As far as I'm concerned, Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart both deserved Oscar nominations for Logan. Those were the best performances of their Hollywood careers. And talk about historic for the superhero genre

I never thought about what would of happened if Jean got hit with the cure in last stand, the phoenix wasn’t an alien in that version it was just a part of her powers that were subdued via a mental wall, “like death does for Sam Winchester so he doesn’t remember hell and what it did to his soul and memories. once the dam breaks , that is it one wall per customer” , heh but ya, Logan or anyone far enough away could of hit her with the cure while Logan was distracting Jean.
