If I would like to buy both if I would be the owner of bank of America. I had 2015 Breakout which I sold for a 2017 Hayabusa. Now I have One 2017 Iron883 with V&H on it. I must say, to me, 120th anniversary Fatboy is the best-looking Motorcycle on earth.
Coming from a 2012 Sportster 1200 and traded it in for 2023 Fat Boy… absolutely love the riding position, floor boards for foot comfort and the overall “feel”. Took it along Oregon Coast to SF - handled awesome on the highways AND city!!!
Both bikes are chubby cousins in the rear...that black and orange on the breakout is stunning.. the fat boy is meaty beefy muscular with a steamroller look..a show stopper..perhaps Harleys most Iconic sled for sure...some inexperienced riders think the fat tires impede its steering and lean angle..that's crap..I live in the rocky mountains and ride every Sunday in the twisties hairpins etc...counter steering sets the bike into the turn and i can scrape the boards when ever I want...a boulevard cruiser as well..love my 2022 Fatty
The breakout is a great looking scooter no doubt about that. If I could only have one cruiser I’d have to go with the fatboy. It’s just personal preference but I’m hooked on floorboards and heal toe shifters I know it doesn’t come with heal anymore but it can be added. Also not a huge fan of forward controls I’m more into comfort the appearance. If it was all about appearance I would definitely choose the breakout
Picked up a '23 Fatboy this past September. Grey/silver. Man, I'm loving it so far. I was trying to decide between FB and Breakout. Unfortunately, i couldn't find a BO at the time and got real lucky finding a FB recently traded in cause the guy wanted a bagger instead. My local HD dealer offered me lots for my '08 Dyna. The '23 FB became an offer i couldn't refuse.
I have a 2023 breakout and after 20 years of my dad's wanting, I got him a 2023 fat boy. Mine is atlas silver, his is vivid black. The breakout is for speed and style, the fat boy is for comfort and classic look. If you're going to be in town, breakout all damn day. If you want some more highway miles, fat boy. My personal preference after mileage on both, I love my breakout
I love the look of both. I was in the same position… deciding which to get. I went with the Fat Boy based on the riding position. So much more comfortable. Your sitting up more as opposed to the Breakout which your leaning more forward.
I bought that 23 Fat Boy and love it. I’ve ridden to NC and SC from the DMV area. DMV area is pretty much all street and I have no problems with maneuverability.
The Fat Boy is actually more nimble than the Breakout because the Rake is more aggressive, trail is much shorter, and the 18inch wheel allows quicker turning of wheel direction. The big advantage of the breakout this year though is the 117. And between the two bikes the Breakout has more lean angle avalible because it has pegs instead of boards. The Fat Boy though will be more comfortable, and that front tire likes to crawl over things easily on the road, so it's safer to ride on poor quality roads. I have a Fat Boy 114 myself. Fully upgraded suspension. It's an awesome bike. I wouldnt trade it for a Breakout.
@@dlmp70 Screamin Eagle Ohlins Monoshock for the rear, and frankenstein build for the front with DKCustom Intiminators and Progressive Suspension Fork Springs, maxima racing fork fluid.
Unless you hardcore Tour I'd be choosing the Breakout 💯👌 .The Breakout now with the larger fuel tank is more Versatile but also more customisable and Appealing and Lighter/ cheaper front tire too 😁🙌etc ,, I'm on a Fxlrs 20 and for All the years on Different Harley's I Love my forwards ,,,
Went through this exact same debate 2 months ago. I ended up going fatboy because I am 6'1'' 230 lbs and the Breakout looked kind of smallish with me on it, where the fat boy with its bigger everything looks the right size for me even though they share the same frame.
Breakout is my current an first bike. First time I saw her. I fell in love. I have the 114 an it’s definitely a lot of power. I forget sometimes when I hit the throttle 😂
@@the_WE lucky there are many options. I have ridden the Breakout and found the suspension a little too firm even on the softest setting, hoping the Fatboy is a more comfortable ride. Thanks for your reply mate, ride safe.
Breakout is way cooler for cruising around town showing off the ride. I always found the Fatboy comedic looking with it's giant front tire/forks and the car sized brake pedal. You are also limited more on lean angle from those floorboards

Totally Agree; the riding position is vital for me, too!
I hated the FB floorboards, give me BO pegs any day.
Ive got the 23 Breakout and I absolutely love it!!
I would literally have to flip a coin on this one. Wow! Both are outstanding.

Thanks for your comment
Breakout with the floorboards 👊🏼
I bought the 23 breakout 117 couldn't be happier! just installed screamin eagle stage 3
117 with a stage 3 🔥
Install stage three on the 23 break out 117 that’s awesome. What are your Dyno numbers ??

I hate heel toe shifters and floorboards. I traded my 2019 BO for a 2024 BO. FJB 🖕🇨🇳
@@barackblows1942 first : while we might disagree on hardware we have one thing in common FJB and that trumps hardware any day !!
Thats my dilemma

You "got real lucky finding a FB," so there's truth to there being enough separation between the bagger and the FB.
@@the_WE I'd say so, yes.

Your Dad is a Fortunate Guy!. I totally agree; I'm waiting to see what the Harley 2025 releases (hopefully) for the fat boy.

Nice video keep up the good work my brother
Thank you
Both nice bikes, go with what FITS & FEELS best to you. I ride a 2016 Fatboy & LOVE IT! Such a fun bike to ride & comfortable! Good luck!
I got a screaming eagle fat boy 110 but I really like that breakout
I hear you; I'm still on the fence!

Sounds like Real Experience talking here @FranBunnyFFXII; another 🏁for the Fat Boy
What suspension did you upgrade to?

Yes, I already have a bagger, I'm looking for a different type of ride, you hit all the right points about the Breakout!!
Most comfortable hd I have ever owned . Plenty of torque
Love my new Breakout
I traded a 22 street glide ST in on it
Good Call 🤘
Love my 23 Anniversary Fat Boy👍
My Brothe FATBOY
Got the 23 anniversary fatboy, love it!
Congratulations ✌🏽
1:26 its a 2into2 exhaust dude.
🤣🤣🤣
FACTS; I miss spoke (2x)
I ride a 19 fatboy with custom wheels and cam , it’s deceptively quick.
I choice FAT BOY my dream MC. God bless...

Good call. The breakout looks small to me also, And I'm under 5'10"
Love my 120th Anniversary Fatboy . I was torn between the two. I think of the Breakout as the Fatboy's good looking brother!
Right on!
i had the same choice to make...chose the fatty for more comfort on longer rides.... but my next bike will be a Breakout👹
I already have a touring bike, so that's a good reason to get the breakout with the 117 engine.
Breakout is my current an first bike. First time I saw her. I fell in love. I have the 114 an it’s definitely a lot of power. I forget sometimes when I hit the throttle 😂

I Love Fat Boy 2023 but the seat is tribble for long rides
RKS nuff said
Now take them for a test ride
Can you get a breakout with floor boards and fatboy handlebars
Yes, that’s one of the upsides buying a Harley, they’re customizable
@@the_WE Thank you
Would I be wrong in saying the Breakout is about looks and the Fatboy is about comfort? Fatboy still looks very nice though.
Options vary on looks, and depending on the type of rider, either bike may meet the need!
@@the_WE lucky there are many options. I have ridden the Breakout and found the suspension a little too firm even on the softest setting, hoping the Fatboy is a more comfortable ride. Thanks for your reply mate, ride safe.
Break out is fine fat boy too cool for school.
its hard enough to read round 4" indicators to see anything. This would be hopeless for any data. Now put a color tft 5" then you have something !
I think they both look awesome. But the Fatboy would be the way to go just a better bike to ride altogether.
Im not a fan of the new digital guage on the breakout...however the fatboy win in that case ... but 2 great bikes i say
Good evening, just saw your video, wondering what about the heritage or the Fatboy
Great idea, I'll add that head-to-head review for December - thanks!!
Fat boy other wise your be betting yourself up good luck 😊🙏
YOu can put floor boards on the breakout.

Fatboy. Me and the terminator both agree.
Fat boy all the way. Better for the back shoulders and arms. You can tour cross country with any bike long as you plan your trip.
My thoughts exactly!
Love your video, I love both bikes, so I would have the fatboy with 21 inches tire or the breakout with floorboard and bager handlebar
Good call on the modifications 👍
Nothing like floorboards
Yeah, they suck. 😎
@@barackblows1942 maybe you should try them
Fat boy !! ❤
Cvo breakout
Honestly if your looking for Kool factor. Look no further than the Royal Enfield bullet 350 in black Gold.
