There is water metro in Kerala. Kochi perticularly. You can get house boat in Kashmir in Jammu & Kashmir state and in Sundarbans in the state of West Bengal, Odisha and in Bangladesh and there you actually do boat safari in Sundarbans.
I tried out the new water taxi they just setup there, it was really nice and efficient! I heard in a couple years they are suppose to explains it to some of the Islands too off the coast
