What Is Sugaring?

- In this video, I explain what sugaring (wax) is made of and how it works. Sugaring is very different compared to either soft wax or hard wax. Many people will make sugar wax at home since you probably have most of the ingredients in your pantry. Enjoy!

It takes a skilled practitioner to make sure there isn't any uneeded discomfort. I waxed at European Wax center for 5 years and after using sugaring for 2 years I can honestly say it's significantly reduces the density and volume of hair better than waxing. I even did an experiment where is sugared 1/2 of a Brazilian and hard wax the other and then documented the results 4 Weeks later.
I think this video is older, but I had the worst experience with sugar waxing. But after listening to this I’m wondering if it’s cause she did wrong. She absolutely waxed me in the opposite direction my hair growth for a Brazilian. I couldn’t even finish it and I have a really high pain tolerance. I chose to have a baby with no epidural and thought the Brazilian was worse.
Thank you for the video!! I tried making it once and had that same problem, it seemed like a lot of work going over the same area several times, and stretched my skin which was painful and felt like it would mess up my skin over time. On the videos they always make it seem so simple though lol
Ouch!! Not fun... I totally agree!
Sugaring is amazing less pain, Pandhys great company. My issue is when client is sweating sugar paste sticks to the skin... Not nice to get stuck in a bikini area 😶
I’m probably a year to late, but could you re heat the hard wax and use it again. like you would when you re use the sugar?
hey!! can you make a video about how to know if the wax youre using is bad quality! and what are cheap but good options
Oh yes absolutely!
Helllloo :) I have a quick question, hopefully you’re able to answer it. So I have a client who got sugared by someone but they broke out a little after , is there something they can do to get rid of it ? Or anything like that ?? They had asked me but I wasn’t sure what to say & by the way I’m an esthetician student :)
I love sugaring! I have nothing but respect for waxers and the Art of waxing. But I love sugaring because it's 100% natural and the hair is removed in the direction of hair growth eliminating ingrown hairs
I guess we just have different experiences, that's good though!
Thanks hun x
Absolutely! Thank you for the suggestion!!
I’m really glad you did this video! I watch this lady who strictly does sugar waxing and she was claiming that sugaring is better because the technique is to pull with the hair growth resulting in less breakage and more hair removed from the root. I’m not a professional like y’all lovely ladies so I never publicly questioned her but I’m curious on your opinion of her claiming that? I’m pretty sure hair snapping off rather than being pulled from the root was due to poor technique and low quality wax.. but I’m just a diy’er that’s what I’ve gather off the Internet lol
I have a video on my channel showing the results of sugaring VS waxing. You can see a huge difference in how thin the hair comes back with sugar.
Ashlee Danielle I’ll have to check it out!
I've personally tried applying wax in the opposite direction of the hair growth first like sugaring does, and the hair breaks every time. When waxing correctly, it doesn't do that! No idea why she thinks that lol?
In Brazil we banned sugaring because how disgusting and unhygienic it is . Causes the pores to be wide open because sugar is so harsh on the skin it causes microlacerations
What would you recomend to a first time person to wax that has strawberry skin and I mean really bad strawberry skin
Sherida Webley waxing doesn’t get rid of strawberry skin, exfoliating does
Hi question here, in a couple of your videos you said that with hard wax you like to go with the hair growth and then for the clean up you like to go against the hair growth. At my current school (Aveda Institute) my instructor told us that with hard wax we should be going AGAINST the hair growth... can you tell me if applying with/against hair growth depends on the brand of wax you are using? Or should I always be going with the hair growth no matter what type of hard wax I use? Thanks!
No idea why she would say against the hair growth. Tried it, doesn't work at all. Always apply with the hair growth!
I apply against the hair growth for clean ups only.
What tweezers do you recommend?
I use Tweezerman!
Hey can you do a video on how to properly wax your Vagina, arms, and legs at home yourself 😍 with sugar wax and hard and soft wax PLEASE I've been struggling 😔🥺 ohhhh and how to you prevent ingrown hairs on your lady part? 😔🤔 and give detailed information about the steps before and after waxing 😭
Sorry I won't do a video like that. I do have videos talking how to wax and the pre and post wax care steps though.
You are so sweet 💕 whenever i see you i want to kiss you 💋
