Hi, I’ve made ribs a few times in the instant pot but for the Fourth of July this year I decided to try your recipe and technique. They came out perfect! I definitely prefer a little bite to my ribs, which I got with 20 min cook/10 min natural release, but the meat came clean off the bones which I like. Thanks for the video!
Looks good. I don't like my ribs falling apart eithet (pulled pork on a stick). After much experimentation, I use 1 cup apple juice, 1/4 cup ACV and 1 tsp. liquid smoke. 18 minutes pressure and a 10 min. NPR. Sauce and broil just like you did. Perfect!
For everyone complaining about he talks too much, there's such a thing as FAST FORWARD or just hit the BACK BUTTON and move on. That simple, no need to put someone down or complain after they put in hard work to bring us a video. Btw, I enjoy the talking and the great video. I'll definitely be trying this recipe, looks delicious!
Dude! You rock! I pull the membrane off too! And honey chile! Talk all you want! I could listen to you all day long! Love your southern accent! Outstanding job!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Pulling that membrane off means a lot don't it, I really appreciate your comment and very glad to hear all you had to say...thanks for watching! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
I don't know why you don't have a lot more subscribers. I follow a lot of cooking UA-camrs and I use their recipes! Love them but if I had to pick someone to cook for me a meal, I would pick someone like you over them haha
Ok, the ribs turned out great. I did 18 minutes on pressure and 10 min release. The next ribs I will pressure for 20 although they turned out great. Thanks again.
Thank you, it's comes natural and I try to enunciate any important words or sentences but I ain't sure it works as well as I think it does LOL..but thank you for watching!
I can not ell you how many times I have watched this video since I do no feel like cranking the grill up I am doing these tonight. Doing the IP then going to finish in the Vortex air oven. BTW John I forgot the other day to say GOOOOO DAWGS!
"I'm gonna keep it short, not a lot of talk, not a lot of fluff..." Yeah, right... But all things considered, a good how-to BBQ video that made my mouth water for the finished product...
Love your ribs. My family & I love Butt Rub. In Central Ca., we can only find itty bitty jars - enough for 1 rack of baby back ribs, but not spare ribs or a butt. Wish I knew where to get your big container. Don't care for Stubbs tho. I'm the one that got stuck with that. Everyone else went with your Fox sauce. We have to mail order it. Husband love the ribs. I cooked 6 minutes longer. My family loves fall off the bone ribs. Thanks for a great recipe.
Pheesao I get the big containers at a local grocery store near my house, it's actually called Piggly Wiggly if you've got one of them in Cali...I kinda doubt it LOL but you try them online, very glad to hear you enjoyed my video.
THE SNOOZE BUTTON I love them, I use short ribs and they have a very good and prominent beef flavor, they are a lot different than pork ribs and need at least twice the cook time, they are one of my favorite things to cook in the instant pot and are better in the instant pot than the grill to me, be careful which, if any, bbq sauce you use because they do not taste like pork, more like steak and if you have dogs they will love the bones.
If you have one you like that has a steak sauce flavor, or just try a few different ones on one after they come out of the instant pot and before you put them under the broiler, if that is the method you plan to use.
🙋When your local grocers has ribeye steaks on sale & they make boneless ribeye steaks. Then there are more beef ribs available. Safeway stores sell these beef ribs. Cook up delicious. Don't hesitate to ask employees in the meat dept.
I don't usually use it but I know a lot of people do...and for this situation it probably work very well, thank you for the tip and thanks for watching!
The ribs look good. Will have to try it. One comment: the camera was all over the place. A wider angle view would have been better, not all the close up in and out and back and forth shots.
No talking much, huh? LoL...your ribs look great and you love what you do... I would Love to see your vinegar based barbeque sauce recipe...I live vinegar based... hey talk on! Be yourself, your audience will adjust :) this is not as easy as it seems!
@@JohnSanders Im going to try and make ribs again today. I had to throw out the last batch. for some reason the ribs stank. I was using a different recipe that called for 4 cups of apple juice and a cup of apple cider vinegar. When I opended up the pot the house was consumed in a foul and I mean really extra horrible stink and i dont know why.

John Sanders awesome thank you. So do you have any suggestions on bbq sauce for beef short ribs?

How about some liquid smoke? Maybe? Could be good.
I don't usually use it but I know a lot of people do...and for this situation it probably work very well, thank you for the tip and thanks for watching!
One tip I learned is if you use a wooden spoon it helps to release the pressure
Yes, that is a good idea... thanks
Thought you said you weren’t going to talk so much? 😝
I admit i have trouble doing that
John Sanders you have a good recipe and a good sense of humor👍
24 minutes is my go too time. 6 qt pot.
Finding that perfect cook time is something everyone can do and have quick and easy ribs they will love
The ribs look good. Will have to try it. One comment: the camera was all over the place. A wider angle view would have been better, not all the close up in and out and back and forth shots.
