    We've just bought this tv and waiting for it to come in. After watching this review I'm now confident we have bought a pretty good tv. :) price was $2500 down to $1500 Aus dollars. 😊

    Thank God you're review has given me a relief, I just purchased this TV without going through reviews. In offer I got it at 95K (a demo led with 25 days old in display)..i hope that aint bad. I was primarily looking for 4K and second is 3D, but this does not support. Do you think lack of 3D is big disappointment? Or without 3D its good. Or 3D are not successful in TVs?

      @ellavarkumnamaskaram 8 років тому

      You don't hav to be disappointed fr no 3d.. Coz all the programs in the TV doesn't support.. Only the 3d movies which comes in Blu-ray discs(which is around 3k) are watchable.. And the extra pair of glasses are so costly (around 3-4k).. I'm buying the 49" inch model soon..

    Hello Info Eyrie Team,
    I do like the passion at which you are delivering the reviews and I would like you to continue with your good work.
    I have shortlisted the 43 inch model, but I have some doubts and it would be great if you can help me out.
    1)Does the 43 inch model also come with the 4K processor X1 chip, as Sony has not mentioned it in the website under the specifications tab of the respective model.
    2)Also, if the HDMI ports are of Version 2.0, as they again have not mentioned about the version under their specifications. Considering this being a 2015 model, I am sure it will be HDMI 2.0 as it comes with HDCP 2.2. But just want it to be sure since they have not specifically mentioned it.
    3) Also HDMI 2.0 along with HDCP 2.2 is capable of transferring content with a speed of 18 GBPS along with 16 bit 4:4:4 chroma sampling, but Sony has listed this product to deliver only a speed of 3 GBPS along with 8 bit 4:2:0 chroma sampling. This has led me re-think about my decision believing that this is a half baked 4K product. In case, this is the best that Sony can deliver, then will it be able to downsize 4K contents with 18GBPS 16 bit 4:4:4 to 3 GBPS 8 bit 4:2:0?
    It should not happen that the TV becomes obsolete when actual native 4K contents start showing up.
    4)Sony says that the 43 inch model comes with a 200HZ motion flow XR, since this is Sony's definition of motion flow, I know that this is not the real value. So is the motion flow 100 HZ or 50 HZ in real?
    5)Since this is not an IPS screen, how are the viewing angle's on this one? Is there a color leak from the edge's. My current Sony bravia 32 inch LCD has this issues where in once the lights are turned off, the colors from the edge's start to show up.
    It would be really great if you can help me out with these questions since I do not want to end up paying big and then repenting in future. I want to take a firm decision before understanding the TV in its true sense.
    Look forward to hearing back from you.

      +Vivek Iyer : My comments below.
      1) Yes: All 3 models are powered by 4k x1 chip.
      2) I could not verify this. Sorry.
      3) I agree. 4k TV's are not perfect yet. I have seen some issues with Samsung UHD TV's as well. I still feel we are not yet there. It will take some more time to get native 4k content in our day to day life.
      4) Even the Sony engineer was unable to confirm this. :( . We tried with some diagnostics however could not get a satisfying result. So, I think we have to believe what company has shown on papers.
      5) Viewing angles are great. Color leak is almost negligible, however yes, as I said before, no manufacturer has designed a perfect TV yet. So I insist, if you really want each of your penny paid off by the device and you are not much into show off ( I have a 4k TV, kind of .. ;) ) then I would say its no use to go for 4K TV's as yet. You will not be able to utilise it to its fullest efficiency.
      Thanks for subscribing. Stay tuned for more exciting content.

    Can you tell us about the connectivity options with PC/Laptop/Tablets:
    What kind of resolution can we get?
    Can we work using this screen (is text sharp and clear?)
    Do we need any special capability in the laptop to be able to get full resolution/refresh rate etc.
    I am so interested in buying the 55" one. Which other TVs do you recommend comparable to this one (I love android but it is new, Web OS on LG is superb but it does not have the rich app ecosystem like android tv so I am confused.)

    • @camcults

      +Vaibhav Garg : As explained in the video, it has tons of connectivity options from HDMI, AVG and composite input to 3.5 mm audio output. So this TV will not disappoint any of your connector cable collection :) .
      Please watch the video to know abt resolution again. I have explained these functions there. About text, yes it cannot be better as it has 4K resolution. Texts look incredibly sharp and even browsing is a good experience
      If you want to connect your laptop to this TV and expect a better resolution then you have to connect using HDMI cable not AV input.
      You can also consider Samsung Smart direct FHD series or UHD series. Watch my review on Smart direct series. Stay tuned. I will review the Samsung UHD TV real soon.

    Nice Review but check out the options available from LG & SAMSUNG. They too have some of the best 4K panels currently in the business.

    The video demonstration tells in the very beginning that all the features are exactly same and only sizes are different viz. 55", 49' & 43". I checked Sony website and it discloses that 43X8500c model is not a 3D model. Please explain about this, really confusing...and am interested in buying the same.

    can you please tell me whats the difference between KDL-43W950C and KD-43X8500C which one is better to buy?

    • @Lakshyakapila
      @Lakshyakapila 9 років тому +1

      +aniruddha tukarul W series is full hd TV and x series onwards are the 4k TV....
      4k = (full hd * 4).... 4 times the resolution on full hd.....problem with 4k is
      no widestream 4k content available (and big no in India , newer developing technology will take 4-5 yrs to be available )
      TV prices in lakhs and 43 inches 4k TV a waste to buy, recommended TV size for 4k is 55' or above .....
      if u buy now a 4k TV now you will literally find no content to watch and upscaling is never same as native video of 4k....
      best would be buy a full hd TV and when 4k becomes widely available then shift for 4k... if u buy now firstly, u will no content and secondly in 2-3 yrs the prices will fall drastically and newer TV's with new tech will arrive.....
