Dude..........love it. I'm a "smoker" guy with ribs, but also got an Instant Pot a few months ago, so I'm gonna throw a couple slabs in to see how it turns out, but more than "that", I'm a single Dad of a senior in HS. It was "just yesterday" that my little girl was just like yours. Brings back fantastic memories bro.!!!! You've got a precious one there!!!! I see the love man!!!! Good job on the cook, but "great job" on the Dad part...... and that's most important! God Bless your family. Keep cookin'!!!! Nice job.
Getting ready to try this. I'm a smoker kinda old set in my ways guy lol. Your video is awesome and I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. It did my heart good to see a younger generation Dad being just that,, a Dad. I can see the love and gave me some hope in this generation. Cherish your Daughter man because you blink and they are grown up with children of their own. Thank you and God bless you and your family!
I just made 2 racks of center cut pork ribs, for the 1st time, in my IP Duo...I’m glad I looked up tutorials & found yours! Stoneground Dijon mustard, rib rub, ACV water mixture & Hickory Liquid Smoke is what I used...after 22 minutes in the IP, I can either air fry or broil the ribs once they’re done. Thanks for the tips!!! Who’d have ever thought I’d find a simple straight forward IP rib tutorial on a lawn channel!!! Awesome!!!!
Didn't want to spend 6 smoking ribs today. Getting cold here too. Instant pot it is. Ribs look awesome and your daughter's adorable. Thanks for posting.
I thought it was a cooking channel until he said it was a lawn channel. Silly me 🤣. I was searching for recipes for my new InstantPot and ran across this channel. Love the presentation and will try this rib recipe. Thanks.
Looks delicious! I just did this the other day but with spare ribs. They are sooo tender and I only cooked them for 30 min. I’ll never put them in the oven again. Thanks for sharing and your daughter is precious 🙂
Thanks for the tip on using the liquid smoke. My variation is to make cuts between each rib. This method enables rubbing of spice mix on the sides of each rib as well as the non-bone side. Then I braise the meat on the gas grill impress my guests with the grill marks. One option is to broil the individual ribs with barbecue sauce placed further away from the heat source. I have tried the traditional gass grill method by placing over the direct heat to braise the meat and spending lot of time and propane gas in indirect heating which when you look at it is the same as putting the meat on the oven.
This is probably the best way I've seen to do ribs in the instapot. Thanks for the video. Definitely enjoyed the channel. I found it because of this video.
I’m making those ribs tonight! Yummy! Your daughter is lovable! You’re great to watch! A pleasant, personality and good instructions for cooking! It’s your first time? Impressed!😃

Just got my Instant Pot. Going to do ribs today. Simple is best sometimes! Did mac & cheese yesterday and it came out fantastic! Now the ribs to go along ....
Found your channel, had the ribs ready to go with a rub, husband skeptic about cooking in the IP, I just follow your instructions and they’re on, hope he likes it. Ribs, coleslaw and bake potatoes. Voilà
Those ribs are looking so delicious and I made some in my Instant Pot and put in the oven for 7 minutes later and tasted so wonderful and I will cook even more since I have plenty of sauce to put on them.
I was thinking instead of water in the pot, a half cup of cider vinegar with a cup of apple juice and a half a cup of water with the liquid smoke. I like the sweet and spicy rays! Too many people miss the skin removal on the back, sometimes it is really stuck...
I seriously have to do this! I love ribs so much and never made them at home! Using the Instant Pot is seriously the perfect solution, thanks for this great recipe!
Will be trying your delicious recipe today! My mouth is watering already. I subscribed to your channel because you get right to business nooo unnecessary blah, blah, blah. Look forward to future recipes! Thank you. P.s. daughter is so adorable!
I have watched a few videos on this and many use apple juice and orange juice etc, is this necessary? Your video was the first on I watched using only water and liquid smoke and they looked amazing!!! Also give Stubbs a try, its thick and really good.
Using a juice as a liquid just adds another layer of flavor. I personally like to use orange juice and beer. Amazing flavor. I also mix half Sweet Baby Rays and Open Pit for my sauce. Grew up on Open Pit but like the sweetness that SBR's adds. Give it a try. Great video.
@@neilaggen120 I'm about to do some baby back ribs in the Instant Pot. I'm going to use apple juice and apple Cider vinegar for my liquid, and I am not opposed to some liquid smoke because others that use juice also add that. I like the taste of Sweet Baby Ray's, but they make it with high fructose corn syrup, as do most other BBQ sauces found in the store, and I don't buy any of those. Stubbs spends the money on real cane sugar and molasses. That's a no brainer for me.
If I may, he oven cooked them at 400 for about 10 minutes, then broiled for just a couple minutes to char up the top of the ribs / sauce. He didn't say "exactly" there at the end, but that's about how it should be done. Broiling doesn't take but just a couple minutes to crisp up the top of the ribs. It's "hot"! Be careful. Just a couple minutes. Watch it! Hope this helps!

22 minutes is definitely not long enough. I did 30 yesterday, following this guys preparation except finishing on grill not in oven. The sides of the ribs, where i had cut it were nice and tender, definitely not fall off the bone but tender. The insides were cooked but definitely not tender. Please don't expect this to create tender ribs at only 22 minutes. I guess you can see it in this video, he grabs a side piece. Yes, that was tender, the rest was not.

Hi Edward. I have quite a few BBQ champion friends. (I traveled a lot when I was a full time pro. musician, and got a lotta recipes along the way...lol) I can tell you that most, if not "all" of them rubbed their ribs no more than an hour before throwing them on the pit or in the smoker. They mostly "did" bring their ribs up to room temp, or close to it before prepping them with a rub though. Just a lil info. from what I learned from some big time pro's in the BBQ world. Generally speaking, a 24 hour marinade makes sense, but not a rub. Just what "I've" seen and learned. Without "liquid", there's no penetration of flavor, so a dry rub doesn't penetrate any more in 24 hours than it does in 1 hour. The "rub" is to make the barque. Not intended to penetrate the meat. Again, just what "I've" seen among some big time BBQ champions. Take care!

Sweet Baby Ray is good bbq sauce. Unfortunately it has high fructose corn syrup which is very bad for the body.
I was going to ask my husband to stop and buy Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce. Glad I read this. No HFCS for me.
If you can get Stubb's original in your area it had no HFCS. Made with sugar and molasses. My favorite store bought. Not overly sweet but good flavor.
Yep, it causes an improper insulin response in the body, otherwise known as metabolic syndrome.
