Japanalysis did a great job covering this in-dept 6 months ago. The tax-evasion part was exposed by that interview she did with a UA-camr called KoreTube where she basically snitched on herself responding with confusion once he asked if she paid any taxes. It's a great video I'd recommend if you want to fully understand the lengths she went in her stupidity.
Oh yeah that’s right i forgot he mentioned that lol. This is also just so on point Japan. Where your committing a crime and if you get interviewed that felon will confess that crime they did lol.
There's some more information left outta that article that I thought was pretty funny. She went on some radio show/podcast and ratted on herself to the host, thinking it would make her sound cool. He was calling her a criminal and called her out on the taxes being dodged and she threatened him to not release the tape, but he did anyway
I saw this before. Apparently, she was also obsessed with Korekore (Japanese keemstar) and did everything she could to get on his show, at which point she just straight admitted to her fraud to the entire internet in an incredibly nonchalent way.
I remember watching another UA-cam video about this. Since she basically scammed the three men saying she was in debt, gets all this money. Then, to find out she’s also in debt because she spends all her money on a single man in a host club because she was lonely 😂. The cruel irony because she was scammed the same way that she scammed the three men. (Edit). I think the host she was buying is also being investigated for fraud as well if I’m not mistaken I forgot.
Host clubs are super shady, Many girls in Japan are forced into sex work due to host clubs Host can get these girls drunk, and they do one of two things Drug their drink, and then do stuff and blackmail them Or while they are intoxicated, they put a lot of drinks onto a tab, meaning you owe the club so then they put you into contact with a brothel
As someone that frequently watches videos about scammers getting busted, you would not believe how many scammers end up being conned by the dumbest sh*t.
Yeah interviews with former hosts is really polarizing. They tell how they're encouraged to tell their victims (they are victims) to lie, steal and scam to afford their company. The more they're with them the higher they charge, to the point they even tell these young men and women to steal or prostitute themselves. Only once they can no longer pay or another victim is getting them more money, do they 'dump' them. This is why I was not a fan of Joey giving that one host any screen time. It is a predatory job, manipulating the desperate and lonely.
@@TotallyAGoblinone thing, you’re confusing host clubs that are likely run by yakuza and host clubs that aren’t. Roland is from the latter, meaning he didn’t engage in any of that stuff.
It's kind of disappointing to see them being able to deliver harsh punishments when it comes to drugs or money fraud but leniency and misplaced empathy when it comes to assault and child abuse.
The fact that a chronically lonely girl has the self-awareness to scam similarly lonely people, while knowingly falling victim to the same scam herself for some sliver of companionship (and using her own scams to fund that relationship no less) is perhaps as Japan as Japan gets.
@@TermiMurasakinope. Those hosts meet up with women outside of work, to make them beilive they are “the one” so they give more money to host club, and make the hosts win

She's no better or worse than the men giving her money, IMO. They paid for "services," and she used the money to buy "services" as well. In the other video as well they showed her getting interviewed by a Japanese UA-camr and when he confronted her and called her a bad person she let out these very annoying high pitch shrieks that still haunt my nightmares.
I'm not sure exactly what part of what she did actually constituted fraud. None of the articles go into details. Being a manipulative, cheating gold digger, while immoral, I don't think is usually illegal. Am I missing something?
She was basically a Nigerian Prince; she'd tell these men that she needed money for hospital bills, that the Yakuza was after her and things like that. That's more than just being manipulative. She also outright called what she was doing a scam and told others to do the same, which is how she caught the attention of the police. She paid taxes for most of the scammed money, afaik she only got fined for tax evasion.
Yeah I got the same impression at first and some Japanese people even accused the victims, which is pretty wild in my opinion. I guess it simply depends on how the "victims" preceive what she did. Only if she was little smarter and those guys didn't find out that she was lying and selling the manual of "how to cast spell", it wouldn't end up like this.
@@punospoo6 Selling her manual was her most critical mistake, because some of the people she sold it to, who started following her plan, were less careful about "aftercare" - meaning the part where you make sure your victim feels all right about the whole thing.
