A man who is nothing short of brilliant, realizing his brilliance could bring misery and ruin to the world and sets out to destroy his greatest creation. Killed by the woman who, despite her best efforts to ruin him, made him a great man. And all our hearts broke for it.
That's what failure to follow through leads to. Some people don't deserve to live and don't deserve any redemption and Ripley is at the top of this list and no "sad backstory" is going to change that.

Percy was so badass this episode. I hope his death isn't permanent, but this season has taken many large departures from the main campaign, so part of me believes he is truly gone :(
Well spoilers just in case: In the original campaign he gets back after being killed by Ripley and even in the campaign 2 and 3 he is part of the story and has children with Vex. After seeing that they will make a Mighty Nein show (the second campaign) it would be harder for them to not only modify that current story but also finish the legend of vox machina without him and his important role in the final arcs. Either he could be back in the finale or at the first episodes of season 4 with Vex aiming to kill Ripley after dealing with Raishan.
@@Ades1gnI know he does, but what makes me think the opposite is that he got brought to whitestone for his funeral in the show, which is the same place he was brought to be revived in the campaign. @@ashishpatel4090 Nah, the critical role campaigns never involved time travelling, it's more on resurrections and deals with gods/demons. Take Vex's death on season 2 for example
The amount of naivety Percival has in this situation is unnatural because she helped kill his family and yet he decided to forgive her. What a disappointment.
I don't know, knowing he was also addicted to the demon's power, ambition, and fuel for revenge, I could understand him wanting to believe that someone else going through the same thing would still be able to find some form of redemption. Naive of him to let his guard down sure, but I think him taking a chance on her makes more sense for his character development than just putting a bullet in her without hesitation.
But when she goes through the same experiences as him because he saw his family killed, but his eyes and her participated in the killing of his family when they were in similar circumstances, then Percy has the right to thirst for revenge, but she was greedy. It is true that her family was killed when she was young, but she killed people who were not at fault in the incident.@@YorkJonhson

Yeah but he wanted to be the person his friends and family wanted him to be. In the original campaing he never trully wanted to create weapons or even less hurt people, it was the betrayal and murder of his family that got Percy in that life style

@ it’s on you because the season is over and it’s been over for a few weeks now. It ended on October 24th. That was over two weeks ago.
@connorgrynol9021 Oh shit, good to know. I'll go watch it with my buddy now. I had no idea, thank you
the fact that orthax took percy soul is what makes this so sad for me cause percy didn't deserve that :(
I want to dislike this video because of what happens to Percy but this show is so stinkin good!
Amazon, why would you spoil one of the few amazon shows i actually give a shit about
I hate to inject realism into a D&D setting of all things, but...wouldn't it be more believable from an animation standpoint that the heavy laceration to his left arm would be more potentially-fatal than what is very likely only a .38 special to the wrong (if going for a kill-shot) side of the chest?
Whats the song?
Original song sung by mother fuckin Matt Mercer, it should be released at the end of the season, so this Thursday :)
@Nyx_404 Thanks for letting me know. I can't wait to hear the full song
I knew from the campaign they ended up having kids untill i learned they changed it for the show. Heartbroken man
Thanks for spoiling it. I had only seen season 1.
Kinda surprised she didn't lose her other hand 😂
Really cool that this sponsored video spoiled this for me
Percy was so badass this episode. I hope his death isn't permanent, but this season has taken many large departures from the main campaign, so part of me believes he is truly gone :(
Well spoilers just in case:
In the original campaign he gets back after being killed by Ripley and even in the campaign 2 and 3 he is part of the story and has children with Vex.
He obviously was not revived in the show so it kinda makes me think differently. With the current cast of characters, none of them could really revive him unless something else happens that is completely unforeseen lol
@@ghostpotato8041 Believe me you´re not the only one. I too have a bad feeling after seeing his funeral and when they showed how he met the team before that. It just wouln´t be the same without him around. Even worse if we use that logic then perhaps if Scanlan dies then Vox Machina would have a season 4 without 2 of their main character
@@Ades1gn not only 2 characters, 2 of the fan favourites and the 2 characters with imo the richest and most interesting arcs. Really hope they don't kill them off, but who knows
@@ghostpotato8041 Agreed. Scanlan´s desires to be a good father and Percy´s redemption arc alongside his relationship with Vex were the best things in this season (excluding the fight scenes of course)
They’re making spoilers into ads now?
Matt sang another song?!! First, Rubyyyy, then this?!
He will come back
A time travel might be coming
What?
It's over, Percy is back in the first place. @@YorkJonhson
DID ANYONE ELSE SOB AFTER THIS EPISODE
This is kinda a weird video to put out in the world, such a massive spoiler for people who will pick up the series later.
Song name pls
Habib & Matthew Mercer - Not How it's Supposed to End
Is there anyway he can comes back
I’m sorry but Percy is an idiot for trusting Ripley literally who didn’t see it coming?
I’m watching this show and this clip just randomly appeared and spoiled me wtf
Sic semper stultis
Just revive him like seriously this world has law-bending magic it shouldn't be that hard to stick it to Death
Avatar also has law-bending magic. Just because a world has magic, doesn’t mean death is easy to evade all the time in every circumstance. Your argument is grounded in a false equivalence. It pretends that magic=immortality. It’s dumb.
I blame love
Well it is his fault! He should not have showed her mercy
Yeah but he wanted to be the person his friends and family wanted him to be. In the original campaing he never trully wanted to create weapons or even less hurt people, it was the betrayal and murder of his family that got Percy in that life style
@@Ades1gn he should have kept that live style! I know I would have
Eyes out at 3:45 and ears out at 3:52.
song?
"Vex......"😢
SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THE SONG
seriously with that title?? thanks for the spoiler warning 🙄
SAME. Been putting off the season until it’s over… and I see THIS when I’m just casually scrolling. What the actual flip.
And that's what happens when you try to show mercy to those who don't deserve it, stupid..
😞His mistake was showing mercy and letting his guard down. He should’ve killed her. His vengeance isn’t complete until she’s dead.
He wanted justice, but who would give him that?
Feels like his entire story is wasted now.
