do a great job editing and adding music to your tutorials. Congratulations on the nice job. There's one thing I thought might be an issue for someone in North America.... our hose couplings are too small to accept the bottle cap as you attached it here. I have never seen one that large before, so perhaps they are a specialty item someone could order online?
USWaterRockets Hello USWR, thank you for your nice words. :)
I made this tutorial together with Chris from our team, and it was a lot of work. It took us four shooting days and two editing days to make it. Tim is currently in China, so he wasn't able to help.
In Germany, there are tap nut adaptors availbe with 1/2", 3/4" and 1" threads in every hardware store. You need a 1" thread to glue the bottle cap into it. Are there no 1" threaded tap nut adaptors available in the US? I'm sure you can buy them online.
Greetings from Iceland
Julian
RaketfuedRockets Sadly, in the U.S. there is only one standard common size garden hose fitting used. This is a 3/4" diameter straight (non-tapered) thread with a pitch of 11.5 TPI. Oddly, this is incompatible with our standard for pipe threads, where 3/4" pipe thread has a pitch of 14TPI.
USWaterRockets Mhm, thats good to know. It seems like this problem is pretty similar to getting PL Premium in Europe. :/
I used a hair dryer to warm the threads of the pop (soda) bottle and then screw it to the quick connect hose adaptor. It is easily "tapped" to fit.
Can you tell me what materials needed pls
For sure! Just check out the bill of materials in the video description. ;)
hey i tried to build one of these but there are some leaks where The water and the air get through how can I fix this??
+ioguitarix
Sorry, but we can't help you without further information. :/
Please give us more details about which parts of your rocket are leaking.
Thank you
+RaketfuedRockets it leaks through the threads of the gardena adapters
+RaketfuedRockets it also leaks through the nozzle's twisiting for the bottle
ioguitarix Did you remove the seal from the tap nut adapter before you glued the bottle cap in?
+RaketfuedRockets yes I did. I tried fixing it with tape Which initially worked but then it started to Leak through the release mechanism
0:16 WHY DID I NEVER THINK OF THAT
link bill of materials cant open
We're working on this problem, it should work again later this day. :)
Hey won’t the water go up in the hose as soon as the bottle’s flipped over?
That's why we suggest raising a part of the hose above the water line in the rocket. ;)
Raketfued Rockets thanks for the reply :)problem solved. The one last problem we have is that when we release the rocket it doesn’t fly straight upwards, instead it flies sidewards.
That's a pretty common problem. You can try to change the launch pressure or to optimize the center of gravity of your rocket. Do you have a tennis ball attached on top of the rocket?
Raketfued Rockets we just tried to mimick the weight of the tennis ball.
Coleen Mape the tennis ball was for a nosecone not weight
What's a wessle?
Pretty high.
Our rocket makes a loop why?
why used plastic bottle for the rocket
