Hi, we are Stephen, Jess and little Hunter, a traveling family who spent 2020 self-converting a van before moving in full-time to drive around our home country of Australia. We have now completed our lap, said our goodbyes, and resumed full-time travel before we wait for our second baby to arrive.
Hey everyone :) thanks so much for all your support on our India series!! We actually filmed this right before Christmas but next week we are all caught up with our brand new 2024 travel series! Where do you want to see us go?
Come back to Austin before we leave so we can show you some real real bbq
Tanzania!! Zambia !! Mauritiana !!
Hahaha! We LOVE Ausfin but also veggie Texas and bbq probably don’t go together 😂
USA
Koa needs a trip to Brighton!
Kerala is stunning. Breaks all the stereotypes about India.

Yes a foreigner girl ws beheaded in kerala
LOL.... A TYPICAL BELOW AVERAGE COMMUNIST MALLU TRYING HARD TO DEFAME 'HINDUSTAN' ...!
I’ve traveled to Kerala 10 years ago.. it’s a magical place.. I loved the food, people, and atmosphere
So glad it could bring back some memories of your trip :)
Thank-you..im from kerala❤
Thanks 🌹🌹🌹
@@flyingthenestAs a Malayali I hug you with love❤️
Kerala is one of the place i want to visit to south
Its so beautiful!
I worked in Bahrain and the staff were mostly Keralan Indians. Such lovely people and fed me very large grain rice every day...Keralan Rice... it was important I ate it daily otherwise they were worried I would get ill. I haven't seen it anywhere else
I've never been to this part of India, but it is definitely on my bucketlist now! Thanks for sharing, you guys always make everything look fun!❤
As a indian I urge you don't pay visit to India's so called golden triangle. I don't know why indian government is reluctant to turn those region better but still I say that that golden triangle is not worth visiting in any way. Except of rajsthan which is good with ancient architecture, apart from that Delhi and Agra are chaotic unsafe jungle. If you ever visit india, try visiting the far northern India which includes Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. And beside do visit India's northeast India and southern India. You'll know the real beauty of India. Delhi and Agra are nothing else than a burden for India
I cant believe that you guys came to our kerala!soo happy😊
hehe we HAD to visit! missed out last time!
3:46 wow this clip with the dog running is just amazing!!
In kerala , 1) munnar 2) varkala 3) allepy backwaters 4) jatayu 5) kannur 6) wayanad. These are places not to miss
Kannur karan aanalle😂😂😂
Kannur enth thengaya ulle
@@Nia_Nia7 njan thrissur kaaran aanu . But kannu is underrated . Beaches are much better and clean. Paithalmala, ezharakund waterfalls
I had a terrible experience in India, but Kerala was the only place I liked

Did you visit Uttarakhand?
Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Landour and Dhanaulti?
Kashmir: Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam?
Himachal Pradesh: Shimla, Kufri, Kullu, Manali, Kasol and Dharamshala.
These three regions in India are like Georgia or Armenia.

Kerala is heaven. Lush green tropical paradise, long history and eclectic culture, diverse and mouth watering cuisine, civilized educated and friendly people.
Kerala is the gem of India.
Its such a beautiful spot so glad we coudl make it out here!
Makes me want to go (my aunts from there)
Civilized, educated & friendly people? Looks like someone who doesn't have much knowledge about India. And looks at India through a prism of ignorance.
People in India are civilized, educated & friendly! Bigger cities will have people who will be in a rush & what you will call rude/crunched for time, its same everywhere be it in India, Australia, US etc ..
looks likes someone doesn't know about south India and especially state Kerala @@BlackHawkTejas
@@BlackHawkTejasU haven't visited Kerala then. The story is different here don't just stick up a commonality
Love from Kerala! Hope we see you back again soon!
aww htanks so much!
OmG can't believe that u visited my home state. Not me following flying the nest since the Maldives video I'm just so happy 😭
awww no way thats SO long ago!! thanks so much for the support :)
Aww thank you so much for sharing this beautiful family journey with us
8:07 it's south indian dessert called "Semiya payasam" made with vermicelli, milk, ghee, sugar/ jaggery, raisins and nuts.. kerala's own dessert.
Even in tamil we call that as semiya payasam
Same in andhra too@@chad4321
There is a sinking island called Munroe Island in Kerala. It's a fascinating place. And, Wayanad, Jatayu Earth's Center Nature Park, Gavi Village, Kavayi Island, and Silent Valley are must-visit places in Kerala. Also, Kerala has a stunning group of islands near the coast called Lakshadweep. They have the most beautiful beaches in India, alongside the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. You need to permit entry there. You can easily get a permit from Kerala (Kochi).
oh wow! never heard of this place thanks for letting us know!
@@flyingthenest Pls visit lakshadweep ..u gonna get surprised ..the best kept secret of India
its hard to visit lakshwadeep for indians@@ajithbabu1435
It's vermecelli , guys and not noodles . It's called semia in Malayalam and can be used in both savoury and sweet dishes. The dessert was semia payasam, a common dessert in Kerala.
OMG, I can't believe you finally made it my homeland, Kerala. So happy that you all enjoyed the houseboat stay, the food, the backwaters, and the incredible Kerala as a whole. It is such an honour to host you.
I would suggest to return for a longer stay to experience the vibrant Kerala. You have tall hill ranges to lush green rain forests to pristine beaches to tranquil rivers to serene backwaters to name few. There are religious and cultural festivals that you would enjoy. And I am sure you will enjoy the heavenly local cuisines.
The dessert you had is called "paal payasam".. lots and lots of love from Tamil Nadu, India
Not paal payasam its semiya payasam
It’s semiya payasam . It has vermicelli . Pal payasam doesn’t have it .
It's Semiya Payasam. Pal payasam and semiya payasam are two different desserts.
Semiya payasam nokki pal payasam paranjapo thanne manasilayi ne malayali allann😂
The place resonates its people...calmer the people cooler the place...
That looks like such a fun adventure guys! :D
Vermicelli+Milk, Locally we called it "Paayasam" or "Semiyam Paayasam" 'Semiyam' means vermicelli in Malayalam language (language in kerala)
yumm! thanks so much!
I love music from these regions of India

oh wow! thanks so much for taking the time to write to us!
Hello! Welcome to Kerala. I am from Kerala. It's a pleasure to see UA-camrs I have been watching for years visiting my home places."
If you're planning a trip to Kerala, consider visiting Munnar, Varkala, Wayanad, and Kozhikode. There are many beautiful places to explore in Kerala. If I had known you were visiting, I would have recommended several places. Let us know when your next trip is!
I hope people realise that India has all the weather, landscapes; be it islands, mountains, dry & cold desert, lagoons, wetlands, tropical/rain all type foress, plains, plateau, mountain ranges etc...
Most foreigners just take a old & now much publicised North(not complete one) to Westnot complete one) to South route & think is just all that.
Well India has its coasts, Central, Eastern & North Eastern parts as well along with Andaman & Nicobar/Lakshadweep Islands.
Just following the old & over explored parts & passing their uncalled for judgement about the whole country without even traveling the whole country itself!
So beautiful and peaceful. I had no idea. The food also looked scrumptious.
The kids melt my heart.😍 Aww baby.. I am from Kerala Kochi. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Kochi.
The sweet dish is called payasam ❤ glad you guys enjoyed India and all the great food here.
Looks like an amazing trip. Hope you all had a good time.
Really happy that you guys came to visit my home state. I've been watching you guys since your first India tour and immediately became a fan!

The banana phone scene!!! Ugh that made my day 😂 hunter is hilarious
Thank you our showcasing Kerala, India 🌴❤ Loved this family vlog❤❤😊😊
What a fabulous episode 🎉. Thankyou for Sharing
8:13 it’s payisam. One of the famous puddings is usually made by boiling milk, sugar or jaggery, and rice. It can be additionally flavored with dried fruits, nuts, cardamom and saffron. Instead of rice, it may contain cracked wheat, vermicelli (sevai) or tapioca (sabudana) and it has many forms of making. The most popular one is made with rice, which is known as arri payasam.

Wow, you guys are in my hometown. We live in the UK now and we watch your travel vlogs. Happy to see you guys exploring Kerala 😊😍 especially, the way you guys enjoyed the food - Sadya and payasam(vermicelli in milk) 😊
Rainy season is still good if you want to experience houseboats. Unless it is flooding, everything will be fresh and cool. The mystic beauty of backwaters when it rains is something worth an experience.
Rainy season is a long season from june to September..the season is most beautiful.
It looks like you had a fantastic time on your travels in India.
yes you're supposed to mix it, that's the only way to eat it all HAHA
That looked fantastic.
Take the Monroe boat ride, early in the morning, before sunrise, and during sunrise... its 👍🏽 Check out the old church's, fort Kochi, Jattayu, Varkala beach, Treehouse stay, Athirappilly waterfalls, Ayurvedica spa, Munnar, Spice tour with a meal, Bible tower, St. George, St. Marys, Kilaripauattu and kathakali, and lulu mall.
Try the Kerala Fish Curry, Fish Fry, Appam and chicken stew/isthu, Malabari Biryani, Chicken Perattu, Mutton Paya masala, Erachi Varutharacha Curry (lamb curry), Mussel oyster fry, Beef and parotta (classic), shrimp pickle (spicy), kuttu parata
yumm! those all sounds like such tasty meals!
Amazing. Something completely different
Nice to see you enjoying with your family.
08:40 it is called semiya payasam made with vermasil. Hope you enjoying your time in Kerala. Have a good one.

8:17 - Vermicelli in milk - We call it as semiya payasam In Kerala), used to make it during specific occasions.
Your kids and sister are so cute. And so are you guys....Love from India ❤❤❤❤👌👌👌👌
Where you embrace the scenic route so hard, you'll forget what rushing feels like. It's like hitting the pause button on life...while surrounded by swaying palms. I still find myself missed out that I didn't get to see Kerala. Hopefully, I could go back when my travel dart hits it again.
Good family God bless you ❤️
Amazing, love from WestBengal, India,
The upper deck is actually an optional conference space!! You can host birthday parties, baby showes and other small events below 100pax!! Although only around 10pax can sleep in the rooms below!!!
❤ love from Kerala ❤❤❤
❤❤❤ welcome to Kerala
In Trinidad we call that vermicelli dish as sawine. But I think in kerala it’s called Seviyan. Something like that. Jess Always finds the coolest spots to experience 💚
Wauw what a beautiful journey with the houseboat 😊 your india series has been wonderful such a joy to watch
Seeing everyone faces at every place says it all 🥰.
😂Hunter Banana phone chat. Brilliant koa growing up so fast 😍.
Looking Forward to hearing your plans for this year out with your Expedition trips inbetween😊.

I would love to live in South Indian. For sure I would to take a ride in the backwaters. In Guyana, we make the vermicelli desert too. The same way as well.
Hope you guys had a great time here
Kerala🌴❤️
LOL Hunter is so wise! I wonder where she learned that from!! Hunter is the cutest thing ever!! Wow that tour looked so fun and the boat is huge. I that would be something I would love to check out with my friends!! Go captain Chleo one of the best captain, aunt and sister regularly on this channel!!
The noodle dessert is locally called semiya payasam. The noodly bits is semiya and the dessert is payasam. So the desert is called 'Semiya Payasam'.
Love your videos.❤❤
You mix the papadum's , the rice and the sambhar together. It's heavenly.
Lovely to see Chleo back in the vlogs! This looks like a lovely peaceful cruise down the river with great meals. Actually in England macaroni is also made into puddings like rice pudding for dessert. I’m team Valentine in this however, not for me. Give me pavlova any day or a fruit salad! ❤
Us too! so fun having her out here!
Enjoy ur trip ❤
This is so cool 😭😭😭 you guys should definitely visit more states in south India :) ❤
Hope to :) what do you suggest?
@@flyingthenest Goa , Pondicherry, Coorg or nagarhole tiger reserve ( Karnataka state )

the vermicelli dessert is called a "payasam". Which is kerala's traditional desert
I love being on houseboats. I’ve only ever had the chance to be on one on lake Powell though. This definitely looks way more luxurious 😅

Vermicelli looks like noodles but it’s not noodles. You can make savory but mostly it’s use for desserts. In some part it’s called kheer and in south India it called Payasam.
Thankyou for visiting Kerala - God's own country. Love you guys.🥰🥰🥰
Wow.. 😍
Vermicelli milk - Local name is samya Payasam. As you said we have it at the end of the meal.
