It’s mind blowing how few concealed carry classes and instructors stress these very basic tenants ~ None of this was covered in my class a few years ago and it was taught by a sheriff’s deputy who should be trained to teach these things. Of the 30 or so people in my class, there were 2 that had any idea what they were doing, yet everyone passed the class ~ Definitely a disconnect in how concealed carry is approached and taught…
this is exactly how i draw and holster from appendix, knew I did it the right way :D Nowadays practically everyone carries appendix and I wish everyone of them can see this because 90% of them do it the not so safe way.
I loved the dude in grey when he was in Super Mario Brothers. I played that all the time back in the day.. On a side note: I'd never draw a weapon in a crowd. I'm going to get away from the action and find cover.. There is just too much liability engaging targets in a crowd. I today's litigation prone society you'd be eaten alive by in criminal and civil court if you accidentally hit a friendly with an over penetration.
LOL I can see this being a thing. Greg successfully takes out an active shooter, saving lives, but the police arrest him anyway. He asks why and the cop says, "You swept Karen and now she's pressing charges."
Craig Douglas (a/k/a “SouthNarc”) is the founder of ShivWorks, a consortium of like-minded professionals devoted to training and product development in the emerging field of interdisciplinary problem-solving for self-defense. Since 2003, Craig has been teaching globally under the ShivWorks brand and has conducted coursework on entangled shooting skills in nearly 40 states and nine foreign countries. He has taught for federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and to three branches of the U.S. military.
Well Craig, I'd just karate chop the guy to my right in the throat, followed by an elbow back jab to the solar plexus of the guy in the 'way of the gun' t-shirt behind me, then finish with an ankle smash with my left foot the other guy on my left.. and then draw. I'd do this taking my time... fast! Seriously though, draw the same way.. on or off the range. Minimal movement. That way no need to adjust due to crowds.
Sir, I didn't hear a word you said after Luigi walked into the frame! That mustache is truly a thing of beauty!
It reminds me of my own inadequacies. 😥
Always informative. Thank you Mr Douglas.
This is the draw I believe John Farnam created that has been adopted by many schools. I do like the thumb idea.
Great information
Great video. I'm going to have to watch it again though with some tape on the screen so I don't focus on that moustache.

Amazing video...awesome tip to draw and holster the gun...ill train it
Great information. This just doesn't get covered enough. And candidly, doesn't get practiced as often as it should when we work on our draw strokes.

Very good instructor and quality content! Thank you for sharing
That “Snidely Whiplash” mustache has got to be a very effective birth control device.
Good job

If I saw these 4 standing this way, I think I would be drawing my gun.
I couldn't concentrate with the French man standing next to him 😆
I know that guy! He’s an mma trainer and he’s top notch. Mike Sandford. Tread lightly.

So... you had older siblings too huh. Always stuck playing Luigi !!
I couldn’t concentrate. That dude........
can we talk about that grey shirt guy's mustache??
Is that a Kaventsmann watch?
Looks like a Seiko Tuna to me, though I didn't examine it frame-by-frame.
Dude on the left with the mustache and the beret is he even from this country lol

Who invited the chef from "The Little Mermaid"?
It would be hard not to flag that mustache.
Rewatched 5 times... all I hear is the Mustache...
Yes, please don't flag Luigi.

@@TriggerTimeTV LOL....I just find it amusing that so many of your viewers can't handle the Tatiana Whitlock videos
Yes, plenty.
Thank you for your service Craig as narcotics and swat is no walk in the park.
Fuckin' peeky blinders!

I guess he has been in a fight or 2.
You can't look like a cool gun guy witha guy with a gay mustache next to you.
If you are neutralizing an active shooter i don't really give a shit if you sweep me
Airsoft!!
Why is everyone covering their junk?
David in Arizona - yep, appendix is for morons. I don’t care how safe they think they are. It’s plain stupid.

@Ziggy Zig Hands straight down, relaxed, comfortable, non-threatening, non-defensive
Craig Douglas teach very goofy and dangerous techniques. He takes a lot of chances with your life in his classes.
Could have made this a 3 second video that just says “don’t flag people mmmki
Semper Fi because I’m not an attention whore
